I'm going to rehome my husband. Before 8am, he decided it'd be a great idea to give our daughter a lollipop. I even said no. Then he went to work. Gee thanks, get her hyped up on sugar then leave me to deal with her.
I wanted to get groceries today but once we got in the store, DD turned into an uncooperative banshee. So I guess I'll do it tomorrow when she's at daycare and I only have DS. Today needs a do over already

Urgh is hate shit like that swim. Like why listen to the person who has to handle it all day right?
It's freezing rain here. Guess who isn't walking her dogs today. I shall spend the day cooking I think. Which means naps, which means I should probably start that.

I'll second a do over swim. I'm so tired I don't even know what I'm doing right now. L has been sleeping great lately, but decided last night was the night to wake up screaming 5 times and be super difficult to console back to sleep. My poor mom is visiting and went to sleep on our downstairs couch because of all the crying. Thank god SS sleeps through it at least.

I think I'm over this age/stage. DS won't eat much of anything lately solids wise (what he wants to do is turn purees into finger foods) and I just don't have the milk to make up the difference in what he used to be eating. He's waking up early from naps hungry then gets crabby AF bc he's still tired. I just don't even know what to do. I wish he'd take a bottle.

I think it's just been too long since he last took one. I tried again today, adding a drop of vanilla extract to my milk in case that was the issue. He seemed slightly more interested than when I tried last week but mostly just bit the nipple like he didn't know what to do with it. He took 1/3 oz.
Morning ladies! I took H for her first day of Preschool this morning. She was so excited to go until she realized I wasn't staying. I snuck out when she was distracted. It snowed in the night and our road was super icy so I left early...but the main roads were all clear. Weird. After grabbing a breakfast burrito S and I came home and have just been hanging out. She's been napping for about 40 minutes and I'm going to have to wake her in a little bit to go get H. And it's snowing again! I'm not sure how much we are supposed to get but I'm getting my new boots this morning so that's good timing.

DD takes most of her milk at daycare in a cup - they're lucky if she'll take half a bottle. Most days they give it to her in a cup. Maybe try that? DD goes to a Montessori, so it's an open cup, but I'm sure a sippy or whatever you plan on introducing would be fine.
Sorry for the sick/fussy/tired babies. I'm currently trying to get x back down to sleep. He woke up from a nap and was grumpy. We didn't even make it out of his room before deciding he wasn't ready to be up.
Lysol'ing the house and trying to make room for Christmas decorations today. I'm supposed to tutor tonight but I think I'll cancel bc I don't want H to be that close to X yet. I'm kind of paranoid about x getting the flu.

Yes, I tried again this afternoon and we finally had luck when I just took the top off the bottle and used it as a cup. Messy but he took it.
I ordered flannel sheets on Black Friday for my bed from kohls. They came today. Wrong print. I ordered tan arrows and got blue buffalo print. So no I have to take both kids to try to hopefully exchange them. Kohls is 20 minutes away so not exactly a quick trip when you add in two children.

Sounds like daycare was a hit. She was sad for a couple minutes when I left but was fine after that. She went outside and played for a little while, they learned about the letter "M" and the sense "hearing". She says she wants to go back so I think she liked it!

Hopefully it is/was a painless trip
I hope so too. I'm going to try to go Thursday while my dad watches Eleanor for a little bit. Ihave to take Mallory to an appt so I'm hoping he can stay a little longer.
I started watching Gilmore girls the other day from the beginning. Some of the things are really bugging me. They are awful at pretending their obviously empty cups actually have anything in them. Also why do they sit on wooden dining chairs at the movie theater?

Yay for liking it!
We are skipping preschool this year because of cutoffs since Eleanor can't even start kindergarten until 2019. And 3 years of it would be over kill and expensive.

I put H in preschool because she misses kids. She has gone to daycare from 12 weeks old until the end of march when we pulled her to stay home with me. It's 2 days a week in the morning and $99 a month. Plus my sanity is worth that, haha. She will be in the same boat as E for kindergarten.

And they never actually eat any of the food they make or order. They take one bite and rush away.

Empty cups on tv shows drives me irrationally crazy. Also when actors brush their teeth and clearly have an empty toothbrush.

trtlcrzy I'm glad H enjoyed her day. I hear you on the reasoning. I'm hoping to start A in nursery school/preschool two half days a week in the new year. She needs to be around peers her own age more and, I love her to bits, but after the last couple weeks I'm thinking a small break from each other might not be a bad thing.
Tonight is day 1 with no pacifier for my big girl. She finally went for the idea of picking out a stuffy to cuddle when she misses her pacifier and has been in agreement with this for days so tonight was the night. She tantrumed herself to sleep so we'll see how the rest of the night goes.
Tomorrow morning is the babies' 9 month appointment and my Mom texted tonight to say she is too sick to go out tomorrow so DH is taking the day off. I could manage if I had to but dealing with all three kids at the doctors office is no cakewalk, especially if we do flu shots.

I'm on cold number 4 since moving here. Before that I hadn't really been sick in years besides a little cold here or there. Idk if it's Colorado or the traveling. Either way I ain't happy.

DS is at home with me so it's not DC germs but we've had colds more often than not for 2 months now
