We're going to a 1st birthday party tomorrow and giving money as our gift. I have no clue how much to give. I've been friends with the mom for 8 years (met on TK). We're not super close, but we keep in touch and I see her about once a month at Bunco.
I would have done a poll, but didn't see that option on the app.
I feel like you could spend $15 on a thing, but when you're giving cash, you can't give $15. If I got $20-$25 from a friend for LO's birthday, I would be very happy. That sounds weird, because of course I'd be grateful for any gift. But it would be a nice gift.

Thanks for posting this. I'm also going to a birthday party tomorrow. I got a gift, but spent a little more than $15 and I wasn't sure if that was sufficient. I feel like I would be happy with that amount. However, we always felt like we gave a decent amount for weddings... Until we got married and saw what everyone else gave. I don't want to get to LOs birthday and realize that we were being cheap again
