I am sitting and pumping while reading a book. This book is so good I actually want to call in sick to read it all day. However, I am a good little worker bee so I am at work.
Our facilities management people sent out an email this morning basically outlawing holiday cheer. I liked because it's going to be a huge blow for most of the employees morale. I don't decorate my cube so it doesn't affect me but at the old building people would go all out and have contests.

We will probably jus hang out today, I might go work out. Then tonight we are going to a basketball game. It's not until 7 so I may be out of my mind since DD's bedtime is 730. She will be fine as long as I can get her to take a nap.

Not feeling great today, cancelled my plans with a friend and we are all still in our jammies. Hopefully it's just a cold. I put L in his bouncy chair and Paw Patrol on for DS1 and snoozed in the recliner for half an hour this morning. Doing the minimum!
Well, I woke up an hour late and couldn't eat breakfast, and there was nothing to take for lunch so I'm currently eating a bell pepper and candy corn from the dish in the staff room.
sarcaztic10 I also want to know what book you're reading!
I have a Friday confession: sometimes I'm jealous of the Paw Patrol pups. They get to hang out with their friends all the time, don't have to worry about anyone else's bathroom needs, don't have to stop what they're doing to feed someone else, seem to have a good work/life balance.
sarcaztic10 what's the book? Did your workplace give a reason why they were banning decor? It seems so odd.
I'm boring. I'm still getting over sickness so I was asleep before 8 last night. I'm taking the kids to the library today.
In exciting news, I'm almost done with Christmas shopping. We do a small Christmas and I still need presents for my H but that's it.
Its Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas from her Throne of Glass series... I love this series and her other series A Court of Thorns and Roses. they are books that I can read over and over and get lost in the story lines each time.
sarcaztic10, how is the pumping situation at work going?
hugs Ray, I can't imagine going back to work with a non-sleeping baby. I hope you can get some rest this weekend.
My baby is asleep by herself (in the car seat again, but it's a first step, right???) and I'm sitting on the couch drinking tea and watching 1980s TV on Netflix.
I have always been really big on morning news-y programs (CBS morning news, GMA, and the local ones) but I just can't with the presidential election stuff. I need a media hiatus.
sarcaztic10 , how is the pumping situation at work going?
Its going as well as it can. The facilities management person just ran me down in the lobby and asked if I could lock the door to the mothers room after I use it because she can never seem to get up there when it is unoccupied. My response was that is because it is always occupied by someone... *death stare*
She is not picking up what I am laying down. They have basically said that until it becomes so inconvenient (7+ people using the room) that there will be only one and no spare.
cabbagecabbage I'm getting very close to being done with Christmas shopping (at least for my family) and am pretty excited about it! The malls around here are a zoo on any regular day, as soon as Thanksgiving hits you can't even get near them without getting stuck in awful traffic. DNW to deal with that with a baby.
sarcaztic10 7+ people sharing one room?! How the hell do you all even plan that out so that you can pump? That seems like a huge mess.

I still have all of my Christmas shopping to do... We are getting some really big (size wise) items for L and I have no idea how they are going to get delivered and taken upstairs to the attic without him knowing.
This may be the year he finds out Santa doesn't exit.

katelou, I'm a morning news person too and I haven't watched since Tuesday morning. It feels like a lifetime ago. I'm obviously still grieving.
Work today! My mom is bringing A for lunch in just a little bit. I'm so excited to see him. No plans for later, just heading home and getting snuggled up with A and maybe watch a movie?

This morning was a big of a cluster. With our entire street being torn up and construction everywhere, they had to move a crane so I could leave my block. My plan to hit the store, then the playground, then the library was great until it started raining on us 15 minutes before the library opened. We couldn't even easily go home so we got wet. But then everything got much better and DD got her much needed outing.
I'm going to let a 4yo make a meatloaf with me later. I may be crazy but she likes meatloaf so I'm going to roll with it!
Mal sat in the highchair with a cup and spoon of his own at lunch. He is totally into being with the family. I swear he is changing almost daily and growing so fast. I'll be interested to see how big he is next week at the doctor.
Ray I hope you can catch up on sleep (and food!) this weekend. That's rough.
I'm currently eating a bowl of ice cream with brownies while the 2 girls nap. It's been a hard week. We're closing on our house today which makes me sad but it's all for the best. Now I can start Christmas shopping next week since I was waiting till it was over with to do so.

I don't know if it's FTM Syndrome on my part, but my friend who has a 2 month old just posted a video on FB of her 3yo daughter pushing said 2 month old in a kiddie swing at the park. His neck is so wobbly and he's all over the place. I just wanna take him out and squeeze him tight.

Big kid is sleeping, and I'm nursing E now. Trying to decide if I should use the 20 minutes of nap time E will give me to shower or to eat lunch/watch tv. I'm starving but also am smelly from a workout this morning. Before having kids, I could never understand how taking care of basic needs (shower/eat/pee) could be so hard. Now I know,

I'm going to say no on swinging at 2 months. Double no with having a 3 yr old involved. 3 yr olds are dangerous!
I just escaped my house as soon as H got home. I look like a hot mess, but I have wawa coffee and my feet are soaking in the tub for a pedicure. Now I'm going to ignore the person doing my feet and lose myself with some Jamie & Claire Fraser!

This! L is 3.5 months and I'm still hesitant to put him in the bumbo supervised because his neck is still developing. Dude won't be going in a swing for a long time.

Seriously, it is. DH came home over an hour ago with dinner. I served it up, sat down, and L started losing it. He barely napped today so we decided to give him a quick bath and put him to bed and eat after. I'm still putting him to bed and I'm starving. I can hear DS1 losing it downstairs now.
I forgot to change B's diaper before bed. He's asleep nursing. H said he changed it about an hour ago....so I'm not waking B up and getting him totally undressed.

Agreed. I consider myself easy breezy second mom and my sturdy baby has excellent neck control and, still, there is no way he's in a baby swing yet.
I just finished the second outlander book and I'm kicking myself that I didn't take out the third while I was at the library today. The ending was so good I just want to start the next one RIGHT MEOW! Lol
