I thought I saw a thread like this but I can't find it. What are you all getting for your Feb baby? I have all kinds of ideas for my 2.5 year old and all I can think of for DD2 is pacifiers.
DS is getting a stacking toy, some blocks (because I got them for $1, he's not ready for them yet) and a ball, a car (not ride on) and some board books from the grandparents

We got him some bath toys, a comfy chair, a few books, a ball, a firetruck, a little dog on wheels and a string and a chunky puzzle. I also got a set of used megablocks we'll clean and wrap up because he doesn't know the difference. :]
He's not ready for a lot of it, but they were on sale and he has more than enough toys at his current level. He'll be ready for them within the year!

The babies are getting peek n' Peep Eggs, a grape cutter, Elemenosqueeze blocks, Sqwish toy, Manhatten Toy's put n' peek birdhouse, and Lamaze's my first aquarium. Plus books, Scout and Violet from Santa (this was DD1's first Santa gift too), and a catch me kitty from DD1.
S will be getting her pbk anywhere chair, and that's as far as I've gotten with Christmas ideas. Now that H's birthday is out of the way it's full steam ahead on Christmas.

Julian is getting a pbk anywhere chair, a set of large dinosaurs or farm animals, and books. He has all of his sister's toys to play with, plus his birthday in Feb.
Talk to me about these pbk anywhere chairs. Like, why does my baby need her own chair? How much use do they really get?
I guess I think they're cute, but I'm not sure why they seem to be sooooooo popular. Am I a bad parent for expecting my kid to just sit on the couch
My husband asked the same thing last night. My only answer was "it's a little chair! So cute!" And I guess I like the idea that he can sit on that without falling off and bumping his head getting on/off the couch before he's big enough.
I started the conversation by telling him I ordered a lovesac. He didn't know what it was so I told him to look it up. Once he thought I had paid $910 for a glorified bean bag chair, he agreed that my "moderately priced little chair!" Was a great gift.

Little kids love having their own things that are the same as the grown ups: little kitchens, vaccums, etc. I think this is an extension of that. H loves her chair, when she first got it she like to sit in it and eat her snacks. Are they necessary? No. but they are so cute. She also likes to flip it over and use it as a hideout sometimes.

My H also thinks I'm crazy for wanting to get R is own chair. But then he sat in a tiny chair at my dad's one night and he loved it, so adorable. I think if I can get one cheap enough, he'll go for it.

Possibly we are going overboard for Christmas. We are giving DD: the above-mentioned puppy armchair an activity cube Mega Blocks (also $19.99 at our grocery store) a purple dump truck a fisher-price ipad (she has the "smart phone" and loves it) a musical toy a baby's first christmas ornament a couple outfits a few books plus a stocking that I will put socks, cheerios and probably some little toys in
