DD1 got hit with the stomach bug, so here I am at 3am. I just cleaned the bathrooms and disinfected doorknobs. She's on the couch and we're watching Little People, Big World.

jwinct hope DD feels better and no one else gets it!
I'm up. DS is taking forever to settle back down after eating. My arm is also numb and I'm having issues getting it to stop... I had this issue after DD was born as well... so annoying and uncomfortable.
Today is the 26th anniversary of my mom's death. I took DD to visit her grave when we went back to my hometown this summer and I've been looking at the pictures I took.
jwinct Hope the kid feels better soon. hikingmama222 Hugs for you about your mom. These kind of days are always a little hard.
DS is such a little grunter when he is fighting sleep. Waiting for him to calm down before I hit the sack again.
So happy it's Friday but wish DH and I had the day off to spend together. He leaves at like 3am on Sunday so I can't even take him to the airport. Tomorrow will be prepping him for the trip and trying to get the house chores I need help with done. Adulting really bums me out some days.
I've been up since 330. HL needed a bottle and I could barely move because my blobs hurt so bad. I made the mistake of going to bed without pumping or hand expressing. H woke up and ended up feeding her so I could take care of my other girls (the ones attached to me). I did a warm compress and then hand expressed for the longest time. I am too wired to go back to sleep. So I'm getting ready to take a candlelit soak at 530 am.
The stomach flu is my personal hell. I'm so sorry jwinct. I hope she gets better soon and that the rest of you are spared. Thinking of you today hikingmama222. Sorry about YH leaving this weekend macaronmama. penguin129 I really didn't find drying up Robb's all that painful, as long as I could keep a good, supportive bra on at all times. The post-surgical pain from my CS was def worse for me. Good luck. iwantbacon I'm sorry about the anxiety. I hope you get some rest.
Is this where I come in and say, OMG DS2 slept from 9p-5:25a. Of course I woke up at 2 and checked on him and then at 4:30, but that still the best night of sleep I've gotten in awhile. Please, dear sleep Gods, let this become our new norm.
I have a hair appt today, so lots and lots of driving for me. But at least these roots will be taken care of. Oh and my out of control eyebrows. It's been since September since I had my hair/brows done. 😳😖
jwinct oh no, my least favorite part of winter. Hope it skips the rest of you! hikingmama222 hugs to you today.
I'm keeping DD1 home today to go to a playdate to make snow globes. But that's at 9am so I need to figure out how to entertain her the rest of the day.
Snuggling up right now with my sleepy baby, coffee, and watching Fixer Upper. It's so cold here today! Currently 27 outside, and I live in GA so this is pretty unseasonably cold for us.
I may try for a nap too bc I had super restless sleep last night, which is annoying bc H volunteered to feed the baby when she got up so I could have had a solid 8 hrs uninterrupted.

Thanks ladies.
britta What a great stretch of sleep! Hope it continues for you!
penguin129 Hope you dry up soon without too much pain.
DS has his first round of immunizations this morning. Dropping DD off at daycare, I'm so thankful my DCP is happy to have her come for random drop in days as needed. They miss her so much there, and she misses them, she's so excited. Meeting my work team for lunch afterwards, they are having their Christmas lunch and my boss invited me along. Hoping DS sleeps through the whole thing. Might try and get some shopping done before I go pick up DD. DH has a stress test (just precautionary testing, heart disease runs in his family) after work, so he'll be home later than usual.

Morning ladies! Too much to tag already on mobile but hope everyone has a great day and the Littles take it easy on all of us.
C and I are going to go to lunch with a friend from work today and then we are taking the kids to zoo lights tonight. It's supposed to be in the 40s which is very Cold for us and it will be at night so it will feel colder so I'm going to go see if I can buy some gloves for the toddler. She fights jackets like they are poisonous.
Any tips on what she should be wearing outside for the upper 30s/lower40s so I don't over or under dress her would be appreciated from those of you who live where it's cold I'm going to wear the baby and am actually pretty set for warm clothes for that one.
We're just hanging this am. My mom is coming this afternoon so I'm going to go Christmas shopping. For others and maybe for myself. I need the break. I may even go nap in front of the beach. I'm leaving milk for her and will have to pump prolly while I'm out to keep up supply. I need more than an hour. H is going to stay with the girls tomorrow am so I can go do something too. I'm just so. burnt. out. I may have to break the dry spell.
Hugs to you hikingmama222. And yay for everyone who got great sleep last night!
MH and N are going to the dump and to get haircuts this morning. I may run to Carters when they get back to look for Christmas jammies for the boys. I want to get G a couple of sweatshirts to wear in the car seat as well. Tonight we're going over to MH's college roommate's for dinner. They have two boys, so N should have a blast.
jwinct hope she gets better quick! hikingmama222 thinking of you today and sending hugs britta yay for awesome sleep! And I am jealous you are getting your brows done. My caterpillars have been severely neglected! sanibel21 I am glad you are getting some mama time to yourself!
DS started the day out screaming in his crib. Poor guy just didn't feel well with this crappy cold he has. DD seems to be doing ok, just congested. The amount of snot in my house is disgusting.
I want to do some sort of easy Christmas craft with DS today to give to the grandparents for Christmas.

I did a salt dough ornament. Made the dough with salt flour and water, cut out Christmas trees, and had the kids put some finger prints in them. Put a little hole up top with a straw for ribbing to hang. Bake at 170 for a couple hours, then paint the fingerprints to look like ornaments, and the rest of the tree green. I saw it on pinterest. I let DD play with some extra dough and paints etc so I could do the gift ones pretty well.
Omg. I don't know how I'm going to handle another 10 months of DS being home 3 days a week and not getting any sleep to deal with him. I may lose my mind.
fem I hate it when we are up at like 6 am and play dates aren't until 9/10am it seems like the morning drags!
smallpotato Costco has some Christmas pjs size 6mo-5t. 6 months is a bit big on DD right now but it doesn't look ridiculous
@snuff9861 I feel you! I've had DS home this entire time. It's not easy, I've had to lower my expectations significantly and he watches a lot more TV than I would like to admit. It's the only way to keep him entertained when I need to cook or keep him out of a room. And baby gates, those are a lifesaver.
I just spent 45 minutes filling out preschool enrollment forms. It's preschool. Why do I need to provide the same information five times?
My parents are taking DD2 overnight again tonight so hopefully I'll get the house all cleaned up this afternoon. DS and I are going to mom/baby yoga this morning.
AG was born in July. I could put her in Florida's Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program for the 16-17 school year. I decided I am going to keep her home one more year. I believe she will be 5 when she enters VPK. The cut-off is October. That is if I don't go the homeschooling route.
jwinct stomach bugs are the absolute worst I really hope for you that no one else gets it... so exhausting as a mom to deal with all of that!
hikingmama222 those kind of anniversaries are so hard. I lost my dad when I was 13 and it sucks. Wish he was here to see all of my kids and I have always wondered how he'd interact with them and with me as an adult. Hugs to you!
macaronmama hope his trip is a quick one! I dislike solo parenting when my H travels
penguin129 I hope your milk dries up soon so you don't have to bother with that anymore! Hope you had a nice bath though!
iwantbacon I hate when I can't stop thinking about random things when I could be sleeping
britta hooray for good sleep!! FX it continues for you
So glad it's Friday! We went to DD2's preschool last night for her sing-a-long. After stopping to pick up our Christmas cards and grab dinner, we were home after the kids' bedtimes and they were all cranky. All the kids singing at the preschool were so cute though.
Today I'm getting my to-do list ready for the weekend. Hoping to be really productive. We need to get a tree and decorate. The kids want to go look at lights in all of the neighborhoods again this weekend. It was fun seeing them all and listening to Christmas music.
I'm going to visit my friend, her 6 mo baby and my friend's mom after lunch when the toddler is napping. Glad my H works from home so I can leave the napping toddler at home for 1-2 hrs.
