The night before the bar exam this summer I watched like 5 episodes of this show in a row in my hotel room. It was awesome.
It's so addicting! The regular Chopped is fun to watch, but I honestly don't think I would eat half the stuff they make. Like, I just don't think I'd ever willingly eat Squab.
Mom just left... She made tacos, Gdamn I love that woman - she just gets me. And she brought mint choc chip ice cream for dessert. And we watched the tree lighting.
Also she is the baby whisperer... Adeline was so "fussy", but the second I hand her over to mom she stops crying and starts making cooing faces/sounds.
Then mom says "baby, she's still hungry". And I'm all "no mom, I just fed her". And she's all, "ok honey but I really think she's still hungry, that's why she's fussing like that for you".
Well dip my balls in chocolate, don't ya know I feed her another 2 oz and girlfriend hasn't cried the rest of the night.
I mean, the woman has had 6 kids and 13 grandkids, why don't I just listen to her - she IS like the subject expert lol.
OMG a chocolate milkshake sounds divine waitwhat ! We have a really good hot dog "stand" around here and they're milkshakes are the best - I might need to get one today.
I have to add..... After that additional bottle last night, Adeline slept soundly from 8:30p to 2:00am - a 5.5 hour stretch !!!!! And then again from 3am onward (she's still sleeping and it's 7:15am here). So basically she woke up only once last night!!
Alec was up a little more, I'll have to check with H but holy cow I feel like a brand new woman.
That's awesome kleigh! So how much total is she eating? I never know how much to give this kid. Sometimes it seems like he'll eat 5oz, other times he stops after 1. My standard is 3 but I'm thinking of trying 4oz to see if that does anything for us.
goldenlove3 Exactly, sometimes she eats 3oz and sometimes she has just a few mLs and stops. Alec eats about 3 oz per feed also. They both eat about every 2-2.5 hours but sometimes they'll go 3 hrs. Our biggest mistake has been thinking they need the same amount every time and every 2-3 hrs. So starting today we are just going off them. We'll start with 3.5oz and feed as they request even if it's only been an hour or so - we just didn't realize they could be hungry again so soon - that was our mistake.
kleigh Glad you got some sleep!! And yes, on demand feeding is challenging. Sometimes she's happy to nurse for 10 minutes and then is fine for 3 hours. Other times, she'll nurse for 30 minutes and be hungry again in an hour. I imagine it's even harder with bottle feeding.

I think I'm a little green seeing all these long feeding breaks. We were four weeks yesterday and have yet to have longer than a two hour stretch of sleep at night and an hour and a half during the day. Most days she's still eating hourly. Pedi says it's fine and I mostly don't mind...but occasionally I would just like to be able to get something, anything done.
sophiegrace It will come. Lillian was like that for a while. It's hard and frustrating at times, but she'll spread out her feedings and sleep longer stretches soon.
sophiegrace and waitwhat It will definitely come. If it's any consolation I would give up the longer breaks if it meant I could've remained EBF. I understand BFd babies can't/don't go as long in between feeds (at least initially).
