Happy Halloween! I feel like we have been celebrating for a week already. Secretly ready to be done. But also, this means holidays are right around the corner. What?!? How did the year fly by??

R had a rough morning at daycare, I probably should have waited to bring him but his naps are so unpredictable. I think because he was tired it was worse, he passed out eating as soon as he got home. Maybe tomorrow I'll try a different tactic. I feel so bad having the kid who cries the whole time. I mean I'm sure she's dealt with it all before but it's stressing me out. He's so clingy it's hard to deal with some days. Maybe it's just a Monday for him too.

Happy Halloween!
kellybenelly83, I think it's cool that you get to bring him for such short amounts of time to help him acclimate. I'm sure a crying, clingy baby is nothing new to her. I do hope he gets used to it soon for everyone's sake.
We don't have much on our agenda today, and I'm looking forward to that!

DD is the only kid at her daycare today. The other 3 are out sick! DD has had a cough for a few days, I hope nothing more is coming her way.
Also, she spit up all over her jacket on the way into daycare, and her DCP is so sweet, she said she will just throw it in with her family's wash today so it will be clean and she can wear it when they take a walk this afternoon.

Happy Halloween! I'm taking a half day today and am already counting down to 1pm. I need to gather some last minute accessories for our family photos, hopefully get my nails done, and pick up the kids a little early so we can get started on the Halloween festivities. I don't "Pinterest mom" much, but I made banana nutella mummies for breakfast and we're having hot dog mummies for dinner. Holidays excite me!

No shame, I've made hotdog mummies for H and myself way before kid. Happy half day!

My daycare gal does that all the time. DD rarely comes home in her extra outfit because she's always doing laundry and just washes and puts her back in her original clothes. It's kind of nice but I certainly don't expect it. I feel like most people would throw it in a plastic sack and send it home.
Lazy day here today. I did get some babyproofing done yesterday like I wanted, but none of the big stuff (baby gate, cupboard latches... you know, my H's tasks..). I'm still working on reorganizing the kitchen but I need to find some sort of system for the "baby friendly cupboard" so stuff is still all over the kitchen table. I think we will take a drive into town this week and pick up some bins or shelves or something.
Good morning! I'm getting some cleaning done while DD is at daycare, and DS is napping.
I should be napping too since I was up at 4 with lots of sinus pressure. And DD woke up for a bit then. Ugh.
We're headed to FIL and SMIL's neighbourhood for trick or treating later this afternoon. I'm wondering if I should tape "ZOOKEEPER" onto my jacket, just to do the very least at dressing up. I didn't really think of doing a costume for myself but since DD is a leopard and DS is a panda, it would work.

You should totally do zookeeper! I took myb3 trick or treating by myself yesterday and for my "costume" i threw a cowboy hat on and wore a name tag that said "kid wrangler"

L has been letting go and standing on her own for a few seconds at a time the past few days. Yesterday, DH said she stood up from sitting without holding on to anything. I can't handle it.

45 minutes to get him down for a nap. 5 minutes later, our neighbor/landlord is in our yard with a lawn mower (H *JUST* cut the grass this weekend. Seriously?!) and his stupid dog is barking right outside X's window.
This man needs a hobby that does not involve my yard or being outside my windows. I feel trapped in my own house.

This whole practicing milestones at naptime/bedtime can go to hell. Go the fuck to sleep, kid! (And don't complain that you're tired when you wake up either... I wonder why!!)

rivers and roads It's great really, we're working g our way up to things slowly. This is the first full week, but still small chunks. Once he's done 2 weeks like this we will try naps. Then we add lunch And afternoons. He came home with a peanut free goody bag for Halloween...it's all mine.

swim love tit for the zookeeper idea, not early mornings and sinus pressure. I'd considered making a shirt that said "Stop bugging me!" since my three are bugs but it has not made it to the top of my priority list.
We're gonna have a low-key day since my DDs have a cold. DD1 was coughing through the night (but at least slept in till 9:45) and DD2 was not happy about being congested on top of teething. Then DS got woken up by his sister's screaming and decided it was party time at 4 am so no one had a great night last night.

Speaking of three year olds, I asked DD1 if she had to use the potty after breakfast because I was intending to nurse and hopefully let the whiny, tired babies have a good nap. She said she didn't need to. Guess who has to go 15 min into their nap and can't do it without mom? Yep. I moved the babies but still made her do everything herself. Mommy won't always be there...
I think I'm going to go to the grocery store so the babies will hopefully nap in the car/stroller. And for my sanity.
These little guys are learning so fast these days. DS is now crawling, sitting up on his own, gets up on his knees and is close to pulling up. DD2 is army crawling at a good clip, can scale the step out of our sunken living room to escape, and pulled up this morning. She then used this new skill to try and climb into the dishwasher while I was emptying it. It is definitely busier in this house.

H went to the library with MIL, S is napping and I'm watching Hocus Pocus! We are going to ToT around the neighborhood tonight and then to a friend's house afterwards.

My mil who does daycare for us does this shit all the time, throws it in a sack and sends it home. I hate it! At least rinse it out or something. I have thought about buying a bottle of shout for her to at least spray it. The last thing I wanna do when I pick my kids up is find poopy clothes in the diaper bag.

I started a deep clean of the basement while r is napping. Naturally I get stung by a wasp....? Like really??? We always have a few in the house this time of year and I guess this one was hanging on by a thread and I picked something up next to it and for stung on my middle finger. Great. On the knuckle too so I can't bend the finger now. That's what I get for doing housework. No good deed goes unpunished

So... eating crow right now. DS farted around for 40 min in his crib before his nap (when I posted). The nap is now running 2+ hours. I just don't know what to do with myself.

I am happy that now he seems to have 2 decent naps a day, averaging 75-90 minutes. It's so nice because I can actually get stuff done in that time, I don't have to panic because I only have 30 minutes and a million things anymore. The downside is there are only 2 naps....lol

How did you get back to naps?! I'm fine with 2 naps a day. That's about 1.75 more naps than we currently have.
We've had a busy morning. Pancakes for breakfast, pumpkin carving, laundry, dishes, toys evvvvverywhere, reading books...thankfully it's nap time. But DS doesn't appear to be falling asleep today. Argh. He's lying in bed quietly, for now, but I wish he'd fall asleep for a bit.
I think we are skipping gymnastics today and we'll do trick or treating around 5 I'm sure. We just go to our moms, my sister, H's grandparents, and maybe run by our daycare. Also probably next door. My neighbors like to dress up like Santa and Mrs. Claus and play Xmas music and pass out candy canes. But I've heard they are doing the Easter bunny this year and passing out eggs filled with candy. So that'll be fun.
Planning to just put a pizza in for supper and we won't be passing out candy at our house. I'm a Scrooge this year, just want to get our stuff done and get the kids bathed and in bed close to our normal time since tomorrow is a work day.
