I'm up at 6 again...after being up at 11 then 2 then 4.... I am Le tired.
Also can I ask why the boxed wine was a big deal? Is boxed wine new to you guys or is it this brand that's good? (I only ask because boxed wine is old news here but if some brands came out with them I'd set up an iv)

Morning! I think boxed wine is a big deal because it's actually good boxed wine, as opposed to the nasty (imo) stuff that our grandparents used to have. Or that's my take on it, at least. They also make capri-sun-ish boxed wine, and that was a game changer for summers before I was pregnant and a mom and no fun.
The longest stretch of sleep I got last night was 55 minutes. I think my brain is actually going to just shut down. I don't know how he's doing it.

Rivers that sucks about the sleep! Magoo finally went down for a nap. I am all touched out. He fought me for an hour. Daycare as soon as he wakes up. I'm going to see if he will eat lunch there too. I need time and space! I think I'm going to ask my MIL to come spend a few days soon, I need a mental break.

Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte on deck. Add me to the exhausted club. L woke at 3:30, which was fine. What wasn't fine was her waking and bloody murder screaming every time I tried to put her back down. She finally went down at 4:50 only to wake up at 4:57 right as I was getting comfortable in bed again. I didn't get her back down for good until 5:30. WTF baby girl?
I also stepped on the scale to discover I've gained 1.5lbs since ending my Whole30 last week. So, I guess I'm going to enjoy the next few days and basically get back to whole30 eating on Monday. I don't care if I lose weight slower than I did the last month, but I'm damn sure not going to settle for gaining anything back.
Yea I think boxed wine used to have the reputation of being shitty and cheap, the kind of thing you see at a redneck bonfire. But it's getting more popular and more brands are coming out with stuff.
I don't get this kid. Two days in a row now, he refuses to nap for me and is a little cranky monster, and then daddy comes home and he's all giggles and goes to bed for him no problem (my H usually does bedtime). What gives, child?

Daycare plans got scrapped. Timing sucks with their lunch etc so we are doing tomorrow and Friday. No me gusta. I need me time. I literally started crying the second time he refused to go down.

Sorry you're having a rough day. Get your MIL on the schedule soon so you can get a bit of a break!

kellybenelly83, oh that false hope for daycare is rough. Sorry for your tough day. I hope it gets better and you get a break in some form soon! Hang in there. Momming is awesome, but when it's hard, it's damn hard.
Literally everything upsets or frustrates this kid. He's acting like a 2 year old with tantrums. This is just the leap, right? My sweet happy baby will come back to me soon? Please?!

The boxed wine talk made me think of a funny/awkward story from my childhood that I'll share because I'm delirious and it seems like people here may need a giggle.
When I was in 5th grade, my stepdad's brother came to visit us for a few days. One day we got home from work/school to find a previously unopened box of Franzia wine completely drained, him passed out naked in the living room floor, and the confederate flag spray painted on our wall in red, blue, and yellow. My stepdad woke him up and they got into a fight resulting in the cops chasing him half naked through our neighborhood for a good while.
Moral of the story: take it easy on the boxed wine.

Wow. Normally boxed wine in my family just results in bad dancing and loud aunts. And brutal honesty regarding your hair/weight/outfit etc

rivers and roads, just hit things besides poles. Knowing what I do now, I would probably aim for things that have some give - hedges, curbside recycling bins.
piperhalliwell, that is an awesome story. Franzia can be dangerous.

piperhalliwell I am SO sorry for you stepdad. But that story is amazing. My best friend and I have always talked about doing a Tour de Franzia (where you split a box of wine then race on big wheels bikes around a previously set up course) but we haven't made it happen. Yet. Life goals.
I'm so sorry for all the bad sleep. I have all the sympathies. L still has never come close to sttn. Which is awful but it makes the regression times just like any other night...

Add me to the tired club. DS woke up at 4. Luckily a little rocking and his soother put him back to sleep until almost 7. but DD woke up at 4:55 and took much longer to go back down. H tried dealing with her first but I could tell he was getting frustrated with her. So I took over.
Luckily it was her daycare day so we were able to get a little nap in after I got home from dropping her off.
I'm side lying nursing ds to try to get him to nap. Got tired of the screaming when I kept trying to put him down and he's clearly tired. Probably won't do much of anything today. Tonight we're purchasing a new garage door and hopefully ordering an area rug. Exciting times yo.

Well we took a walk (it's 3 degrees out) and I'm still feeling this feeling. It's like when he was newborn! Why hormones?? Why?
Hugs, mama.
Sleep deprivation tends to make me more emotional/less able to handle the little hiccups of the day. Hope you get a nap. Or wine. Or both. Wine, then nap?
