Hey ladies! R is 6 weeks today and he's been eating a lot more recently so I'm thinking growth spurt. He's smiling up a storm and is finding his voice and starting to coo.
He enjoys or tolerates tummy time depending on the day, and if I sit him up in my lap or lay him on the Boppy he can hold his head up for a bit already!
He loves being outside so it sucks that it has gotten so chilly and windy this week. We still go outside to play with our dog, but today required lots of bundling up!
PDQ pics
Here he is showing off his head holding skills! **poof**

Okay, I'll play 😃. G is 11 days old today. His likes include boob, snuggles, and being warm. Dislikes include having a wet diaper, having said diaper changed, and being cold. Today was supposed to be the date of my RCS. I went back to the OB yesterday for a BP check, and it was fine. We weighed G this morning, and he is within an ounce of his birth weight.
Here is a pic that N took of G and me last night. He may have a future in photography. Sorry it's huge.
Hi! Sorry I'm so late - DH and I prepped 20 freezer meals today! I go back to work in a week and he wanted to have easy stuff to make while solo parenting.
Flint is doing well! He decided this week he was going to start rolling and chattering! It is super cute. He's also a champ at holding his head up during tummy time. The downside is that he has now also decided not to sleep at night lol he is up A LOT more often than he used to be. Yay 3 month spurt... lol We got a Merlin sleep suit so hopefully that starts to help.
I'm getting very sad/anxious/nervous about going back to work. I'm sad that I'll be spending more time with my students than my own kid. I know it's silly but I feel like he'll grow closer to DH than to me since they'll be together all day. I'm worried about him giving DH a hard time. All the usual stuff I'm sure.
Pictures! visiting with great-grandma playing with his BFF (F kept kicking him in the head lol) hamming it up
GL to everyone in the home stretch! Fx for some uneventful deliveries. Please send sleepy vibes this way - I need them lol
DS2 is 11 days old now. He really is a sweet, chill baby. He only cries during diaper changes and has been giving us 2-3 hour stretches of sleep at night. Today he got his first bath and didn't even cry during that! We have his 2 week checkup, which is mostly just a weight check, on the 31st and I don't think he'll have any trouble being back at birth weight. 😉
I have a follow up appointment with my OB tomorrow to check my blood pressure and incision. I've been following at home and I'm finally getting better numbers, so tomorrow should go well. Otherwise, I feel great.
Here's a pic of both my boys for your viewing pleasure. I know it's huge. I need to learn to spoiler. Sorreh. *poof*
Par.ker was born at 39+0 on 10/20 at 11:06 by scheduled csection due to size. He came out at 9lbs 5oz and 20.5in long. He had some trouble breathing in the first several hours and spent a night in NICU but since has been doing extremely well. He's a pretty awesome dude and we are so in love. Currently he is on a marathon feeding day and has nursed 20 of the last 24 hours. Needless to say my nipples are a little sore tonight! Otherwise he likes to give daddy a hard time with diaper changes since he hates to be changed and he loves to make funny faces at us and get licks from his dogs.
His first pedi visit yesterday went well. The doctor wanted him to gain a little more weight so he said to feed him every 2 hours (P obv heard this as a challenge) and we go back tomorrow for another check. Newborn photos are also tomorrow!!
Here's some pictures of my love bug. PDQ (I'll poof later)
XP From Yesterday, 10/24, on O'16 has been a whirlwind of a day.
A short summary: Baby Penguin was born at 12:37 pm via c-section weighing 8 lbs and 10 oz. She had a lot of fluid in her airway and they kept trying to get it out buy couldn't. I saw her care team go from one, to two, then to three people and knew it wasn't good. She was taken to the NICU and been on the CPAP ever since because she is not breathing on her own strong enough yet. I saw her once on my way from the 3rd floor to the 4th floor and should be getting to see her again sometime after 10 pm. I am counting down the minutes and watching the clock like a hawk.
*I'll be posting an update thread hopefully in the morning from how today, 10/25, went. DD2 is breathing on her own now without the help of the CPAP, but there is more going on now that they can't pinpoint a reason for. I'm completely and utterly exhausted and just can't get to it now. She is still in the NICU.*

Sorry to hear she's still in the NICU penguin129. Glad to hear she's breathing on her own and I hope they figure what else is going on quickly. Hope besides exhausted you're recovering ok.
R will be 7 weeks old tomorrow. He's smiling like crazy now. Sleep has been meh but I think he's going through a growth spurt. He's already in 3 month clothes. I go back to work next week. I'm a mix of being ready and incredibly sad and I've definitely already ugly cried a few times. I think I'll be fine once I get through that first week.
I've been thinking about you the last few days penguin129. Glad to hear your LO is off CPAP. Hopefully they're able to find/resolve anything else that's going on quickly. Sending you positive vibes for a speedy recovery!
My little guy is 5 weeks today. He's starting to smile here and there, but not enough to catch on camera just yet. He hates laying flat on his back, so the transition from RnP to crib isn't going very well. Trying to start with naps, but he just screams and cries. I thought I was making progress the other day, but it was a fluke apparently.
I gave up on the crib nap this afternoon because we had a rough day yesterday and this morning's crib nap resulted in mostly crying and not much sleeping.
He actually didn't scream in anger when we did some tummy time today. He found his hand and decided to gnaw on it instead.

Hey guys. Sorry I'm late. Work has been crazy. The girls are 19 weeks old and so happy and fun. Finn squeals and laughs loudly all the time and Evie coos and "talks". Finn loves to lay and wiggle and roll while Evie prefers to sit or sleep. I'll spoiler the pictures since they are huge. Bonus adorable video of the squealing.
