Hello there! My name is Stacia and I've got a 2.5 year old and a little boy born on December 22. My question is how big is your December baby?? My husband is concerned that ours is too big and we need to cut back on feedings(he's breastfed) We are in size three month clothes (some are too tight after washing) and he's in size two diapers... Does anyone else have a ginormous little baby??
Babies come in all shapes and sizes! My little guy is in 6 month clothing and size 2 diapers. He's 10 weeks today and 15lbs. Sounds like you have a healthy baby to me.
Hello. My babe was born on the 21st, is in 6 month clothing and size 2 diapers. He was 13.1 lbs during his 1 month checkup, so no, you're not alone. He's in the 97th percentile for height and weight and my pediatrician did not seem concerned about how big he was, so I'm not cutting back on feedings. Baby knows what baby needs, so he feeds on demand. If you're concerned, maybe you should ask your pediatrician what they think.
Every baby is different. But please don't cut back on feedings. You can't overfeed a breastfed baby, unless you are pumping and giving the baby bottles.
Is your pediatrician concerned? If not, you shouldn't be. Sounds like you have a growing baby, which is a good thing.

I'm with all previous posters. My baby was born the 28th and he is in size 3-6 month clothes and fitting in them very well after his 6 week growth spurt. I would never stop feeding him but then I don't force him to eat every three hours or anything like that either. I just feed him when he starts giving hungry signs. He has developed a pretty set schedule but, if one day he is hungry at 1 instead of 2, I'm not worried about it. I do have to be careful that he doesn't overeat because he will just keep going and then he fountain pukes all over me. But yea. My little boy is hefty and healthy.

My LO will be nine weeks old tomorrow. We just had her two month check up yesterday and she was 14 1/2 pounds, which is in the 100th percentile for weight. The doctor was not worried at all, he said she was growing well, and did not suggest changing anything about her feeding habits. Babies come in all shapes and sizes. At this point I would just be thankful that he is gaining.

Yep, big boy here too. He moved to 6mo clothes and size 2 diapers at 6 weeks old. He is 10 weeks old today and weighed 14-2 at his 2 month appt (1 week ago already).
Ditto what everyone has said about babies come in different shapes and sizes! And as long as your Dr isn't concerned, all is probably well!
I enjoy hearing what everyone's babies weigh and measure at certain ages, just because. My little guy was born 12/6 and was 6lb, 7 oz, 21" long. At his 2 month check up (really was 9 weeks 3 days), he weighed 12lbs, 7oz (55th percentile) and measure 24 1/4" (85th percentile). My pediatrician was happy with how he has grown, even though I was surprised he practically doubled his birth weight already!! I knew he was so long, going to be a tall guy, just like Daddy! He is still in 3 month clothes although his sleepers are a little short so I just washed a pack on Gerber's 3-6 month sleep n plays to try on. He wears size 1 diapers but probably could move up to size 2 soon.

Welcome! Max was born 12/22 and is around 12 lbs. We'll be switching to size 2 diapers when I buy diapers next and I need to rotate 3-6 month clothes into the dresser in the next week or 2 also.
My kid was 15lbs 2 oz at his 2 month, so if 14 and change is 100th percentile then my kid must be off the charts. He's ebf. All my kids have been big. You know what I say to that?
My milkshake brings all the boys to the yaaard...that's right, it's better than yours....I'd teach you, but I'd have to chaaaarge....
I'm cracking myself up which indicates to me it's been a very long week.
Lol you'd be surprised how often I sing that song these days. I'm glad I'm not the only one
