I have to wake F up in about 10 mins to bring him to work with me today. This kills me since he was up every hour and a half last night but decided to power snooze 4:30- present and who knows how long he'd go if I could let him. Butthead. I got up at 6 assuming he'd be up to feed before we left. I'm just going to wait until the last possible minute and put him in his car seat.
I'm up with DS1. He woke up and declared he wanted Paw Patrol. Except I've never shown him that show. I don't even know what network it's on! I found it and he's happily watching.
Benjamin has PT again today. His flat spot looks so much better. She's taking measurements today to see if it's improved. Last week he screamed the whole time. She asked if there was a better time where he wasn't so fussy. I LOLed in her face. Nope. Nope nope.

Hi party people! Happy Halloween! A is snoozing on me while I sip my coffee (carefully!) and answer work emails on my phone. My sister is coming later to watch him while I go to the office for a bit, then picking up my grocery order on my way home. Then we will get A dressed up and go out and about to see the grandparents.

melody330 we're watching Paw Patrol here too! Lol my phone now automatically capitalizes it.
There's a Halloween party at playgroup today and I'm really hoping we make it. I tweaked my lower back yesterday and was really hurting last night. Feeling better this morning, took some Advil and have heat on it.
The blueberries in my overnight oats have gone bad, I'm annoyed since it was a brand new package.

Happy Halloween!
S had a fussy night last, he kept thrashing around and kicking his legs. I have basically been awake since 3 am. Now I am At work and doing my first pumping session.
I have dinner all prepped and ready to go in my IP bowl so I can just pop it in the IP and cook it before ToTing. L wants to hit like every house in the neighborhood. We will see how long I last before I leave H and him to go to bed.

Slight hangover here. I drank too much wine but it was nice. I'm still dragging myself to body pump at 9:30. DD has her preschool party after lunch and we're going to ToT with our neighbor friends. And groceries need to be purchased today, badly. Life always revolves around feeding people these days.
G has had a few bad nights in a row an finally had a good night last night. Only woke up once to eat! We didn't get to that until we sleep trained DD at like 8 months or so. He is so different from his big sister.
Also, I finally joined a gym and went to work out at 6 this morning. So early, but it was nice. I'll be dying tomorrow.

Taking M to the pedi bc I'm worried about his tummy time progress...or lack there of and possible torticollis. Uggh. At least I'll get to have lunch at my favorite cafe.

What makes you worried about torticollis? B has it, so feel free to ask anything! He's currently in PT.

Well, playgroup was a nightmare. During circle time DS1 started running around and was told by the coordinator to stop. I told him to stop and he hits me. He thinks it's funny. I take away Paw Patrol and a cupcake he asked for. He doesn't stop so we leave. I'm juggling L, the diaper bag, the costumes, and a tray of baked goodies.
In the hallway he's hitting and kicking me as I put on his boots. We do time out and he's jumping off the bench laughing and still hitting and kicking me when I bring him back to continue time out. And then I broke down in tears. In the hallway at playgroup. I don't know if we'll go back, I'm so embarrassed and clearly DS1 can't handle himself.
When we got home he hit me more and then he hit L so I locked him in his room because I've had it.
I don't even know what to do anymore. I've read the Supernanny book and all the online articles. I try every trick I have up my sleeve. I feel like it's all my fault that he's a raging asshole. It's so hard to get it all together to get us out of the house and it just ends up as a disaster where he's endangering himself, L, and other kids.
Sorry for the rant. I feel so alone and I spoke to DH briefly but he was "in the break room" so couldn't really talk. Hope he enjoys his break.
Tl;dr my toddler's a raging asshole and I feel like a shitty parent.
littlesthobo I think our big kids are the same age? Almost 3?
The biggest help has been that H and I are doing the same strategies at home.
More than once I've picked up all our shit and carried a screaming toddler and wailing baby back to the car. Don't be embarrassed, we all do it. And it really sucks sometimes.

M is pretty big right? L is in the 80s for weight and 95 for height and 100 for head and he struggles a lot with tummy time. I've read that babies with bigger heads have a harder/slower time with it because of how heavy their head is on their neck. L does great with it on my chest at an incline but hates it on the floor.

Thanks melody330. DS1 will turn 3 in April. DH and I are really good at staying on the same page and when he's home, he's right there with me. He's just as stumped as I am with DS1's behaviour at the moment.
Thanks katelou. And oh no, I really hope it's not pinworms!

It started when i noticed he was turning his head only to the right. I brought it up at his 2 month appointment but the pedi said she didnt think there was an issue after she moved his head all around. A month later i went to an LC and she mentioned he had it in the left side. She gave me exercises to do, but now I'm actually noticing his head tilting more that his neck is more controlled.
How was your son's diagnosed? I feel my pedi is kind of on the more relaxed side of things.
littlesthobo I've been there too carrying a screaming toddler and baby out of somewhere. Don't make that the reason you don't go back! Also my DD1 will be 3 the end of November and her behavior is terrible. By the end of most days I am spent and have had it with her. My DS never acted even close to how bad she is. I think it's just her personality, she needs a lot of attention. She has no disregard for anyone/thing, no matter how many time-outs she gets or other punishments it just doesn't help. We've tried everything. I've just come to accept it and deal the best way I can and try to stay as calm as possible. I know that doesn't help but I just wanted to let you know you're not alone and that it has nothing to do with your parenting! DD1's pediatrician recommended the book "Raising your Spirited Child." I haven't gotten around to ordering it but it got good reviews. Hopefully it's just a stage for you though and he's just giving you a rough time because of the baby!
Upper respiratory infection - that's how HK is spending her first Halloween
This was a text to my boss "I'll be back in tomorrow at least through the RLT meeting. Josh is staying home tomorrow with her. She has a upper respiratory infection. If the fever doesn't go away by tomorrow night I'll have to take her back to the doctor on Wed. Also on Wed. I have to go to court for my mom's will stuff. Can life slow down for one minute?"
Hugs to everyone having a rough Monday! Happy Halloween

Found out one of the classes I teach was recently infested with pinworms. Great....
Today went well except my principal told me I should thank the VP for "really bending over backwards for [me]" he probably said bending over backwards like 4 times in our 2 minute discussion in the hallway.
Wtf?
Also I will be pumping while eating my lunch in the washroom using batteries since there's no outlets apparently.
I'm thinking W is teething. :/ thank goodness he's finally napping.
My mom has to get a biopsy done. She has been having a ton of pain and come to find out her ute lining is 8cm. Also with some blood in her urine. So she is waiting for her referral to come through.

littlesthobo, big hugs, and I can totally relate. I can remember several occasions where I had to remove my screaming child from somewhere. But don't let that stop you from going back - if these people are people you want to associate with they won't care and will completely understand as they've probably been in your shoes.
Oh no katelou. I hope it's just an itchy butt and nothing more.
Ray, I"m so so annoyed for you with all that you've had to deal with. So unfair.

Pretty sure a play date we went to last week resulted in everyone catching a bug. Both kids, H, and I are sick so basically no one is sleeping, and everyone is cranky. It's almost 3, and finally both boys are asleep. I think it's the first time today where someone isn't crying or I'm not yelling. I feel again like I'm failing at parenting 2 kids. I'm not too optimistic about trick or treating tonight. But I need to get cute pictures so it has to work out!!
Thanks Ray and cavewmn - prayers going out for your mom.
Well she screamed in my face for an hour but after a nap she's doing OK. Hope everything passes quickly here and in the katelou and rungirlrun household. I'm actually pretty bummed that her first Halloween she is sickly. My nips are toast from all the comfort nursing

Thanks ladies for all the hugs.
glaze I'm sorry you're in the same situation with your DD. It is nice to know I'm not alone. I'll look into that book!
jenn83 I'm sorry HK is sick! I hope she feels better soon. It's stressful juggling work and a sick child.
Ray if your VP had listened in the first place, he wouldn't have had to "bend over backwards"! I'm glad you stood your ground. Sorry you have to pump in the washroom.
cavewmn I'm sorry about your mom. Sending thoughts & prayers.
rungirlrun thanks. I've made some good friends through this group, one mom gave me a big hug and I can't thank her enough. I might just take a break for a bit. Hugs for you too, hopefully you get our trick or treating!
DH is out with DS1 trick or treating, and I'm sitting in the sun porch feeding L and handing out candy. I have a pumpkin beer I might crack into! It's been a day.
tikoberry99 my pedi is really lax about things too. She noticed it at his 2 month well visit. She does pretty extensive checks of their head, neck, joints & hips until they are almost one. She caught it super early.
He also has a flat spot that was pretty noticeable. After 4 weeks of PT once per day it's a lot better!

Pedi gave me referral for pt even though she doesn't think he had full on tort since his head tilted once during our visit, but did point out his flat spot....he had it at 1 month, but not 2 months, now it's back wtf!
I'm so exhausted from a shitty night's sleep last night, and a crazy day today, that I can barely keep my eyes open. I'm so sorry to all who are struggling. Lord knows our household has had some rough patches lately. Hugs and commiseration to all. Toddlers are assholes sometimes. Babies too.
