cabbagecabbage I have not! I'm glad he enjoyed it I tried L in the bumbo and he seemed to like it, but his head control is not quite there yet. I have a bouncy chair that is more upright so he can see everything, he likes that! It's fun that the babies are starting to play with toys.
I had to go to the dentist for a cleaning today and I saw a different hygienist and my mouth hurts soooo much. I had to reschedule my last appointment because of HFM, but never again will I see anyone else. My usual lady is so much gentler on my poor gums. And I need to have 3 fillings replaced next week. DNW.

Cutie pie cabbagecabbage! A has been chilling in his a couple of times! He loves being able to watch me cook--hopefully he will be a little chef like his mama.
He woke up bright eyes and bushy tailed like usual at 3:30. He nursed and *sort of* slept until 5:30 but there was a lot of babbling and screeching in between.
DH stayed with Irene this morning so I could drop DD1 off at preschool without a car seat screamer. Instead she screamed for 20 minutes straight while he tried to give her a bottle. I am really starting to feel that daycare next week is going to be a nightmare. I don't even know what to do about this bottle refusal situation. I know everyone says daycare ladies are magic but I'm so worried she's just going to cry and scream for 4 hours straight while we do our half days next week, and then 9 hours straight the following week. I want to go back to work and sort of need to financially but this just feels like a huge mistake right now.

Hugs ellebelle. The only thing you can do is take it day by day. It might be a rough start, but she will learn. Babies are constantly growing and learning new things, and she will learn how to take a bottle. It's good you're doing half days to ease her into it.
ellebelle. Big hugs. Irene will figure it out, or reverse cycle. Either way she will be alright!
Have you let the teachers know she's been refusing bottles and it's causing you a lot of anxiety? I found it very helpful to be open with DS1's teachers.
The baby has taken 2, 20 min naps today, and it took at least 20 minutes to get him to sleep both times. He just passed out in my arms and I'd love to put him down somewhere, but I also want him to actually sleep. Days like this are hard. The toddler is actually napping though, so that's an improvement over yesterday.
Anybody else have a baby that becomes a struggling, fighting mess when getting sleepy? I'm jealous of babies that peacefully drift off. The swing was magical for about a week, but yesterday and today it's not working again.
I love our IKEA high chair, and I want to try ds in it with the blow up insert, but it's still DD's chair and I'm sure she won't want him in it. I need to get a booster for her and try to get her excited about having something new.

I have told them. They just kind of shrug their shoulders. Sigh.SaveSave

comicSans I have a no nap baby over here too. I took him for a walk hoping he would pass out, which he did on the last five minutes of our walk. I got him in the house asleep and then the dog lost it over some squirrels and woke him up. Later he fell asleep on me and still couldn't stay out more than ten minutes! At least he's in good spirits.
Also, I ordered the IKEA high chair! I've heard so many good things.

Sending you so many (((hugs))) I hope the daycare ladies are magic for her and she does really well. I am sorry you are dealing with this.

L had to be on a schedule and still has to be on one. If he ever missed his bedtime he would just become inconsolable. Now that he is a lot older he still has to be in bed by 8 or he starts going crazy and is just wild. We always have to stick to a strict schedule with him and not waiver at all.

I got to complain directly to the VP of operations for the company about the pumping room here and that it's unacceptable that there is only one. Hopefully he takes my concerns seriously.
I forgot my badge to get in the new building today and found out they don't have any spare badges for people who forget theirs. I have to either stay on my floor all day, get an escort to go places, or borrow someone's badge. I am using my friends badge today because he doesn't need it. I am ghosting around this place as a man...

Bed time actually is usually really good, and is consistent because we do it the same time as dd's bedtime. He seems to love going to bed most nights and is chill as soon as we go to his room and goes down pretty easy. It's the naps that are a struggle - he just goes ridged, arches away from me, claws at me, and complains a lot. It takes a lot of walking and white noise and patience before he'll eventually relax.
comicSans yep getting this baby to nap is awful now. He was up all last night so you'd think he'd be tired but nope. I've spent probably 5 times as long trying to get him to nap today than he actually slept. I've pretty much just accepted that I'm going to have another crappy napper who can go for days napping for zero minutes. Yippee.
Big hugs ellebelle. I hope daycare works its magic.
Not to get too political, but... I'm so ready for the election to be over. Omg. My formerly sane, fairly moderate parents have become cable news junkies who are super negative and believe every conspiracy theory out there. I used to be able to have thoughtful political discussions with them and now I'm not sure I will ever be able to again. I can't even believe some of the stuff that is coming out of my mom's mouth. I'm scared they will not go back to normal and will become angry tinfoil hat old people.
My parents are 'never Hillary'people. My dad is super conservative and believes every conspiracy out there. I am also ready for this election to be over.

My kid loves her sit me up chair and I propped her up in ds' oversized chair the other day. I think she's going to love the jumparoo when she's long enough. She'll play on her play mat for 40 mins.
Tomorrow is my bday and I'm getting a message!!! So excited!!!

This is my ILs. All both of H's parents post on FB are memes attacking democrats/Hillary, it's ridiculous. My MIL a couple weeks ago posted one showing Michelle Obama at a Jay-Z concert with one of the girls, and it said something like "she's appalled with what Trump said but takes her daughter to a concert where lyrics use the same words." You know, because listening to a song with some inappropriate lyrics and talking about grabbing women by their privates is TOTALLY the same thing. And my H's crazy SIL made a comment about how if you are okay with women getting late term abortions, you should be okay with suicide bombers. Seriously.
So earlier today H needed to run over to my grandparents to help them with something and left Sam. I had put him down in his swing asleep and was on the couch working when all of a sudden I looked up and saw this...
His little face makes me laugh every time I look at this picture haha. Hey ma, nice try!

I have pretty much given up... S just wants to suck his thimb. I was really trying to push the pacifier but lately he has been spitting out the paci and immediately putting his thumb in his mouth instead. He does this at daycare too.

I just went grocery shopping by myself after the kids were both asleep. It was a nice treat. I got my iud placed yesterday and I'm feeling a little off, mostly crampy. Hoping that doesn't last too long.

I was only crampy the first day or so, but spotted for a couple weeks.

I had some cramping and spotting the first few days, and I had MAJOR crazypants mood swings for about a week. Then I leveled off and I am feeling much more like myself again.

I feel way better today. Not much cramping and no spotting. I was expecting more spotting. Does it come and go?
