Calvin Anthony was born 11/20 at 2:30PM at 8lb 12oz, 19.75 inches.
Last Wednesday I went in for my weekly ultrasound and visit. The ultrasound showed baby was almost 9 pounds and his belly circumference was 4cm larger than his head. The Peri was a little concerned but said she would see me next week.
Thursday morning they called back and said they wanted to induce me on Sunday at 39 weeks due to his kidney issue and belly size. I agreed because I really wanted to try and have a vaginal birth.
We checked in Sunday morning and I was already at 4cm. They started the pit and I walked the halls for a few hours. We decided to break my water at 11:30 to get this moving. I was open to going med-free but those contractions were no joke. I was begging and crying for relief within the hour.
Getting the epi was absolutely awful. I was probably in transition and my body was trying to push while I had to sit still. I got a little relief, rested for a few minutes and pushed out my giant baby after 5 contractions.
Big brother stopped by for a visit this morning and is absolutely smitten.
