H let me sleep in, took baby I out of the house alone for the first time and picked up breakfast. We have zero plans today and baby I just went down for a nap in his bed. Shaping up to be a good day already. Laundry. Here I come.
Well, DD woke up today and is her normal self, so obviously DH was right about her head and I'm glad I didn't overreact (even though I wanted to).. she still has a bump that's tender, but that's bumps for you. It's taking time, but I'm still working on convincing myself that she's a normal kid.
DS is doing about the same. Nursing only long enough (1-2 mins) to take the edge off. But he slept last night. He's still having wet diapers (but not soaked like normal). So another day of watch and wait. Boo.
Beautiful day here! I hope to go for a walk when DD wakes up from her nap. I'm being lazy today!
DD is starting to lose it when I leave the room. I guess leap 5 is in full effect. She usually goes to bed on her own great but last night she acted like she was being ripped a part when I put her down and left. Even after the middle of the night feedings. This of course had to happen when my inlaws were staying in the room next to hers. Ugh.

We were considering buying the Diono Rainer since it is a lightning deal today, but I think it may end up being more cost efficient to buy a 65 pound convertible and then a booster, but I am torn on if that will cut out rear facing time the kids could be getting.

My body is ridiculous. Last night I had 2 beers and a glass of wine over the course of about 3 hours. Well this morning was awful. Woke up with a headache and sick to my stomach. Really, body? Get it together! 😡

Regarding extended rear facing, keep in mind the height requirements too. J is in a seat that allows 40 lbs. rear facing (he's 33 lbs.) but he's about to hit the shoulder height limit. We're about to buy him forward facing seats that convert to boosters and move A into the rear facing convertibles.

Thanks! This newbie mom didn't even think about that.

Yeah I thought about that and the Diono gives like 4 more inches of height for rear facing, but since I missed the deal the only way I would get it now would be if it was on sale again at a later date.

I didn't consider nursing friendly apparel before dressing for this wedding. So here I sit in a restroom stall nearly naked, pumping. But I am listening to some funny ladies fighting and cussing at their Spanx. At least it's a bit entertaining!

At my SIL'S cottage. Just went for a 5k hike carrying the 14lb baby! I'm pretty proud. Now I'm pumping. Is napped half the hike so I'm hoping bedtime goes OK so we can enjoy our visit and maybe have a drink or two instead of running up and down the stairs to switch off rocking.

Beautiful fall day here! Potty training is in full force for DD and she's done great today. Going naked has worked so well. I did put a diaper on her when we went into town for lunch. I explained that it was only because we were going out and she totally got it. We enjoyed a local harvest fest downtown and lunch at my new favorite spot. Then DD took her diaper off herself when we get home and used the potty! She only had one accident all day.
DS is not doing well with nap training. I swear the kid hates naps. But night time went well again last night, hopefully it's another good one tonight!
