Good morning! I woke up to more snow on the ground and it looks like there's some flurries out there now. Not much excitement planned today. I want to run to the cabinet shop this morning and maybe Walmart to exchange one of H's bday gifts. This afternoon is S's 9 month appt. DH didn't get home until 10 tonight and I'm not expecting any earlier tonight.

Yikes, those are long nights for all of you! Is this a really busy season for him? (Sorry, I forget what he does).
Chocolate and babies. Is it just in the "not too much sugar" category or is there another reason not to give it? Like, when I share my pancakes or muffins with him, I tear out the chocolate bits. Is that unnecessary? (Is my FTM showing?)
Morning ladies! We are heading to the library after L wakes up. In the meantime C and I are snuggling and watching a show. I am feeling suuuuuuper lazy today. Zero motivation.

Sugar and caffeine. It's a small amount, but it's present enough that we don't allow cardiac patients at work to even have chocolate pudding, so I skip it for babies too...

Just working. Nothing exciting on the books for today. Trying to resist the urge to spend the majority of the day finishing up online Christmas shopping.
DS has a fever. Gave Tylenol and a cold bath which involved lots of screaming and crying. Checked our nearest drug store for infant Motrin but they don't carry it. He's nursing right now and he's alternating between sleepy and cranky (cold washcloths aren't his fav) and babbling and smiles

Yes, he is a delivery driver so he will be busy until the beginning of January, sounds like.

Mom of the year award: V opened a kitchen cupboard one day and somehow unscrewed a Costco-size chocolate covered almonds. She then ate the chocolate of ~20 of them and spit the nuts out. It was messy but I don't think it was terrible for her health. I've also given her pumpkin loaf with chocolate chips in it. Honestly she eats straight up DIRT at daycare every day. Chocolate seems like a better choice than dirt.
We just got our first big snowstorm of the season. It actually knocked out our power.
DD's daycare was still open today so she's there for the day. I'm exhausted. On top of being woken up early, I've shoveled, tidied the living room, and grocery shopped. I came home to pump only to have the batteries die in my pump leaving me to run out to get new batteries. And now DS is fighting his nap.
Ooh! It seems he has succumbed to the temptation of sleep. Now I can attempt a nap myself
All I've had time for since he won't nap today is spraying the tree green. I could take the easy way now and just spray all of the boxes green, then add numbers in different colors. Or I could take the time to hand paint all the boxes in various patterns and whatnot, but then it certainly won't be ready to open a box starting tomorrow night. Whenever the painting is done, I still need to spray with clear acrylic to give it all a smooth finish. And I still need to get to the store to find things to fill it with. How should I design this thing? Any thoughts? (Idk why I'm doing this. I'm not crafty. Lol.)

tkford216 you could always do different coloured ornaments on the front of each box and then hand paint the number on the ornament. That way the tree will look decorated but it's not too complex to do.

He's been steadily taking hour+ naps for a week now. I'm exhausted, decided to lay down while he took his afternoon nap. Guess who's up after 30 minutes this time...
