Yea, so the whole "how do I make sure my kid doesn't ruin the tree" thing? We brought him by the tree this morning and got my camera ready to get that super cute first look picture... he does. not. care. At all.

He will only care about it when you are: A) too far away to reach him in time B) trying to sit down and drink your coffee in peace

Stilllll with baby fever here. We are going to decorate the tree this morning, then who knows! Change the liner of the shower curtain? Put new sheets on the beds?

I just put my tree up but will wait to decorate it til bedtime. I want to enjoy it. We still have colds here, but they aren't too awful. I'm considering leaving the house for wine.....Ryan fell last night face first and his bottom tooth hit his upper gum and it was bleeding like crazy for a few minutes, the gums are all swollen though because his teeth are coming in so I think that didn't help. gave him a frozen teether right away and the bleeding slowed at least and was done in a few minutes. Poor bum was crying! Now we have to survive today, tomorrow we are going to the train museum!!! Yay!!!

That was C the first year. Barely noticed. He was only 6 mos though so not mobile. I was so worried the next year that he'd be a terror about it. Nope. Didn't care. Last year he loved it but didn't pull ornaments or anything. But when we took it down he was so sad. I guess he thought it was permanent...
Morning! We are having a lazy morning so far and in a little bit we are going to the zoo for breakfast with santa and Mrs clause. This afternoon I need to run a couple errands during nap that I cant do during the week solo parenting. After that DH will put up the lights on the house probably.
I'm jealous of those with babies who don't care about the tree! DS is always up in the tree's business, removing the bottom ornaments. So now the tree looks cluttered at the top and empty near the bottom lol.
DD decided 4:30 was an excellent time to wake up this morning. And kept getting out of bed just as I was falling back asleep, usually 15-20 minutes after putting her back down. At 6, we just decided to give up and get up for the day. I thought I could get both kids down for a morning nap, but only DS would cooperate for that. Thank goodness for caffeine!
I think I might make cookies later. It's been forever, and H requested some. But I'll probably wait until DD is up from her nap so she can help.
Visiting Santa didn't go as well as I had expected. Everyone had a good enough time, lol. I ran my errands and then came home. DH is putting the lights on the house right now and I'm watching national lampoons Christmas vacation.
I got my first pair of LLR leggings today in the mail. They are just wine colored, no pattern. I'm wearing them with a tank and my soft target shirt like chocolate's. I feel so awkward and like I'm not wearing pants right now. I don't know if I can do leggings. Plus the seam makes it look like I have a huge camel toe. Help!

Just got L to sleep and now I'm having a glass of wine while we watch Polar Express with SS.
We were lazy this morning and then took him to his taekwondo belt test. He did so awesome and made us very proud! Then we got wings and I hung out with the kids while DH went to fix some things at his mom's house. Poor woman had a squirrel find its way inside her house and go crazy until it died, so DH had to locate and seal it's point of entry. Then we picked up our Christmas tree, but won't decorate until tomorrow night because lazy.

Dear lawd, I thought he'd never sleep. He was up AS SOON as I even THOUGHT about putting him down allllll afternoon. He's finally given up and his fever is the lowest it's been since Thursday after bouncing back high all day today. Hopefully it's done. That was a doozy.
I have a lot of work to do tonight because I had to solo parent the first half of the week while H was sick, then didn't get a free second since Thursday when X got sick.
H is in the kitchen making me "a surprise" and I know it involves shortening. I'm curious. He's made all 3 meals today. What a guy. I'm going to finish this work with a slight wine buzz and I'm not even going to feel bad about it.

I can't wear leggings in public either unless under a dress. I've never figured it out.

Dresses + Leggings are my ultimate comfort zone, but almost all of my winter dresses are not nursing friendly, so I've forced myself to branch out a bit. I mostly only wear leggings as pants if I'm around the house or running to Walmart. If Or maybe I just figured so many people have seen my lady bits in the past year, I've stopped caring? That's bad.
trtlcrzy,Does the sweater cover your crotch? Or the tank? Maybe a longer tank under it would help?

I changed and am not at home. I'll take a pic in the morning. The shirt doesn't cover, but the tank does. That results in me being self conscious because I don't want it to ride up.

Speaking of covering up, we were in line to see Santa earlier this week and DH says "Um, is that your butt?" Yep, the back pocket of my jeans had ripped showing a good square of my bare behind (boy, did I choose the right day to wear a thong). I kept making futile attempts to pull my shirt down to cover it while DH chuckled at me.
Anybody else randomly look through all the old photos on your phone and all your insides burst into a million pieces because of ALL THE SQUISHY CUTENESS OMG. I still can't handle it. And now they're coming up on a year?! Time is a weird thing.

I do this more often than I care to admit. Does it get easier as they get older!?
I'm going with my bestie to look for wedding dresses today. I have to stop at the store on the way to get stuff for mimosas. I'll be baby free from 8am until dinner time. That makes me excited and sad all at once.

Nope! I find myself pulling up albums on the computer from 2 years ago to look at DD as a squishy baby too.

I'm making photo books for my mom and grandparents for Christmas so I was organizing the last year of photos last night. All the feels looking back at L's first few weeks of life. I think I made DH nervous, haha.
Hey! Lazy day today. Working on house chores that get ignored during the week. H might be getting sick, not sure yet. Before lunch she was saying she was freezing and wanted to be wrapped up in a blanket, then didn't hardly eat any lunch and is now napping. I hope it's just a fluke.
I tutored this morning. Fever keeps coming and going. He wakes up as soon as I set him down to sleep. He's not showing any other signs, but I'm wondering if it's an EI. We will take him in tomorrow if this keeps up. I'm so tired of sitting at home. The only reason I've left my house since Thursday is to drop off a donation, pick up a prescription, and tutor
Hope H isn't getting sick, trtlcrzy. That would be a fast preschool initiation.
Yep. We woke up to snow and it's continued snowing all day. Not sticking a ton and the trucks have been out already, but everything is definitely white!

How long has he had his fever? If over 3 days I'd take him in. I hope he's feeling better soon.
When H started daycare at 12 weeks she got a cold after 1 day so par for the course for her.
