teraiin, I say "meh." For generations, people didn't spend their days worrying about their children sitting up on a certain progression or anything like that, and for generations, children have figured it out on their own.
I'm like ellesea, if we're home, DS gets ploped somewhere, usually on the floor. He's mastered scooting backwards on his own. It really pisses him off, because he's trying to move forward. So the harder he tries to reach whatever he's after, the further away he gets.
A has gotten to the point where she wants to be put on the floor to explore. She doesn't want our help that much. If this independent streak is a trend she's going to be a handful in a few years.
I just finished making the annual photo book on Shutterfly. Thanks to accumulating several promo codes over the year, I can get three copies for almost nothing. Easy grandparent present!

That's awesome! I need to look at making one of those.

I used a bunch of Coke reward points that my mom accumulated but never redeemed. The books were free but about $8 shipping each. Still not too bad for a very personalized present I know they will love.

I have a coupon for a free book and I've been working on making a "pregnancy journal" book with all my bump photos, ultrasound photos, shower, nursery decorating and general baby prep fun. It's taken a LOT of my time so far....None of my pictures fit nicely into any of the prearranged pages!! So everything needs to be re-laid out, photos resized, blah blah blah. They're marketing says: "Easy to Make. Just choose a photo book style, add photos and check out." Hardly!!! Now, I am admittedly quite picky, but it is not that easy!! I even got super pissed at it at one point and almost gave up! I revisited the task last night and got a lot done. Hope it turns out pretty darn great in the end with all the time I've put into it! It'll be so good to have even if it's not perfect though

I hate most of their pre-fab layouts too. I spent a lot of time in the "advanced editing" area creating my own layouts.

Yesss! The advanced editing is where the magic happens!!
We had a plumber come over yesterday and fix a perpetually running faucet. In our haste we (ahem, MH) turned off the gas to the water heater as well as the water. And now we can't get the damn pilot light lit again. Cold showers in December are not fun.

We have to go shopping around lunch today. So now I have the dilemma of do I eat something at home before we go, or do we get fast food while we're out. I could really use an awesome chicken sandwich right now, so I think fast food is going to win out. So much for losing weight. lol
Ridley's over here making a mess of herself with her sippy cup. She chews on it instead of sucking on it, but it's rubbery, so when she bites down water just pours out and she can't drink it fast enough, not to mention her mouth is usually open, so it just runs down her neck. We have three pairs of pajamas that we put on her every other night because whatever she's wearing early in the evening is soaked, so we switch her out before bed. She loves her water so much, though. It keeps her attention more than any toy ever has.
This is like the worst he's been in ages. I'm guessing it's his teeth.cnombined with army crawling obsession. If he's not attempting crawl No heachewing on his hands and crying. He wants no part of rocking. I finally gave him some Tylenol just in case

I wouldn't shower.
I wouldn't have, but we had our Christmas photos scheduled for Saturday morning.
Btw we did get the pilot relit. The igniter wasn't working so we had to pull off this little door and light it with a match. And by we I mean MH because I am very nervous about natural gas.
