Tomorrow Cameron turns one!!
I am busy today baking two dozen cupcakes and will bake his smash cake tonight. Tomorrow morning I will ice everything which I hope won't be a disaster. So much to get done! Cutting up veggies also on my list. We are ordering pizza so at least the main food part is covered. Being over here makes party planning difficult but I feel like we are all set.
I am expecting about 50 people, half of which will be kids. Most of our expat family will be coming so it will be fun. My maid will also come and bring her kids so I'm very happy about that. I know they will have a great time. I'm excited to celebrate my little boy with everyone.

Yay for all the birthday parties! I still can't believe we are all about to have 1 year olds.
Fall weather has finally hit here and it was in the 30s this morning. Burr! So, H & I have started taking steps toward putting the addition on our house. A construction contractor has given us his quote and today we will speak to someone about the HVAC, plumbing, etc. We won't know for sure until today, but so far it looks like it will be within the budget we set for ourselves which means it'll be a go. I'm trying not to get too excited, but this would mean that I get a pantry, y'all. A pantry! It's the little things in life.
I kind of got into politics last night with FIL. He voted 3rd party, but he was all like maybe some good things will come out of this. And I unbit my tongue and said that is easy for you to say, being an older white male. It did not go well. DH had my back though.
Margs seems to be feeling a little better today. She barely ate anything yesterday and was super crank (food fail on Monday), but she is less crank and eating again. Yay! I am so glad I have the day off tomorrow.

Beautiful weather here today. Hooray!!!! I've got the slider open and can hear the pool fountains. Makes me so happy. We're having a lego building marathon. The baby is not helpful lol.
I was supposed to go out to lunch with my H today but he's swamped at work. Thinking I might just go by myself anyway!

Took Emma to a new ENT yesterday and FINALLY we have someone looking at her issues as potentially allergy. We have her on a robust allergy medicine program to see what happens. If it isn't successful we will scope again and allergy test but held off for right now. Apparently my husband telling him that the "afrin" spray that the other ENT did prior to scoping was the aha moment that it is less likely to be adenoids and more likely allergies. So we started her last night and she will be on four different meds and then we will slowly back them out until we get down to the minimum needed. We will allergy test as well if this is successful to see what she is testing positive.
We are already seeing an improvement with her breathing though not a significant improvement in her sleeping last night. She still woke up every two hours but it wasn't from breathing and definitely was hungry. We know we have a long established behavioral pattern here as well. But all good signs I think. We are so happy someone is actually going down this road as we have been suspecting allergies since last winter and kept getting brushed off that she is too young.
Outside of that, still reeling from the election and trying to figure how it will impact personally, professional, next year's initiatives, etc. There were a lot of very depressed people at the office.
evenkeeled, I am glad the new ENT offered hope! What kind of meds is she taking? I think we are going to start doing regular doses of zyrtec before bed for Margs.

Dd has a cold. When she woke up this morning she was so hoarse and raspy I decided to stay home. Once she's up and going she sounds pretty good and she's nursing wel. I probably could have gone to work. she's finally napping about an hour in so far (on me but I'll take it)
