I thought it might be nice to do a pre-holiday check in with everyone! What's everyone planning on doing for the holidays? And super exciting things, anything you're nervous about with LO's? What are the kiddos up to these days? Ideas for Christmas gifts yet?

We go to a family friend's for Tgiving. It's always fun. Not nervous for anything really, just looking forward to the holidays. It's been a rough six months TTC, and I'm making an appointment with a RE in January. I'm feeling 40, almost 41. We are good and looking forward to seeing our DD's face light up this holiday season. We are giving her: Mr. Potato Head, Magna tiles, a dress up kit, and some Finding Dory stuff:)

Hi guys! I miss you! We're hosting my parents and sisters for thanksgiving. For Christmas we're staying home and have an open ended invite out to all of our families, "if you want to see us, you're more than welcome to stop by". I'm not nervous about anything with the kids, I'm actually really excited. I can't stop shopping for Calliope... so she's getting ALL the things. Hockey skates and a helmet, a mini piano, a real life broom, some crafty things... I guess I don't have as much as I thought... I'm going to get her a woody and buzz because that's her answer when we ask what she wants Santa to bring her. And E isn't getting much. I'm going "shopping" in the bin of toys that were C's that I've put away. Lucky second kid.

For Thanksgiving we're headed to the Bay Area where DH's niece is hosting for the first time. Usually one of his sisters hosts, so it'll the same crew. No Christmas plans yet, we usually also spend it with DH family but I'll be 35 weeks pregnant and not sure I'll feel like doing 4 hours in the car in one day.
DS is very into sports right now. Daddy watches a lot of soccer and DS wakes up almost every day requesting "soccer soccer soccer!" He loves kicking and throwing a ball around. Have not moved to toddler bed or started potty training yet, don't really want to screw up good routines before the baby comes.
So far for Christmas he's getting a wooden car carrier with cars that I found at Once Upon a Child, a shape sorter and... some other Melissa & Doug toy I got during the Amazon sale. My mom got him a sub to the toddler Highlights magazine and is planning on getting him some more things. We try to keep gifts minimal since we don't have a lot of room.

It's always so nice to come here and "see" some familiar faces.
I'm so excited for the holidays. We've done some Thanksgiving celebrations already and will be hosting Thanksgiving at our house.
DD is so much fun. I think this christmas is going to be one of my favorites. The girl loves some football, the chickens and chicks(MY baby chicken), her brother, babies (real and dolls), gymnastics and playing all the time.
DS is a happy baby that is very entertained by watching his sister. He finally rolled over and we are working on sitting up assisted. I stayed home with them both yesterday because they were sick and it was one of those perfect days. I love them.
And that is one reason we feel pretty done with kids. Well, at least biological children. I'm pretty positive I'm done being pregnant. We will probably wait until the spring but H is pretty ready to get a V. We are talking about adoption or fostering in the future, but right now we are very happy with our little family.
I'm so not ready but doing okay for Christmas. I'm more freaking out because after Christmas is baby. Max is acknowledging the baby idea but I'm not sure how its all going to go down when he does arrive. I'm looking forwards to presents as Max is very into them, ripping paper and finding goodies woo hoo. and we have got him anything cars, spiderman and wheels. His big present is a balance bike that will grow with him as he has out grown his trike which he loves.
Hi guys! We are going to my family side for Thanksgiving. I'm excited. I can't wait to decorate for Christmas since we were moving two days before Christmas last year and I didn't have anything out. We are following the something to wear, read, want, need.

Hi everyone! I periodically check in here hoping for a thread, I'm so happy to see one!
We had busy but good Thanskgiving! For Christmas we are contemplating hosting DH's family on Christmas Eve, then going to my parents for Christmas afternoon. I have a love-hate relationship with hosting.
LO is obviously much more excited and into Christmas this year. It's so fun to see how excited he is and we're not even in December yet! We are giving him Peppa Pig and Daniel Tiger toys. We also are giving him those Melissa and Doug cutting food sets. And because I can't help myself and I want to claim my iPad back, a tablet. I'm lucky I got such crazy good deals on all of the above!!
LO is in a toddler bed, but no potty training yet. I think he's closer to being ready so I may start at the beginning of he year.
We road tripped over the holiday and spent Thanksgiving at Great Wolf Lodge which DS LOVED! We are all sick with colds now, but I guess par for the course with two in daycare.
DS is getting a 12 volt F150 for Christmas. DH thinks it is not Christmas unless you get something with a motor :-). Also some monster truck Hot Wheels stuff.
DD is getting a couple baby dolls, a ride on toy so she gets her own "car", and one of those little activity tables since she is just starting to pull up.
I am sure they will both be a few more things since DH loves to buy gifts. We need to purge toys before Christmas gets here.
We did Tgiving mostly just with my family with a very brief stop in at ILs. Tgiving was good. We have 5 separate Christmas celebrations to attend, but luckily we managed to get them all reasonably spread out this year. There was a little bit of drama involved in that, but SIL handled it like a pro, and she and I got our way.
I have to stop shopping for DS. So far he has a few books (some I forgot to give him for his bday) and paint with water book, bathtub paint, and an ornament to go in his stocking. I also got (secondhand actually) a Thomas the Train sweatshirt and a cool car ramp that will be his big toy. There are a couple other things that I am not remembering right now, but I now DH wants me to stop shopping. It is just so much fun now that he is older. I want to buy ALL the Paw Patrol, but I have requested a couple other people to get him that stuff. So looking forward to Christmas this year!
In other news, DS is back to being pretty much completely daytime potty trained. He will have the occasional accident if we forget to prompt him or if he is really into whatever he is doing at the time, but for the most part he is great. We are not approaching night training at all though at this time. He still nurses a few times a day and we still cosleep, which has its pros and cons, but I do love all my snuggles. His speech has absolutely taken off, and we have no more speech delay! It is wonderful. We still do speech therapy, but it is pretty much just playtime. All his words make him seem like a different person from who he was 5-6 months ago.
Glad to "see" everybody! I hang out over on the cloth diaper board now, and I am hoping for a new BMB sometime soon. No luck on our first 2 months TTC, and we are taking this month off because of a wedding in the fall. Hopefully the next time will be the charm.
Hi Ladies, we had a low key Thanksgiving with my mom and family. MIL was sick so we only had to do one celebration which made the day so much more relaxing! Not having to run around and watch the clock at every stop was nice. I doubt we will get that lucky for Christmas.
I really need to stop shopping for DS it is just too fun. So far he is getting a train table, a couple mega blocks play sets, car play set, a game and I still have to fill his stocking. The kid doesn't need anymore toys!
I wrote a reply but it disappeared? Anyways- my family and the ILs live in town so we thankfully do not have to travel for the holidays but we do try to see both sets of family's so it gets busy!
I haven't shopped yet for Christmas, I did get a few presents for St. Nicks- paw patrol, a sled and new Christmas Jammies
For the "big" Christmas gift we're getting E a small trampoline with a bar so he can work on his jumping- he loved the one at gymnastics. Other things we have in his list are puzzles and construction set duplos!
Hope everyone is doing well- glad to see a little action over here again!
