jennykat Hi, I go here now. Can you please add me? EDD: May 21 but I'm having triplets so more likely the end of March if I can make it that long. Team blue identical triplets from a single embryo transfer 😱 Appointments: 12/1 with the MFM Anything to share? We will likely be moving in the next few weeks and we aren't really packed. I haven't really been able to do much to help. I can't wait until my parents move down here. We had a rough weekend and really could've used some help. QOTW: well, last week it was still in the 90's (gross) but this weeks it has cooled down and it's raining. It's nice to finally have it feel like Fall

jennykat, thanks for the check in! fightersince83, I feel for you on the move, I hope you get some help soon!
AFM: 21 weeks and doing well here. Our a/s went great last week and babies look really good. I finally have some energy and feel like eating (except for protein, thats still a no go) the hip/sciatic pain is for real through! I'm worried about how that is going to progress!
QOTD: Its finally cooler here at night and lovely during the day so I can wear long sleeves and booties. Of course Thanksgiving is going to be warm, like always around 79!

EDD: Due date is May 18th, but they won't let me go past the 4th. Twins, with at least one boy in there. Weeks: 14w4d Appts: Tomorrow is an appt with my OB. I don't know if they'll have me do anything special. Growth scan is the 30th with MFM. Share: We still haven't told my ILs. They're finding out Thanksgiving morning, and will hopefully be shocked and happy. They have a ton going on, so I'm worried they won't be as happy as they should be. Then at Thanksgiving dinner, my entire Italian family will find out and likely burst my eardrums from screaming.
QOTW: Saturday it was almost 70. Sunday and today it's in the high 30s, low 40s and really windy. Boots are out, and I need to unpack the rest of my winter clothes.

jennykat I would've done the same thing. My dentist's office would never suggest X-rays during pregnancy even after 1st tri. We waited until after DD was born for X-rays and the filling I needed repaired. That was pretty unprofessional of them to be so pushy with you about it. Especially if you aren't due yet. It seems like they're more interested in getting paid than your health/baby's health. After IF and being PGAL no way I would've been okay with it.

fightersince83, Glad you're doing well and hope you have lots of hands on deck to help with the move! dancerspose, Yay for tri 3! dukegirlsc, I feel you on the proteins though I am good with most except for chicken (I guess I can eat it, but I don't want to!) jennykat, Stupid dentist office! I can never figure out why we as they patients don't have more voice especially when things are not yet due... river, Welcome to tri 2! ., Enjoy your Thanksgiving break! turquoisequeen, Our baby girl has only begun to move a bit where I can feel her. Looking forward (I think) to being where you are in the weeks to come!
AFM: 18w4d and feeling good! Anatomy scan last week was a success though baby girl would only move her head when they were on the opposite side and by the time they moved to her she had moved her head back in the same spot-stinker:). Our next appointment is our monthly visit with the OB next Thursday.
QOTW: Low 50s which feels much cooler after we've been in the 60s-70s. Enjoying nice long walks though as I am off this week for Thanksgiving:).

Thank you for that! Sometimes I worry that I'm making stupid or irrational decisions. God, IF brain is the worst.
I agree as well. I had my dentist appointment last week and they only mentioned the X-rays as something they would do after little guy arrives. I would've refused as well, why risk it?

turquoisequeen I'm dreading the GD test. I don't know how I'm going to drink that garbage without vomiting. Just thinking about it right now is making me wanna hurl. GL! Also, yeah I can't believe I'm already here either.
Can somebody tell me about the glucose test? It's like a fast and then a sugary-as-hell drink, right?
My MFM actually wrote me a script for a glucometer and test strips and said I can test at home for five days - a fasting and then 1hr post breakfast and dinner. If any of those numbers is wonky, then we can do the drink.
Oh, I think I might rather do that if it's offered to me. jennykat yes, the regular test is a 1-hour test so you fast then chug a syrupy drink and they run your level after an hour. I had to re-do that test and do a 3 hour test. So I had to go back fasting drink the syrup drink and wait there 3 hours still fasting and I couldn't leave their sight. Then they tested me again after the 3 hours. I know I'm going to end up having to do the 3 hour again and that just seems cruel to do to a pregnant woman.

fightersince83 I had to do the 3 hr last time too but passed it with flying colors after failing the 1 hr (which is apparently common). My OB told me it was fine to eat bfast before the 1 hr and even suggested toast... someone later pointed out that has a high glycemic level so I will not be doing toast this time. Maybe a handful of almonds if I'm hungry.
You cannot eat before the 3 hr and its twice the sugar in the drink.
Augh, how long a fast? I feel like I'm constantly grazing, so this sounds lame.
I was told nothing to eat or drink starting at midnight the night before. I'm scheduling my test for first thing in the morning since I turn into a grumpy beeotch without food.

Yeah I passed the 3-hour last time too but it sucked and if there's an alternative I'd rather do that.
