Night out with friends and decent night of sleep. I'm ready to take on the day!
The haunted house was fun. Crowded, but fun. My step-mom was all, "I hope you didn't take M!" HAVE SOME FAITH, WOMAN. I can see the headline now, "18-month-old Dead of Heart Attack at Haunted House."
M and I have to go grocery shopping. It sounds like SO will let me go shopping solo at Target when he gets home. We're pretty sure my winter clothes have been accidentally donated to charity, as they are nowhere to be found. Sigh... I need clothes. Take all my monies, Target (and maybe Boscov's).
Decided to skip church last night because f had another rough night. She was coughing Friday night but ok yesterday. Woke last night around 12:30 and coughed thought the rest of the night and it was a nasty sounding cough. Grocery store and I'd like to do a little shopping for work clothes. Perhaps get cold weather stuff out and see what I have!
TTMA Croup. I don't think I've dealt with it before. F woke coughing last night (second night in a row) but it sounded like a nasty bark which I know is a telltale sign of croup.
rvamama M hasn't had croup, but I did at 12 and remember it well. Barking cough is definitely a sign, but it's usually accompanied by wheezing and breathing difficulties, because the wind pipe can become constricted. High fever. Hoarse voice. Our pedi said coughs can sound worse in littles than they really are, so don't panic too much until other symptoms present themselves.
I don't know. MH is sleeping on the couch (NOT SICK, BTW). I feel like death. I tried to lock N in my room with me so I could at least lay down but she was just not having it. Whacked me with a flashlight and sat on my head and all the other good toddler moves. So. Whatever. I'm already officially not going to work tomorrow, don't care how I feel. I'm sick of getting zero around here, whether I'm sick or not.. and I know I'm going to have my drag my own ass + a toddler to the grocery store later.
Thanks, y'all. I'm drinking coffee, which is helping. Watch me crash later, though!! MH made me some toast.
Is my kid really this nuts on a regular day? She was almost on top of the table and I can't even see the living room rug. Toys errrywhere. Or I'm just so slow today. Maybe I'm normally able to control her a bit before it gets this bad. Haha.
ladymike e can destroy a room in a few minutes. This morning I was working on breakfast and she pulled the whole bon of legos into the kitchen. Stopped her before they were everywhere
Morning friends! It's Napa wine tasting day (my sister's bachelorette "party") and I'm excited but also super tired and having trouble getting going. Once I get there I know I'll have fun... Cranky fuss baby isn't helping, either. I need to leave here in like an hour and a half so I need to get with it. If only this child would let go of my leg and stop screaming "UPPIE" to be held constantly. rvamama- I agree with what malvo shared. Spiked fever, hoarseness, deep breathing noises or whistles, as well as the barky cough. My kids both get extremely flushed and will also cry almost constantly when they have it.
malvoLesleyEO I'm going to go with the weather for now then. She's happy as pie and fine during the day. I'll try the humidifier tonight and see if that helps the night time cough. Both of my kids have these raspy voices. People comment on it all the time!
I just spent almost an hour in target all by muhself! And scored boots on clearance for $20!!!
Anyone see the MMCH episode called "Minnie's Martian Tea Party?" In the beginning, Martian Mickey asks for Minnie and, of course, she pops out of the kitchen. Why does this bug me? Am I too invested in cartoons? Do I need more adult TV in my life? It just feels so stereotypical to me. Like, of course she comes out of the f'ing kitchen. RAWR.
jnow last two nights she's woken around midnight, brought her to my bed and she was restless and coughed A bunch. Last nights coughing was worse. She's been a bit fussy today but now bad. I am going to try the humidifier on low tonight and see if that helps. May also put a water sippy in her bed.
Still no AF. H freaked when I jokingly told him to go get a test. C is going to bring me one tomorrow. She's definitely pregnant so doesn't need to keep poas.
