I'm so annoyed. H woke up early and started listening to music (loud) which woke both the baby and I up. I asked him what on earth would possess him to blast music at 5:30am and he looked at me and said "I forgot"
What? Wait, what did you forget? That it was 5:30? That there were people sleeping?
He apologized but I have a very fussy tired baby who won't go back to sleep and I feel exhausted lol
Omg I would be livid. So mad. Sorry for that teraiin
I'm tired too. At least this is a short day! My first conference is 45 mins after normal arrival time and my last conference is at 1:30. Then I'm done! And I have tomorrow off. Yay!
Rough night here thanks to the congestion. I was probably up close to 50 times, one of which included a full outfit/sheet change thanks to some coughing induced vomiting. And in true ellesea kid fashion ds1 is still asleep and I've been up with lo for over an hour. And to make my day complete I woke up to this.
To answer your question from last night westiemom teeth could possibly cause that. We had that happen a few times with A where he'd be a miserable crying mess and we'd try everything to no avail. Give him Tylenol/ Motrin and 20 mins later he's fine. Sorry you were dealing with that last night. I hope today is better for you both!

teraiin nope. That would probably anger me for an entire day. I don't get upset often, but you don't mess with my kids sleep.
snoris the weather is so weird. A week ago it was 19c, today 1c and Tuesday back to 17c.
Thanks westiemom he is acting completely normal. So at least I know he doesn't feel too crummy. The cough and snotty nose seem to be the only symptoms. He's had both for a few days already, but last night was the worst.

It was not a good night here. Damian and Laurel up between 1 and 2. Then Laurel didn't want to go to sleep until almost 3. Gwen up at four. Damian also up because he finally rolled over in his crib and it freaked him out; like it was killing his screams. Then up again at 6:30 with Damian and 7:40 with Gwen.

We had our harvest party at church last night... dh coordinates and runs it so it was a busy night for us .. we had approx 300 people come 😱 needless to say I'm tired. I think we may do CIO/sleep training before the holidays because I'm seriously struggling waking up multiple times at night

Damian has an appointmwnt at 9.
My lo has been rolling over in his sleep for about a week and he still cries every time he does it. It's getting a bit old. Ds1 never did this.

We had another weird night with intense hourly wakeups from 8pm-1am. Luckily he finally slept after all that.
DS and I are going to visit a friend today who's DS is just two months old! My first time meeting him and our first play date with both boys! It's gonna be a cuteness overload!
I'm drowning. I really need today to be better than yesterday. I'm just already so emotionally drained I don't have the energy to give her all the attention that she wants. Even when I'm giving her all I have sometimes it's not enough and I just don't know what to do but let her be fussy and keep trying. Ugh. Please let today be better. At least better naps.

Hugs. I'm feeling the same today. I think letting her fuss and work out her issues is going down here today. It's no fun but it's been a tough week. You are a great momma.

@led and teraiin, I hope things get better for you both and that the babies rest today.
nerdykitten, I don't know how you do it with three. You are my hero!
DS was doing the freak out thing for about 4 nights when he rolled over in his sleep. But the past two nights have seemed better and he has slept better after rolling onto his tummy. So that's a win in my book.

This momma is no nonsense today and put Laurel in her crib to fuss it out when she had been put everywhere else and still fussed. On 3ish hours sleep and my MIL as my other help today I have no tolerance for cranky babies.

I feel like I broke my baby. I nursed him out him in the crib with his glow rattle and then went outside in the cold for 5 minutes because I needed space from the fussiness. I could hear him crying as I left. When I came back in she was sleeping on the monitor. The ridiculous part of me is like "omg is he breathing?!"
Sigh. Someone tell me I wasn't wrong to just leave him in his crib for a little bit lol
Yes teraiin you're totally fine! You do what you need to do to keep yourself sane. We can't be the best mom possible if we're going crazy. Sometimes babies just need some space and to work it out themselves. I'm glad he finally settled down for you.

He's still sleeping so if nothing else at least he's napping. Whew

teraiin yes! Sometimes we all need a minute. Mamas and babies included! Re: feeling concerned about unusual naps, I felt the same way when baby I fell asleep on a walk yesterday... so unusual I had to keep checking on him 😂
As clingy/cranky as she's been, I was able to get a decently long bath and she just sat there calmly the entire time! Of course as soon as I got out she was cranky again. But it was a nice break.

Nope. Not wrong at all. Huge hugs. Sometimes, we have to take care of ourselves so we can take care of the baby. You know how they say babies will not sleep and be fussy right before they learn a new skill? I keep telling myself that Olivia better know how to make her own food or some other awesome skill after all this non-sleeping/fussiness I'm dealing with this week. Hugs and solidarity friend.

So DS keeps peeing out of diapers at night. We use cloth during the day but haven't had luck with our fitteds or pockets at night (they leak). Disposables were working until recently and now he is peeing out of those. He's in a size 3 which still fit. Do you guys with heavy wetters recommend overnight diapers? We haven't ever used them.
