tallblonde I had a similar thing happen with a big clot. My bleeding actually slowed down after it. Hopefully it's nothing for you, too.
waitwhat I don't think I'd be going to the park if it wasn't for my mom's club. It really does take a village. The store was...interesting, but we figured it out and it really wasn't that bad. I wore Lilah to both the park and the store which was helpful.
Re umbilical stumps: Lilah's fell off last week and underneath was all goopy looking. It apparently is normal for it to look that way. Hers is now completely closed up and looks almost totally normal.
Our outing was a success! And I even managed to get Lillian to nap. Lilah is napping, too. I'm going to try putting her in the pnp so I can maybe get a nap.
We are gearing up for nighttime. This is usually the hour that I start to get anxious but I'm hoping after last nights success that I have a recipe for success.
Hola! C had his one week appointment today and is back to his birth weight. I'm one proud mama. It definitely helps manage the late night feedings.
tjanca22 we decided to send DS1 to daycare full time while I'm on leave. I go back and forth between feeling really guilty and not. It is good for all of us mentally to keep a routine. My mom is coming next week and he will go at least part of the day.

That was why we ended up sending him, he and all of us thrive off routine. I also don't want to have to reintroduce him to daycare in 10 weeks and him be unfamiliar with the people and place. I'll just deal with the mom guilt for now. Gotta feel guilty about something, right?
dashook SAME EXACT thing with Alec. When he cries/screams it bulges out and was reddish with yellowish pus at the base. That was like 8ish days ago and it looks better the past couple days. Let me know what the pedi says, can't hurt to hear another ones opinion.
So apparently the stuff I thought was pus is just tissue that's healing. The pedi pulled off the remaining scab and cleaned everything with alcohol on a q-tip. She wants us to keep an eye on the top "lip" of the bellybutton, which is pretty red. She thinks it might just be irritated but wants us to call if there is any discharge or if the red spreads. Otherwise she'll just peek at it again on Friday when we go for D's 2-week appointment.
Ooh another plus of going to the pediatrician--Miss D is now 9 pounds! This is 7 oz. above her birth weight and 12 oz. above where she was at 4 days old. I will take 12 oz. in 6 days!
Is anyone else planning to use or using post partum shapewear? So far I've just been putting a belly bad on over my pants but I just ordered a pair of those Blanqi leggings (50% off for Black Friday) and I'm hoping they help some because my tummy is way smaller but still markedly rounded.
Sounds good dashook ! I'm glad they said it was normal!
About the shape wear, if there's some worthy item I'd def get it but I'd have no idea what to actually get. My belly has gone all the way down to pre pregnancy but the skin remains loose and stretched now.

When kid 2 was born, I would have continued sending kid 1 to daycare in a heartbeat, but H didn't want to spend the money. It would have been such a nice break for me to not have both kids to deal with for at least a few hours a day, and I would have not felt so guilty about how I didn't get out with him often enough (you're definitely right about feeling guilty about something). Now all the older kids are in school at least part time, and I am loving the six hours a week when it's just me and LO.

LO spent most of the day cluster feeding (practically the only time he wasn't on the boob was when we were in the car dropping off/picking up the older kids from school), but he is currently sleeping on H while I watch the Eagles game and wait for the dryer to finish so I can put the clothes away. I think at halftime I'm going to empty the dishwasher since I ran it after dinner (fingers crossed that LO stays asleep long enough since he's looking kind of squirmy).
starbuck27, hugs mama. I have to imagine it can only get easier as all 3 of them get older, but I'm sure that isn't much of a comfort right now. vinolove, sorry she's been tough on you during that stretch of the night. Ugh. That's a long one.
LO just slept one of her longest stretches ever. I gave her to DH a little after 9 and went up to bed, thinking she'd be up around 11, but he didn't come to get me until 12:45! I really needed that.
Poor thing was beside herself with hunger but I finally got her latched on and she seems very content now. FX she'll want to keep sleeping after this and not just stare at me for hours again. Sleep begets sleep, right?
I'm also waking up covered on sweat still. It's really gross.
Trying to go back to liners today. Fx.
We have playgroup at another park this morning. Lilah's 2 week appointment is this afternoon. DH is coming home right after school. Hoping I can replicate the simultaneous naps after the dr. Yesterday was awesome. I got 2 hours of sleep in with the girls.
+whatever to night sweats still. Between that and leaking boobs, im surprised my H hasn't tried to jump me (sarcasm in case there was any question)
I did however, put on regular jeans today! They are a size bigger than normal and create a nice pouch at the stomach, but they are over my hips and zipped up!
Hello all. I'm here and love titting all of you, I'm going to try and be here more.
J has been partying most nights until 2-3am and it is getting exhausting. I do my full nighttime routine and when she wakes for her 9:30-10pm feed she is ready to let loose. I on the other hand am not and that is exactly when I want to sleep.
I can barely keep my eyes open MOTN feeds, I can't imagine the words I would try and put together for a post.
This is C exactly, although luckily it's mostly only been til midnight or so. But yes, I am more exhausted then than I am later in the night-morning. I just read stuff on my phone to try and stay awake, but no posting from me either.
