We are a group of women striving to live healthier lives, whether that means losing weight, gaining weight, sticking to a specific diet, counting calories, avoiding counting calories, starting to exercise, continuing to exercise or anything in between.
We check in on Sundays/Mondays. Feel free to use this ckin throughout the week if you are struggling or have an awesome achievement to share!
**** I'm not going to be tagging anymore for a couple reasons. So anyone PLEASE feel free to jump in anytime!! ****
So Tell Me:
The Good:
The Bad:
The Proud:
The Plan:
QOTD: With all the holidays happening, how do you keep your eating in check?
*waves* Hi 4furrypaws, thanks for the check-in! and *hugs*
The Good: I didn't gain any weight while cycling! Not really anyway, maybe a pound but that's neglectable right? LOL
The Bad: I've been having all the munchies lately and kept indulging these past days.
The Proud: Did my weekly groceries with the hubs today (so fun he can join me for shopping now that he's home from work yay, though he may not fully agree ;-)) and did only buy fruit as healthy snack, no chips or chocolate or anything else.
The Plan: hmm don't really have a plan atm, apart from munching less/giving in less to my cravings and eating healthier snacks.
The good: the freaking thanksgiving leftovers are gone. I've been feeling so sick with the amount of carbs I've had since thursday. And I've had horrible acid reflux each night.
The bad: all of the freaking thanksgiving leftovers!!
The proud: smoothie for breakfast, a bit of spinning this morning despite a really bad headache.
The plan: going back to NM in two weeks. I want to be super careful with my food choices at least until then. Also I'd like to go back to the gym at least to swim.
Qotw: apparently I don't. I do all of the cooking which means I pat for all of the food and end up with all of the leftovers. Holiday food is pricey. If I didn't eat the leftovers it would be like throwing money away

The Good: I did a workout last night for the first time in like 3 months
The Bad: I decided I could not wear heels today because of said workout and the fact that I was walking like a newborn calf in them
The Proud: I decided to start the 21 day fix yesterday and I stayed on track all day.
The Plan: clean eating, fewer carbs, daily workouts, that is the plan... now just to keep the motivation going.
QOTD: With all the holidays happening, how do you keep your eating in check? I didn't over Thanksgiving, that was the problem. I will be trying to make healthy choices at Christmas though. We host so I should be able to make sure I have good choices.
menrandes In the past when I've asked for specific things to be brought then they bring something else...messes up my plans...ugh. So I stopped asking.
lunalovegood I'm picturing you walking like that. Lol! Good job working out, you'll get back in the habit. It's starting back up that's hard!
Yes! I was surprised myself.. last time I gained like 4 or 5? Fun moment the other day: I stood on the scales like a day after ER and it said 63 (kg mind you) and I was like huh wth, how did I loose 5lbs overnight - surely that can't be right (but secretly I was like Yay!). Stood on them again and instantly gained 4 pounds again booo haha Save

The good: still not much. Hit well over my steps yesterday though and should hit 10,000 today.
The bad: so much right now. I'm not motivated at all right now and its been a stressful few weeks.
The proud: SO took me roller skating for the first time a few weeks ago (I'd never been although I'm a pretty decent ice-skater) and I'm proud to say that I've done really well with it. We've gone three times since and its been good exercise for me and maybe we will continue through the winter (its why I actually hit my steps the few times that I have over the last month).
The plan: continue to eat healthier (which I actually have been) and get my act moving. If I hit my steps today I only need to do one more day to hit my original goal which was 3x a week (but over the summer I was easily doing everyday).
QOTW: I try to just eat until I'm full and not go farther than that. I actually enjoy the act of baking and cooking more to give to others than to keep around here, so that's been ok. I do love me some pie and cookies though so I'm sure December will be a struggle to keep eating in check that's for sure.
