So he's tired now and fell asleep on me, the second I put him in his crib lately he freaks out. I've had to practically wait til he's unconscious for naps this week. Overnight went well for putting him down awake at least, and we only had 2 wake ups, though from 3:45-4:30 he was singing to himself in his crib....again....

Apparently I carved my pumpkins too early. Or left them sitting inside too long. The ghost one is caving in and moldy this morning.
I'm going to try to get to the gym today for some me time. But given how DD was awake at 3 and 4, we're all tired this morning.
That sucks after the work of carving it. We picked one from the pumpkin patch last year and it rotted before we even got to carve it, I'm glad DD1 wasn't too upset. We just went out and bought another at the store.
If I carve them early I put plastic wrap over the carving and keep it refrigerated, if possible, or in the garage since it's usually cooler.

It's 8:45 and everyone's still sleeping. I am going to be heading out the door for the library between 9:30 and 10. My mornings are always a race to the door!

My poor baby threw up in her crib last night for no apparent reason. Of course she didn't want to go back to sleep after all of the fuss of changing her and changing sheets. She doesn't have a fever and seemed fine, so I have no idea what was up with that. DH is dragging because he was on baby duty last night and I totally left him to deal with her after helping him get things cleaned up. Sorry not sorry.
I have an afternoon meeting at Starbucks and I'm stupidly excited. I never treat myself just because, so I'm glad to have an excuse to go.

This is how it's been for us too.. as soon as he goes in the crib he freaks out. He does not want to leave my arms when he's tired. Even the CIO method (which always used to work in just a couple minutes) doesn't help anymore. I just get stuck in a cycle of crying and holding and why won't you nap.
Morning! We are going to sky zone with MIL and then lunch after. I need to run to the mall either after lunch or after nap to pick up some shoes I bought online to pick up in store.
I just accidentally bonked S's head on the doorframe. This is something I've been paranoid about since H was first born. She screamed, of course, I feel so bad.

Morning! We are back home now from a fun weekend. He slept poorly at the AirBnb, but that was expected... last night he was up every hour from 12-6 when I finally just gave up. Tired.
I need to find or make my mom a bday present to get in the mail by tomorrow. I have a meeting for work and then I tutor tonight. Just some house stuff otherwise.
musicalsilver, I hope the steroids help your girl and you don't end up with another ER trip. Sorry for all the sick babies and tired mamas!

Aw
I'm still getting used to wearing X on my back. He gets knocked into a lot of things because I'm not used to needing that extra space back there.

I've done that. Or even on a corner wall. Go to turn around and underestimate my movement. Whoops!

So he fell asleep in the stroller which is fine. I started making soup while he sleeps in the entrance. I hear him babbling and sighing so I go get him, and he's still asleep? Lol He seems to take after me! I apparently say a lot when I'm sleeping.

Some sleep deprived Tuesday reflections:
1) I opened our Halloween candy. I knew it was a bad choice as I was doing it. I don't remember loving Twix so much.
2) We just got a check in the mail from the hospital- we have finally paid off the delivery AND overpaid, so we get a little bit back! Woohoo! This calls for a Twix.
3) Does vision change after pregnancy? My vision has always been bad, but I feel like my current prescription is shit now.

When I had my eye exam last year, the optometrist asked me if I was breastfeeding, because apparently that can change vision a bit.

You guys. I just saw the full Gilmore Girls Year in the Life trailer and I am literally having some sort of conniption at my desk right now. I smiled, I laughed, I cried, I'm worried, I'm thrilled...I'm much too much excited for this to be a tv show...
The one day I put my kid in a snap neck (read: can't pull down over body) *white* onesie.. is the day we have poopsplosion. All down his leg. On his arm. I don't even know

I feel the same way I feel when I'm about to see my best friend who I only see a few times a year. I forgot Edward Herrmann passed away and they'd have to address that. Ah, I can't handle all of these emotions at once right now.

I knew it would have spoilers but I couldn't not watch... so good!! And nothing I didn't suspect anyways. Must finish 3 seasons in the next month!!!

I thought I didn't need to rewatch the series in preparation for the new episodes, but now I'm sitting here wondering how I can fit seven seasons into one month without completely shirking my responsibilities as employee, wife, and parent.

What's that? All I hear is "See ya in a month. Gotta watch GG"

I just rewatched it and can't wait another month!!!! I didn't find the spoilers too bad. I'm happy I watched the trailer. Poor Emily looks destroyed and it broke my heart.
