DS slept until 745. That the latest he's ever slept. Ever. In 3 years. And he's still in bed talking to himself. Something about how a platypus has a funny tail. Hilarious.
My dad is coming up for a little visit this morning. Probably taking us out for lunch.
Last night we went to a Halloween party at the nursing home where SIL works. They had games and trick or treating for the kids. DD and DS had fun. They looked so adorable in their costumes. I was holding DS all evening so I didn't get a chance to take photos. FIL and SMIL got a few though.
We'll be going to Boo at the Zoo either tomorrow or Sunday so more opportunities for photos.

DH just took the baby to go pick up breakfast. I think he put her in short-sleeves and a hoodie. It is like 40 degrees this morning. I guess we need to talk about how to dress a baby appropriately for the weather.
If I can stop being lazy I'll take baby and puppy for a walk this morning, it's crisp and sunny out. My bigger problem is what to dress me in - my fall jacket doesn't fit well anymore lol.

I love Fridays because I look forward to pizza and booze all day.
We're doing trunk or treat at SS's taekwondo studio this evening. I'm praying L takes some decent naps at daycare so she isn't a hot mess while we're there. For that matter, I'm praying SS isn't a hot mess. Last year he got a bit too excited, forgot how to listen, and got himself in trouble. At least I won't be pregnant and short fused for it this go around.

We're going to a Halloween party tomorrow night so today I have to go gets few things for our couples costume. DD is gonna go with me but the boys will go to daycare. I don't want her around all them kids that are coughing and hacking when she has her healing incision.
Sunday evening my sister convinced me to do a trunk or treat so well probably make decorations for that!
We are also buried in Halloween stuff. Yesterday was ToTing at the senior center, which was adorable. The residents loved it. Today is a party at SO's work. These events are always fun but also so crowded and anxiety provoking. Yesterday there were SO MANY kids. And DS kept darting through the crowd and I was trying to reach him while not dropping L... i kept hearing myself say "this is so fun!" and I kind of meant it, but as soon as we got in the car it felt more like OHMYGODNOBODYTOUCHMEFORFIVEMINUTES. I am trying to mentally prepare for the same today. At least SO will be there, and in Super Dad mode since he will be trying to impress coworkers

I was all on track to get to Mom and Baby gym this morning but DD1 is congested. I guess I'm staying home, I don't like infecting other people's babies.

Crazy Friday here.
I overslept, which I have no notion of how/when I turned my alarm off. Oops. MH woke me up so I still made it on time this morning.
Work is crazy. Trying to play catch-up from my croup-cation earlier this week, attend enough of the research day for my department to get the right amount of face time but still getting work done, and also trying to sneak out for lunch at DS's school (they're celebrating international day today, as they don't do Halloween). Good thing was my boss saw first thing at the research thing, so that miiight be sufficient.
Which is good because with all this running around I'm not going to get enough pumping in, and I'm already behind for the week. Boooooo.
Morning! DH comes home tonight! He can handle all the bedtimes. This week wasn't as bad as I was expecting so that's good. We need to run to the mall this morning to return a couple things and then this evening is zooboo.

DD just got a runny icky nose and is not ok with me walking 3 feet away from her this morning. SIL and her kids are coming to town for the weekend (staying at MIL's) so we'll probably be over there visiting them a lot this weekend.

Yay Friday!
All your trick or treating sounds fun. I'm hoping to get some cleaning done today. Our friends invited us over to watch the World Series, but we both have babies with early bedtimes. Maybe we can go over for a drink and to watch the Nationsl Anthem together
My big decision right now is coffee at home it go out for it.

Yay Friday!!
The other day, as soon as we got in bed and turned the light out, DH rolled over to me and said "I have some bad news". My heart sank. Did he get fired? Wreck the car? Mother died? No, I'll just be solo adulting again shortly for 5 nights this time. Yay.
In other news, we're doing a Halloween event at DH's work this afternoon. Fingers crossed that DS takes a good nap beforehand.

Incision? Did I miss a post?
I posted on Facebook but not on here. DD had surgery on Wednesday on her skull to remove something Called Sinus Pericranii.

Are muscle relaxers safe while BF? I've had a crick in my neck for weeks that comes and goes. I'm thinking one Soma would do the trick to just release whatever is tight in there. But obviously won't if it's not safe for W.

R went to bed early last night and so was up at 545 with ants in his pants. Thankfully he took a nap from 7-8 (me too). He was up every 2 hrs last night. I think it might have been belly because of the peanuts. I read that along with hives, they can have stomach cramps. He's in a good mood regardless this morning. (Afternoon). He went to daycare and I had to tell her the possible allergy. He would be the only one in her group so I know it would be a headache for her but she's so understanding. I'm feeling better despite having a major sinus headache all night and it's still hanging on. Dh thinks we had 2 back to back colds.

So, tonight is a friend's baby shower. It's in my hometown 2 hours away. I had planned on going with the kid. My H can't come up with us because of work. As you know, our schedule had been off all week, last weekend was complete bullshit, and he's been little mister tantrum ever since. I didn't think this through until today, but the shower is from 6-9. His normal bedtime is 730/8, so I'd have to get back in the car on the way home by then so he could sleep. I hate to miss her shower, and I hate to bail the day of, but 4 hours of car time with a kid who's been a crankypants all week is not my idea of a good time.. is it worth it to attend half of her shower? Ugh. In stuck between making the mom decision and making the friend decision. And no, staying overnight is not an option.. I'm sick of sleeping elsewhere. Wwyd?

I wouldn't. That's a lot of driving with a grumpy baby who can't even have someone keep him entertained in the back seat if you're driving by yourself.
Ask your friend if you could come to her on a day where you can come earlier and hang longer. Take her out to lunch and go shopping or something. It'll make it worth the drive if you stay longer and you'll actually get to visit with her, since showers are so busy anyhow!

Had a nice visit with my dad. We went out to Swiss Chalet for lunch. Both DD and DS were well behaved. DS tried some chicken breast and loved it. He also ate my cheesy potato filling from the perogies I ordered.
Unfortunately nap times got screwed up. DD is currently rejecting sleep. I hear her talking to herself/her bears in her room so I'm keeping her there for now.
Friend messaged me that she'd like to come over tonight. Which is cool but now I can't keep putting off cleaning my kitchen and bathroom. Hope DS takes a decent afternoon nap

Would he sleep on the way there? If so I'd go because he will probably catch a second wind and then sleep on the way home.
