I have a bit of a hangover this morning. Damn wine gets me every time. Not sure what it is but everything Kelly and Michael have said this morning sounds way dirtier than usual.

DS & I went grocery shopping this morning. There was an old man with a white beard in front of us a little. He called him Santa. Luckily, his speech is not clear as day so even if the guy heard him, he probably wouldn't understand anyway. It was funny.

DH is having a hard time getting LO to nap. I'm secretly glad because he says I make her nap issues seem much worse than they really are. Now he can experience it himself!
Co-worker brought in doughnuts this morning from Tim Horton's. They are so yummy. It is taking way too much mental strength to not eat ALL the doughnuts.
Mmm donuts sound delicious. I may have to to get some soon

We were grocery shopping and walked by a group of 3 or 4 people, roughly college aged. The one guy was holding up a bag of chips. LO points and loudly says, "Daddy!" The people chuckled. I quickly and loudly said, "Yes, daddy's chips, but he has chips at home so we don't need to buy any." I was so embarrassed it sounded like LO was calling the guy daddy when it is just his speech issues that he couldn't say chips (he does the same when we walk by a display of MH's choice of soda, juice, etc).

A little kid did that to me dad, I guess he had quite the list and my dad told the kid he was going to get everything on his list. The kids parents weren't thrilled after that encounter lol

I took DD to the library to get us out of the house. She is doing laps around the checkout desk and the librarian gave her a ribbon. She's loving it. I'm not bothered by her using it to get energy out.
My mom is currently comparing how many times my ils have seen ds. Sounds like a guilt trip is coming up.
Oh that's just wrong. My in-laws see DD way more MIL doesn't work tho so she's our sitter but hell even my mom hasn't pulled that one. She's accused me of keeping my kid from her but never compared it lol

Omg that's sad. Tell her to come visit and she can see him.

I'm pissed at my grandmother. She and my grandfather (when he was alive) didn't take care of their car like they should have, and ever since she gave it to us when she had to stop driving we've sunk more money into that thing than we ever sunk into my 1996 Geo Prism. MH drives the car and loves it, but really if I had known that we would be shelling out this much money, I would've said fuck it, told my grandmother to just sell it, and kept my Prism. But at least this way I have the benefit of driving the Scion, which I've always loved. But yeah, they should've maintained this car better, and not let it sit for long periods at a time, and they could've avoided passing on half of these issues, including the Buick currently sitting at a body shop as we speak, waiting to have the rust on the frame under the windshield removed so we can then replace the damned windshield and get it inspected.

They have been like that all week. I think it must be a combo of V day and 50SoG interviews....
I'm planning on eating any Valentines Day candy that LO got today after she goes to bed tonight. Because, really, I don't see any reason why one year olds need valentines with candy. (Let's be honest, I don't need it either, but...sacrifice. The things we do for our children!)

DS did this last weekend at Panera regarding an older Indian gentleman with a long white beard and red turban. DS is 3 and speaks very clearly. "Look, there's Santa! He's Santa!!". I'm hoping he didn't hear. I almost died but "Santa" was standing behind DH so DH had no idea why I was dying of embarrassment.
Watching the Seseme Street segment "Crumby Pictures: When Cookie Met Sally" is pretty funny. DD doesn't get the reference.
I like that SS has stuff in there for adults too.
The episode with max the magician (Will Arnet) and his theme is oddly similar to the final countdown like GOB on arrested devolpment. Makes me laugh each time even though I'm pretty tired of that episode.

This was the first episode I watched all week. No FSOG mentioned but Tue Vday talk was big.
I'm supposed to be working on our taxes, but instead I'm screwing around online. Distractions and kid-free time, yo.
Oh man. I am procrastinating so badly on this. I've told DH all week that I'd get it done. I just need to print out our student loan info and then scan everything to our accountant but I just don't want to do it!

I procrastinated all week just to make the appointment to have someone else do it for us. I finally made the appointment today and feel like I've accomplished so much.
I should have done so much today, but I am in a funk because of some news I received about a guy I know who's dying of cancer, things are moving way faster than I expected, and he's not expected to make it to his 55th birthday in March. Why is it always the good, honest, reliable people that go way to early? I do not even know him that well, it affects me more than I thought.
