I must have the stomach flu because last night was awful. I feel only slightly better today. I found out that the liquid Kaopectate in not recommended for use while BFing after I had taken 2 doses. H is running to the store to pick up some Kaopectate pills (they are ok) and a few other things. Staying dairy, egg, and corn free is tough right now. I really hope no one else catches this.

I hope you feel better soon, sarcaztic10! Stomach flu is the worst
Took L to the clinic this morning, he has an eye infection. Officially everyone in our house is/has been sick over the past two weeks.
The doctor thought L was six months old (before she looked at his chart). Nope! 3.5! Just a giant baby. I had to break out the 9 month pyjamas yesterday.
My mom has my big kid for the night and we're going to watch a movie and have some wine tonight. This is as close to a date night as we get these days, so I'll take it.
We're just hanging out today and then going to a friend's house for dinner. Tomorrow we have lunch plans and a birthday party to go to. I start work on Monday so trying to get lots of baby cuddles this weekend.
We went to the mall to walk around (pretty brisk and windy today outside) and I tried one of the new Caribou holiday flavors: dark chocolate raspberry mocha. It gets my seal of approval! Now just chilling on the floor with A while he lazily tries to chew on his toy without holding it.

Today is a day where I don't like either child very much. The baby won't sleep day or night and DS1 is being a 3 year old.
I think E must be going through something to not be sleeping. Someone please tell me you had a rough period and have made it through to the other side. I need hope that he will soon sleep again. H and I are dying.

rungirlrun, we had a tough 3-4 weeks with A and then he'd resist going back to bed after 3:00am. Made for some very long, long days. He is starting to come around now and slowly waking later and later. I hope E comes around too!!

I just went nuts on Gap's website. They have 40% off everything and they have a gnome collection, and well, I love gnomes, soooo yeah. Thank heavens for that coupon code and Ebates.

Thank you for all the well wishes everyone!
I am feeling a lot better today. I have been able to keep some food down and I feel hungry without feeling nauseous.
We are still sticking close to home today although H will have to go out and get some diapers for daycare later today. Right now S is wrapped in the Moby and breathing directly up into my face.

Good news sarcaztic10! I'm staying in with the kids too. DD has an absolutely nasty chest cough and no other symptoms. I'm getting her to take kids musinex and hoping whatever crud is up in her flushes out.
I'm trying to get a head start on Thanksgiving. In addition to hosting my husband's grandparents, I'll be alone all day. He's working until 3pm thanksgiving day. So I just sautéed my veggies for stuffing and I'll freeze those. If it works, my piecemeal thanksgiving prep will be awesome. If it doesn't, I don't even want to think about it.

cabbagecabbage I hope your DD feels better soon! I am hosting my mom and brother for Thanksgiving this year. I should test out a dairy and egg free pumpkin pie first but I may just make cherry pie and give up on pumpkin this year. I hope your prep cuts down on time and stress the day of!

cabbagecabbage great idea with the early food prep! Let us know if the sautéed veggies work out. We're hosting Christmas for the first time this year and I've already started my baking. Luckily my family has offered to bring some desserts and apps, but I'm looking to pre-prep the main meal as much as possible since we will be away overnight on the 23rd and coming home the 24th in the evening (seeing ILs/friends). I hope your DD feels better!

Last night A fell asleep at 5:30 and good luck Chuck trying to keep him awake so he'd go to sleep later. So he was up for the day at 4:00. I made pancakes and bacon (and eggs for Mh). Picked up online grocery order and came back all by 8:00. Baked brownies for neighbor who helped MH start his car on Friday, too. Hoping I can keep my sticky fingers out of them! Warm brownie and ice cream sounds so good.

Ray Around here I see that all the time. It's a pain in the butt to take coats off and put them back on but for the safety of your child it's very worth it.
My parents took the older two to see Trolls and I'm just hanging with my sister and H watching the Packers suck it up.
Any advice about my DD1 having potty accidents every day? It's been going on for about 3 weeks and we make her sit on the potty every 1-2 hours and have even been giving her a m&m again every time she goes but still having issues. I'm at a loss and sick off pee everywhere. She was doing fine for the longest time.

glaze, I'd go back to naked time at home for a day or 2 and always have the potty close by. Most likely she will realize she's peeing earlier and can at least get most of the pee in the potty. Good luck. Potty training can be so rough.

Thank you! I hadn't thought of trying naked time again, will be doing that tomorrow. DS was so easy to potty train compared to her.

I'm dying over the soda ads. Seriously, how did previous generations survive to reproduce? And, more importantly, what are we happily doing now that will later seem this terrible to our horrified children later?
On one hand, cola will make him more popular but on the other hand, 7-up can be mixed with milk for a delicious cocktail. Ugh. It's so hard to decide!

I wonder that all the time!
And I recommend mixing cola with 7up... best of both worlds for baby!
