aggiebug Yeah I usually change before the feeding but both babies need another diaper change by the end of feeding. Every single time.
Do they fuss when they have a dirty diaper? If not I would try leaving it and see how they do waiting to have it changed at the next feeding. I know it seems wrong but sleep is worth it and this poop doesn't cause diaper rash issues generally.

I have a headache already. I think it's from not sleeping well last night. I'm also really irritated with my body. I had 2 days of minimal brown spotting. One day I wore thin, light days pads and then the next I went with liners. But the 2nd night I had a random bleeding spell so back to pads...and back to barely spotting. Wtf? Pick something. I feel like I'm wasting pads, but I'm also not interested in ruining all my underwear. My belly is still gross, too, but I did manage to get into my size 12 jeans yesterday. I was a 14 at this point with Lillian so at least there's that. It's a long way down to size 6...or 4 if I want to go to pre-lillian sizes.
We are just hanging out at home today. DH is doing a 5k this evening and then we are having dinner at my mom's house.
DH goes back to work tomorrow. I'm sad, but I have a bunch of things planned this week and my ILs are coming down on Thursday afternoon. I'm a bit nervous about being alone with them all day, but Lilah will hang out in the swing happily if I need to do stuff and Lillian will probably nap for a couple of hours in the afternoon. We are getting a RnP on Wednesday so that'll help as we move around the house and the backyard.
aggiebug Yes they both cry badly at the first sign of a wet diaper. There are times we didn't even realize it was a wet diaper because they start the crying before the yellow line turns blue (on the pampers diapers) - now we know to look for it and feel (not just look for the blue line) but they literally cry the second they pee even before the diaper is fully wet. And Alec pees again when he's changed so it's always two in a row. We've tried waiting mid diaper change to let him go again but it never works, he waits until the diaper is back on lol.
danib Let us know how it goes - I am curious if it's possible to NOT pay for it later. I'm testing this out too.
We had company earlier - my two brothers (and one of my brothers sons - 9yo) came over to help H move a daybed upstairs. Adeline had just finished eating and it was busy/loud enough that she wouldn't go for a nap anywhere in the house. Eventually I got her to take a quick 20 min snooze before it was feeding time again.
Yet right now she is being an absolute angel - she woke at 4:30 for a diaper change and I went ahead and fed her since she was up and it was about her limit. She has been out cold on my chest since. This is normally when all hell breaks loose so I am REALLY feeling very lucky right now, esp given the commotion from earlier and that missed nap.
I took everyone's advice again tonight and we turned down visitors (MIL and SIL), shut the lights down, I gave her a little massage, and I have this teddy bear heartbeat/womb/white noise thing going.
Anyone watch the new Gilmore Girls, yet? Just finished it and whoa.
It's on my maternity entertainment list but have not seen it yet !
I was going to save it for when DH goes back to work, dole it out in small pieces to get me through the next 3 weeks, but I totally couldn't resist and watched it all already.

Lol this is me. I just did this with Empire. I was like "just one episode" and then finished all the current season episodes this morning. I need more shows for the next 9 weeks.

Me too. DH and I have rewatched Scrubs, 30 Rock, and Friends like 80 times. We need something new. And I need stuff for just me when I'm up with the baby or during Lillian naptime.
ClassyMrsA We have a few shows we are cycling through (some rewatches and some for the first time) - Who's the Boss, Fresh Off the Boat, How I Met Your Mother. Also I'm gonna start This Is Us.
I have a few episodes left of Mr Selfridge the last season, I LOVE that one.
I recorded a bunch of movies on IFC a couple days before DD arrived. I did the same thing before DS was born and it was awesome for those first several weeks, especially when it's the MOTN and I'd otherwise be falling asleep nursing.

Colin has been awake all day today. He took a couple quick naps but he's been wide awake since around noon. We tried to get him settled in for bedtime but after over an hour, he was still staring at us with wide eyes. I finally put him on my breast with some Fisher Price music and he cried himself to sleep. At least his hatred of my boobs was good for something 😒.

It was on my list but my Netflix was hacked and after 3 days of them not being able to fix it even after changing passwords, email addresses, etc. so no new GG for me! I had a plan to catch up on all the marvel netflix shows as well!

kleigh,I totally just got my hopes up that Who's the Boss was on Netflix, but I checked and I don't see it. Do you have the DVDs or are you watching it some other way?
ClassyMrsA, I watched the new Gilmore Girls; I was afraid that if I put it off, I would end up being spoiled on Facebook, although so far everyone I know seems to just be posting very vague reactions rather than anything concrete.
sweetmelissa5 We have some streaming thingy that H set up, so we can pull up basically any show/movie. I really am not tech savvy but it's some device.
I know we asked how you ladies were doing overnight, how are the dogs doing with the new babies?
Jazz (the dog) is much calmer than he was with Lillian. He tries to lick Lilah's feet all the time, but otherwise he's fine. The first couple of days he was definitely curious and excited by her presence. But he has been well behaved. He continues to exceed expectations. The cat doesn't seem to care.

Gracie is weird. She seems to be protective of Colin... she'll sit next to the PnP or crib if he's in it and will always follow him into whatever room he's in, but if I hold him up to her, she will get up and walk away. She has given him kisses a few times and will let us put him on her for a picture.
Dh looked at the Owlet and ended up with the Mimo. He's a tech guy and the reason why we just had to have the 4moms mamaroo. He liked that the mimo monitors breathing rhythm and temp versus the owlet monitors temp and heart rate. He felt that breathing would be a better indicator.

My MIL bought me the owlet. I need someone to tell me how to use it. LOL!
The only input I have on the owlet is that our pediatrician loosely "advised" or suggested against us using it. He said that it goes off all. of. the. time. And usually results in more anxiety than not using one. I looked up reviews and seemed to find the same so we never bought it. If you end up loving it let me know!!!! I'd still consider getting it.

Celine has not yet returned since we sent her back. We keep talking about it and every time we plan for it we end up having the night from hell and get freaked about adding her to the mix. Soon though, hopefully this week. We have to wait for MIL to be able to bring SIL with her with the dog bc Celine doesn't like being in the car/back seat alone.
I just want to put L in a bubble for the next 18 years. My sister and her husband were planning to stop by today to meet L. They texted us saying that sister might have been exposed to whooping cough last week at one of the play groups she attends with her son. My sister watched DS last week while we were in the hospital. 😔 DS has been vaccinated so I'm not worried there, but he's here and around L, so I'm worried about her. I'm currently upstairs nursing L and H comes up to tell me he's going to sleep downstairs because he isn't feeling good. He has chills and said all his muscles hurt. I'm praying he doesn't get the flu. I'm double praying DS doesn't get the flu (since he gets febrile seizures at the slightest elevated temp). I'm triple praying L doesn't get whooping cough or the flu. We do not need a 5 day old getting sick. I want a bubble 😢
kleigh idk if you were still looking for a swing but the FP ones are apparently a really good Cyber Monday deal. Someone mentioned it in the pinned thread, if you're interested.
Little Miss is on night 2 of refusing to be put down. I did get to snooze for 12 minutes earlier while she was in her swing before she started to scream. It's gonna be a long night.
I think if she were up eating I would at least understand why, but I have no real explanation for a 9 day old that just wants to hang out and stare at me. Like how are you not tired?
