Symptoms: Same as usual, tiring out easily, groin pain, now I'm starting to get really uncomfortable if I eat too much or my food doesn't settle well.
Appointments: None this week, this is the last week without an OB appointment. Next week's appointment will be interesting - strep test, cervical check (ouch) and breast pump prescription
To Do's: Purchase nursing tanks/bras. Prep the house for friends coming over this weekend and then my mom will be staying with us next week. Someone send energy my way, I'll need it.
Rants/Raves/Randoms: I dyed some cheesecloths last night to potentially use as a swaddle blanket for baby's announcement picture. I'm starting to realize now that it might just look messy since she'll have a bracelet on every limb and I probably won't know WTF I'm doing trying to wrap her in that thing when she's only a day old. Anyone else making plans for a picture to share on social media after birth?
QOTW- The splurge would definitely have been a meal service/personal chef. Our diets have been terrible for the past 7 months.
Symptoms: I am feeling pretty great. The two symptoms that get on my nerves are the foot swelling (I'm up 1.5 shoe sizes and had to buy new shoes AGAIN this past weekend) and the heartburn after meals.
Appointments: Got one this week - hopefully kiddo has gone head-down!
To Do's: We did a ton of work on the nursery this weekend but there is still some stuff to shop for. I'm trying to make comprehensive shopping lists to tackle with a vengeance when the Black Friday sales roll around
Rants/Raves/Randoms: I've only got 10 solo days of work left before I start training my replacement and I feel like I have SO MUCH to do during that time. It's overwhelming. Also, election anxiety.
QOTW- If you were really going to splurge on one thing during pregnancy, what would it be? I'm not a big splurger, but a couple weeks ago before my baby shower I splurged on a fancy pedicure where they massage your feet with hot stones and stuff. It was awesome and such a relief for my fat marshmallow feet.

Weeks/Size of Baby: 38w2d; Spaghetti Squash
Symptoms: heartburn, peeing constantly, aches
Appointments: "39 week" appointment on Thur
To Do's: make freezer meals, pack hospital bag, figure out breast pump
Rants/Raves/Randoms: I can't believe I'm a week away from having a baby! It doesn't seem like this pregnancy went fast or slow. I feel like it took the time it should and I really tried to enjoy the present.
QOTW- If you were really going to splurge on one thing during pregnancy, what would it be? Expensive maternity jeans, I only have 1 pair but wore them all the time. Deep clean for the house before baby.
Symptoms: Lots of hip pain, increasing number of BH every day, a few painful contractions thrown in for grins and giggles. Always sleepy. Back pain on the regular. Pulled muscles in both sides of my groin trying to put shoes on so walking sucks lol
To Do's: Oh my. All the things. Don't need to worry about adding to the diaper stash because my shower over the weekend had a pretty successful diaper raffle participation.
RRR: Not a lot to say. Started having painful contractions at dinner last night but thankfully, they stopped and haven't been back. But oh my goodness, I felt so sick afterward. It was awful. Still felt sick this morning but I'm doing way better.
QOTW: A mamaroo. Or some furniture to match the crib.
Weeks/size: 31w 6d. Measured 4lb3oz at an u/s last week.
Symptoms: Sore hip and back when I over do it (note to self: don't over do it). Otherwise feeling pretty good still.
Appointments: Everything looked good at last weeks growth scan and belly check this afternoon. Back again in 2weeks time.
To do: Still so much. Trying not to panic...
RRR: DS now understands that his little brother will arrive after Christmas. Our daily question has changed from "is he ready to come out yet?" to "is it Christmas yet?". He wants to buy his baby brother a present
Appointments: Belly check next Wed. I should probably slow my roll with all the eating so I don't get a lecture on rapid weight gain...
To Do's: - Break out and prep the cloth diaper stash. - Take the bassinet out of the basement and assemble. - Be better about listening to my hypnobabies tracks. - Give more thought to exactly what our plans are for DD during labor...
Rants/Raves/Randoms:
QOTW- If you were really going to splurge on one thing during pregnancy, what would it be? Realistically, weekly prenatal massages. Unrealistically, a renovation of our 3rd floor so DD wouldn't have to share her room with DS when he arrives.
Just realized I posted this and then never responded to it. I hate when I do that!
Weeks/Size of Baby: 38+2; spaghetti squash or pumpkin or, well, a baby
Symptoms: lots and lots of BH (sometimes painful), cramping, peeing nonstop, mood swings
Appointments: checkup and cervical check on Friday. Very curious to see if anything has changed this week!
To Do's: just need to finish up my work checklist, and wrap the Christmas gifts I bought for DS and baby, but everything else is pretty much ready to go!
Rants/Raves/Randoms: the end of this pregnancy has been so different from my last one. These contractions are really something. I know it doesn't mean anything until I'm actually in labor but at this point I would be surprised if I made it until my due date.
QOTW- If you were really going to splurge on one thing during pregnancy, what would it be? Definitely would pamper myself more. DH rubs my feet for me almost every night but he's far from a pro lol. I'd love a biweekly massage/spa treatment, including pedicure because god damn if my toenails don't grow ridiculously fast!
Symptoms: I think I'm developing pregnancy-induced carpal tunnel syndrome. Going to discuss with my doctor today. Otherwise, just sore feet, contractions and peeing all. the. time.
Appointments: Today! 35 week appointment and GBS test.
To Do's: Finishing getting the nursery in order before my in-laws arrive on Friday. Eep!
Rants/Raves/Randoms: Not much here. Just getting bigger and bigger. I split the crotch in a pair of my maternity jeans today, so there's that.
QOTW- If you were really going to splurge on one thing during pregnancy, what would it be? At this point, I would say weekly massages or something else like that. Our actual splurge is our housekeeper, and it's the best money I've ever spent.
