How was your week? It was ok. Still kinda binge eating at night.
What worked and what didn't? It's been too cold to run outside and LO hasn't been cooperative w indoor shred video. I did however get signed up at a local gym and gone 2x in the AM before DH leaves for work. It feels good but I've lost some sleep, not sure if I can maintain it. Oh and signed up for a race in March. Very nervous about race but it's motivating to have it to look forward to.
Specific goal for the coming week? Gym at least 3x and healthier snacking at night. I know Im not ready to stop the night snacks entirely. (Esp w red velvet oreos out right now). Oh and start Stroller Strides now that I ordered a joovy caddy for my car seat.
GTKNY: what is something you've always wanted to do but have been too afraid to try? Well I haven't ALWAYS wanted to, but since I was KU I've wanted to checkout churches to see if any of them felt comfortable for DH and I. For some reason I'm nervous to go to services on Sunday. It's a bummer bc I think it might be a good place to meet other families.

How was your week? I actually worked out! One day of running, one day of biking, and one day for resistance training. Something is better than nothing!
What worked and what didn't? The weather cooperated last weekend and I was able to get in a run. I love winter running so temperatures shouldn't be a deterrent, but I have been using the cold as an excuse this winter. It's definitely too cold to run with LO but I could run when DH is home to watch the kids. I also set up my trainer in the basement so now I can ride during LO's naptime.
Specific goal for the coming week? DH will be out of town M-F next week so I'm hoping to get in a run (or two) this weekend and work on resistance training and biking during the week. Specific goal will be one run and two biking sessions.

How was your week? Pretty good! I worked out 6 days - ran one (in a blizzard!), two Zumba classes, two days of lifting and cardio and one kickboxing class. I had my 6 week checkup this week and was below my pre-pregnancy weight! I was kind of shocked b/c I didn't lose all my weight with DD1 for almost a year after having her.
What worked and what didn't? I didn't lift as much as I wanted. My mom offered to watch DD2 two nights so I could go to Zumba, which I've been missing big time. But that meant I didn't have time to lift those days.
Specific goal for the coming week? I definitely want to get at least more more day of lifting in, if not two. But we have MORE SNOW (12-18 inches) coming so I'll have to miss at least one day this week.
GTKNY: what is something you've always wanted to do but have been too afraid to try? Skydiving. I almost went in college but the weather wasn't good so they gave us a voucher for another day. I never ended up going back.

How was your week? I worked out every day this week, so it was good!
What worked and what didn't? I still need to improve with my diet. I like my snacks and chocolate. Have been cooking healthier for DH and myself.
Specific goal for the coming week? Continue to work out and buy healthier foods.
GTKNY: what is something you've always wanted to do but have been too afraid to try? Scuba diving. I think it would be fun, but not sure if I would ever try it!

How was your week? It was really good! I went to the Crossfit gym twice, worked out on my own at home once, and even went to Krav Maga two times.
What worked and what didn't? Going to the KM class on Wednesday morning worked a lot better than I'd really thought. The school is about a 30 minute drive from home, and LO slept the whole way there and back, and during the class she only fussed a couple of times so she didn't disrupt anything. They play really loud music during class, maybe she liked it. What didn't work - what would have been a moderate weight deadlift before I was pregnant felt really really heavy today.
Specific goal for the coming week? To try to keep the same schedule as this week. Also, continue to avoid cookies. I didn't have any this week.
GTKNY: what is something you've always wanted to do but have been too afraid to try? Write something and try to get it published.

How was your week? Bad enough that I've been avoiding this thread. 1 workout, 1 day with hours of walking around babywearing. My excuse is sick kids. Eating wasn't terrible but not great.
What worked and what didn't? I need to set day and time to work out rather than waiting and seeing if i can fit it in because then I get too tired. Meal planning is working well. I need to figure out what I can do for healthy evening snacks.
Specific goal for the coming week? Take breakfast and lunch to work. Workout on the weekend days for sure. Get up early to workout next week, Tuesday I think, to see if it'll fit into my routine then. Only have alcoholic beverages Fri/Sat, I've been having a beer a night and I don't need the extra calories.
GTKNY: what is something you've always wanted to do but have been too afraid to try? Polar plunge
I finally made it to the gym after H got home from work yesterday. I was a nervous mess...my bluetooth headphones were dead when I got there, I wore all black in case my boobs leaked and was afraid my pants were going to fall down because they're new and bigger than my old workout clothes. H got home later than expected and it was about 2 hours since I last pumped so I was semi full and wooooo I learned I cannot run in normal sports bras, gotta go back to the high impact bra I wore 1st tri. How do you ladies run while BFing?! Boobs hurt/bounce all over?
How was your week? Ugh I missed last week's post, can we talk about last week? Last week I went to the gym 3 times, this week 0..
What worked and what didn't? LO got sick and I didn't want to leave her with anyone or take her outside.. I planned on doing some home work outs but it didn't happen as planned. I've also been snacking a lot, being stuck inside makes me snacky.
Specific goal for the coming week? Go to the gym! 3 days? But I'll even take 1.
GTKNY: what is something you've always wanted to do but have been too afraid to try? A flip. Just from standing on the ground. Or really anything a gymnast can do.

nbateman5 I pump up until the second before I leave for the gym or go outside for a run. So far it hasn't hurt at all but I am small chested and even though we're EBF, my supply isn't crazy.

@nbateman I also pump or feed right until I workout. I have a bit of a drive to the gym b/c it's near my work, so I will pump on the way there. But yeah, I totally remember this from DD1 - not loving the feeling of BFing boobs and working out. I do remember it got a lot better as she got older and my supply regulated a bit.
What worked and what didn't? I've just been cleared after my 6 week appt so I got to go to the gym twice this week, and two long walks. The first time I ran 10 min/elliptical 20 min. The second time I ran 15 min/elliptical 15 min. Next time I'd like to run 15 and do weights- will focus on big muscle groups to maximize my time & (hopefully) fat burn.
Specific goal for the coming week? The above with 3 gym visits. Maybe one will be just cardio with a longer run.
GTKNY: what is something you've always wanted to do but have been too afraid to try? Too broad so I will answer it fitness-wise: I'd love to enter a fitness model contest. That's way down the road from where we're at today. Oooooh! And then after the competition is over I want to go lounge in Vegas for like a week.
