TTMA babies and music. This kid could not give a flying shit if I turn music on, or sing, or dance, or clap. He has no interest whatsoever. Will that come later or are some babies just not into music?
How do you guys incorporate music into their lives?
DS doesn't care if I have music on either. Me dancing is meh but he likes when I hold him and dance. Singing I feel like he was more into when he was younger. We have a couple guitars and those are by far the most fascinating to him, I think because he can make them make noise.
Family photos are finished. I think they turned out well. I opted to just get the digital download + cd, so I'd have access to them right away, and make my own prints for Christmas cards without it costing an arm and a leg.
H also wanted to stock up on frozen hot chocolate ice cream. He bought 4 containers!!! We already had 2 in our freezer lol. I guess I won't need to buy ice cream for a while

I seriously think L has been a music lover since she was in the womb. She would kick me like crazy if loud music was playing and stop when it stopped. DH is a musician and we are both music lovers, so there is often music playing in our house or cars. She is mesmerized by concert dvds and has started to shake her head back and forth when music is on. SS was humming a tune yesterday morning and I swear she mimicked him and tried to babble it back.
I think you just keep exposing it to him in different forms, but I would imagine some babies aren't into just like some adults aren't into it. If you guys allow screen time, maybe try putting on some clips from concerts or music videos and see how he reacts to that. Get some baby instruments and help him play with them to hear the different sounds.
Ok I have to share hamster stories. These thankfully aren't spoiler worthy. 1. I had a hamster when I was like 13-14 and he kept escaping. I pretty much taped the doors shut but he would still figure out ways to get out. One night I noticed he was gone and I searched but never did find him. For a couple months we would find little turds around the house and hear scratching in the wall. 2. Freshman year in college I snuck a hamster. Very poor decision making. He eventually died before the end of the year. 3. One of my teammates had a hamster that was peeing blood and had a mass on her stomach. She took said hamster to the vet who said it was probably cancer. Teammate loved that damn hamster so much she paid 2k for the vet to perform surgery to remove the mass. She said she couldn't live with herself if she didn't try. The hamster survived the surgery but died about a month later.
We had 2 pet mice when I was in middle school, however we didn't have the best cage for them. One day they escaped and my mom's dog killed/ate them. That is the end of my rodent having.

I used to play the music loud as I could when I was pregnant so that when my children were born it wouldn't bother them. Now we drive listening to loud music and my boys dance and LO laughs.
{Stories here} First the turtles. The first one isn't terrible: my dog ate my turtle. I feel bad, but we really didn't think the dog could get to the turtle.
The second one is more terrible. We had a three-legged turtle named Lucky. My sister let him loose in the backyard "to get some exercise." He got lost in the tall grass. My dad decided to multitask and look for Lucky while he mowed the lawn. I don't think I need to say what happened.
My dad was involved in both of my fish stories too. The first one, we went on vacation during the winter and my dad knocked the temperature in the house down to the mid-50s while we were gone. Too cold for fish, apparently.
And then we got a new tank of fish. My dad thought that the aquarium water looked cloudy, so he put in some of the chemicals he used on our hot tub. Poor fish.

These horrid pet stories have me llaaaaauugghing, and thanking all good things that we're better human parents than some of us as fur baby parents
I'm going to a babywearing meet up tomorrow morning. I'm going to check out a woven wrap and I'm stupidly excited! Tomorrow, we're supposed to be going downtown for a parade. It's going to be really cold, so we'll see how it goes.
Ugh so busy today. Absolutely fried. No energy to tell but wanted to say hiiiii all before I head to bed before work. We had a million pets. None died horribly. But I had a goat and when it had babies I named the boy Bucky (creative, yes). He went away. My mom said it was because he had friends far away and he didn't like the cold. I found packages in the freezer labeled "Bucky". I guess she forgot I could read RIP Bucky.
Hi hi! We made it to our destination yesterday, can't remember if I posted last night or not. The kids did very well in the car.
Last night in the hotel was hellllllllll. All 4 of us in the bed meant nobody got much sleep. DD wouldn't let me put her in the pack n play, which is understandable. New place and she didn't have a lot of time to get acclimated.
Today we did some running around, things H wanted to do. Then we did the waterpark and got pizza at the restaurant here. Both kids are so beat. DD crashed hard and is IN her pack n play and I hope it'll last most if not all of the night. I'm not expecting all of it though. And hopefully DS will not have so many ants in his pants tonight. He's not asleep yet but lying in bed with us watching tv.
And I couldn't read all the pet stories, because sadness. Even though I have absolute no interest in hamsters. I did once upon and time and my parents did not allow. Probably a good thing!

omg! all the horrid pet stories. I never had an pets ever. not even a fish. so i have no clue what pet ownership is all about but now i am scared. haha.
guys! I just got back Gemmas Xmas mini session. 110 photos, i have to pick 5 to keep. seriously, this is going to be tough! but she looks so so cute, and she hated the dress (which makes her look so sad, but also cute.)
I just went and made a huge grocery trip. I'm so mad though the guy bagging had no clue. He put my veggie straws in with the frozen pizza, 75 cans (not literally) in one bag and it ripped, frozen/fridge stuff in with the dry stuff. He needs a bagging class.
