We didn't use BC between kids and I was unlucky enough to get my period 4/5 months pp with Gage even though he was ebf. So I haven't been on the pill in like 5 years. So forgive me I have forgotten what is normal.
Well with Ellison you all know I bled forever. So my pp bleeding stopped at 5 weeks. I started the mini pill the day before she turned 7 weeks (which was Sunday). And today seem to have started my period. Is that normal? I can't believe I built up enough lining in two weeks for a period. I hate to call my doc if its nothing. Dr. Google has lots of stories of this being normal but I don't know when their pp bleeding stopped. I literally still had red blood and clots still until 5 weeks.

I got my period immediately when I started the pill at 6 weeks. I was pissed. I didn't have bleeding until 5 weeks, but I'm thinking it must just be hormonal from the pill to start a period.

I learned that "normal" PP bleeding is very different for everyone. After K I bled for 10 months straight and it was way more than spotting. I'm sharing this only because while it was uncommon, all my tests for hemmorage and retained placenta were normal. Just an example of how crazy pp can be. I got Implanon put in at 8 weeks Pp and I blame that even though the doctors said it should have stopped the bleeding. Iron supplements became my friends. It never hurts to ask your doctor. I hope it stops for you soon. Nobody should have to deal with back to back periods!
Progesterone only pills like the mini pill are notorious for causing irregular bleeding and spotting. Is the bleeding abnormally heavy?
No. Honestly it was more than spotting but less than a flow. Now that I look back at the week I did have all of my pre period things. I do think the 5 pills was enough of a change to start one. I suppose since it has only been 2 weeks since the bleeding has stopped that is why it is so "light". 5 days in I already want to stop it

If you aren't happy with it, I would definitely consider something else. The mini pill leaves no room for error and even taking it a little late one day can decrease its effectiveness and cause breakthrough bleeding.

My only choice is that, mirena (which I won't get) or depo (which I was on for years and dont want to go back). So it would be back to NFP

Yeah, and the new rec on depo is not to use for greater than 2 years due to bone loss later in life. Is there a reason you don't want a Mirena or paragard?

I know way to many people who have had problems with them. Also lots recommend you try the mini pill for a month and if your milk has issues or you don't like the progesterone side effects you won't like the mirena. We will most likely have another in a couple years, so kind of a waste to have in for a year.
A big one is MissMusic and her experience. She just had her surgically removed. Also I have more friends and family who hated it then liked it. I guess I have strong feelings on them. I would do the copper IUD if I wouldn't have it out again right away. H is getting snipped after our last so I wont have to worry about this again.
