Her sleep has gone to hell. Every time I put her to bed, she's acting like I am burning her! She screams so much! Someone tell me his is developmental and the phase will pass? It's heartbreaking and is happening at all middle of the night wake ups.

Maybe I'm being heartless, but I don't feel bad about the kids getting shots. I think of all of the babies that used to get diseases we can easily prevent and I'm gung ho to sign them up for every available vaccination.
Of course I do give cuddles afterwards, I'm not a monster.

fishbulb it isn't the shot portion that makes it sad for me; they are going to get them for the reasons you listed hands down. It is the later in the day fussies of three babies that could last two days that makes it sad for me since there isn't always enough hands to comfort all three if they decide they have to be in a wonky position.

^^^this except I have enough hands to comfort. I just feel bad that she doesn't understand what's going on and that it's really to her benefit. We are getting them regardless though! I'm all for vaccines! Lol

nerdykitten, I imagine that trying to comfort three with two arms is hard. If it helps, the older J gets the less he seems to notice shots. He got a flu shot last week and barely flinched and wasn't bothered by it afterwards. I got the same shot the day before and I was whining about a sore arm for two days.

Dudes! We STTN for the first time in over a month. 10-5 and 5:30-7:30. I feel like a new woman!
We did a few things differently by chance so here are my new superstitions: cooler clothes on baby, sleepy EO's on me, our bed not his, teething necklace off just before bed. If it works again I'm never ever changing that up lol. I feel soooo goood.
I can tell these EO's couldl help me lose weight. See, I stress eat junk food horribly, but I do feel calmer with this EO blend already. I love it and could see myself rolling some EOs on my wrists when I feel stressed instead of eating an entire box of cookies. We shall see!

I'm sorry. Lo has been like this recently too but he has a bit of congestion so I've attributed it to that.
Last night H took his lovey away from him when we went to bed(like we do every night) and he immediately woke up and started fussing. I fed him, rocked him, patted his back and nothing worked. He would not stop crying so I gave him his lovey back and he slept for 4 hours. I wanted to wait until he was older to give it to him all night.
Night time sleep is same as always for the most part.
Naps are a hot mess. Suggestions welcome. He refuses to nap in crib if he does its 45 mins max. Best naps are in the bathroom in his rnp with the water running or vent on. When he wakes in the crib he goes straight into a purple scream. He's fine in the pnp so I don't j is that it's a flat surface issue.
I've tried pretty much replicating night time by using his sleep sack, night light on, etc.
The only thing I haven't tried is a white noise machine. I'd rather not spend the money but idk
Since he wakes up screaming most of the time I don't have much of a chance for him to self sooth he just screams. Patting his back does nothing.
I never wanted rnp to be his napping place but I've been desperate the last few weeks.
I've had such a productive day... this morning I vacuumed, cleaned up the kitchen, did 3 loads of laundry (wash, dry AND put away), washed my sheets, brought Ry to the chiropractor, and I just finished grocery shopping! I'm rewarded myself with some Dunkin' Donuts 😋
teraiin try a white noise app and see if it helps. My lo wakes up as soon as our sound machine goes off during nap time, so I try to go in and reset it before it goes off.

Realistically I know that's probably the easiest solution. 😩
I think led mentioned a long YouTube video with waterfalls maybe I'll try that
I think I'm having a hard time reconciling the fact that in many areas babies are the boss 😂
I wish I could do laundry during the day. Our hydro rates are ridiculous, and we're on a time of use billing schedule where the peak time is twice as much as the off peak time. So of course 11-5 is peak(until next Monday) and I refuse to use the dryer and pay Hydro One more than we have to. Winter season peak is right when most people are cooking dinner. I hate Hydro One.

I use an app called baby sleep sounds. Lots of sounds and you can set a time or let it go unlimited. I used to use it in the car when lo went through his car hating phase.

We've gotten to the point where R just cries and fusses if we're eating and not sharing. If she can see us eating we're done for. Unfortunately this became super evident when we went out for dinner last night. I ended up giving her a bite of mashed up pancake with water. Super healthy, but she loved it and it calmed her down. She's so ready to eat food. I don't know if I'll be able to hold out for a whole month.

Honestly, I would just go for it. I'm a "watch the baby, not the calendar" kind of person. The recommendations change so much anyways. Unless you have some serious food allergies in the family I wouldn't worry too much about waiting until she's exactly six months.

I think my feeding her bits here and there is not helping matters. Lol. I need to actually read the research and make a decision. I still don't really understand enough about blw and I want to be able to make a choice there as well. I've feed her solid a few times when she's refused to nurse, so I really should just go for it. I'm already half way there. Ha.

B screams like this as well. All times of night.
Ok so it must be developmental then. I'm sorry you and B are dealing with this too but I'm glad I'm not alone.

+1
Lo is 5 months tomorrow and has had carrots, squash, sweet potatoes and pears.
There is nothing wrong with doing a mix of purees and blw to start if you want to start early. I had huge anxiety about blw and I couldn't commit fully to it with ds1 so we did a mix. Ds1 gagged so bad on mashed potatoes that he projectile vomited all over the place. He still won't eat mashed potatoes. lol
