I tried searching but I didn't really find anything.. pants bibs for eating (for babies). I'm going to try to make it. Like, a pants shaped piece of fabric that covers the front part of the waist through thighs, secured around the waist and knees by velcro or something. Idk. I'll work on it. This kid likes to wipe his hands on his pants while eating. Annoying.
tkford216 that's brilliant! This kid smears her food on her clothing and her face and hair. I've given up on special equipment and just buy really cheap clothing I can throw away after the 20th blackberry stain.

I'll see what I can come up with and send one your way.
I'm feeling sooooo cabin fevery (better than actual fever I guess). I feel like we spend so much time quarantined because of colds. L doesn't have a temp (yet) so I was debating trying a new indoor playspace but then I got guilty because she wouldn't be cleared for school yet (not fever free for 24 hours) so I shouldn't expose her to other kids. I guess one more day here won't ruin us. If she's still fever free after nap we might do target or something where I can keep her confined to her seat....

I've been a slacker employee all week. I've had so many meetings, but not gotten much else done. Must focus today. Instead I'm TCFing and already dreaming about post-bedtime chillin on the couch with a glass of wine.

Could you go, wear her in a carrier and then let your DS play?

She hasn't tolerated a carrier since she was a couple months old Which SUCKS because I have 10. I'm still holding out hope she will go for back carries someday. She will sit in the jogger if I give her snacks...

She might tolerate it better if she's not feeling well. You could try it around the house for a bit.

+1 to cabin fever-y. Between a few rounds of sicknesses and my work, we have not been out of the house as a family in 11 days! Even alone, I've been out on errands, but haven't been out for anything enjoyable (I'd even count Target!) since last Monday.
I have an oil change this morning though and plan on getting a holiday drink and chocolate croissant at Starbucks. *~living the dream*~

Does anyone else hate target's carts? They recline so far! X lways ends up in weird positions in that thing. I used to think he was just being uncooperative but I think it's the cart making it hard for him to sit up normally once he's buckled in.

20% off a frapp at Starbucks inside target with cartwheel!
rivers and roads V ends up "surfing" standing on the shopping cart seat anyways so I don't think I've noticed the Target ones sucking but I do like that they are plastic as opposed to metal.

(Ultimate first world problem, I know)
I actually love target carts because they're big sturdy plastic instead of cold hard metal like everywhere else by me. Eta, the ones at my grocery store at least have a little tray and place for sippy cup. Makes up for the metal.
Morning! My shopping cart feels are that my Walmart's cart seat tilts forward a bit, so for DS to sit in them he slides forward and I imagine his junk gets smushed. He has to keep pushing his butt backward. Although if DD is with he doesn't sit in them much anymore. I generally go to the store alone these days anyway.
I'm at work today, since I've only worked 1 other day this week. I'm not sure how long I'll make it. There's only 1 other person here and she's leaving at noon. Doesn't leave me highly motivated to complete the day. I might spend the afternoon at home getting more of my Xmas decorations out of the basement.

I have no shopping cart feels as long as my child doesn't catapult herself out of them.
So, I felt like a terrible mother last night. My daughter has decided diapers changes are the actual worst thing I could possibly do to her. She arches her back, screams, and immediately turns over no matter what toys I give or crazy noises I make to distract her. It was so bad last night that I ended up having to pin both of her arms under my legs so I could clean her up without getting poop smeared all over the living room. She lost it and was literally screeching at me, but damn kid, I can't let you sit in filth! When we were done, she crawled into my lap still crying and whimpering like I had ruined her life. Talk about ripping out my heart.

I definitely went through a phase of nearly having to sit on DS to change him.
With DD, I have to break out our fisher price remote toy that lights up and sings etc etc. Generally we don't do toys that light up and make noise (and neither does her Montessori) because they'd drive me insane, so this toy is sufficiently mesmerizing. So I save it only for diaper changes, and then only particularly bad ones that take a while. The novelty has not worn off yet.
So maybe try a diaper change only specific toy if you haven't already? I know you have probably tried it all though, so mostly I will just offer commiserations.
I know it's only a matter of time until I have to practically sit on DD for diaper changes too, and I am not looking forward to it.
So there's no live Santa at the mall here. I went and checked it out and it was a fake Santa on a bench and you take your own picture. No thanks.
Tomorrow DH's work is putting on a "breakfast with Santa" in the morning so we're going to try to go to that to get the obligatory screaming kid photo. Of course the forecast is for 90+ degree weather and the only semi nice Christmas-y outfit he has is a red long sleeve shirt with overalls. I figure maybe it'll be OK bc the event is indoors.

I have shopping cart feels in that I wish more stores carried double seaters. Costco and Superstore are the only 2 places I know of here that have carts with 2 seats. It would make shopping much more convenient especially when I just want to get in, get my crap, and get out with 2 kids in tow.
Not much going on here. I had to take my car in to get the driver seat window fixed. I'd press the button for the window to go down, and I'd hear the little motor (?) going but my window wasn't moving. I'm hoping it'll be covered by warranty.
I went through DS's clothes this morning to size him up. He's starting to outgrow 12m clothes in length. So pants are looking a little short on him.
Remember how my kid liked to hump the floor as he was trying to start crawling? Yea, apparently this is also how he tries to learn dancing. Humping the table.

We have the same problems with diaper changes. I sometimes have to pin her down. I only do it when there is a lot of poop but she gets SO mad. I feel bad but I'm not really sure what else I can do if I don't have a toy or cracker handy.
Writing Christmas cards is awkward, especially with relatives that you don't really keep in touch with, but still feel obligated to send a card. Maybe I should have just sent a family newsletter in the cards lol. I'm finding myself writing, "Hope you are well! Merry Christmas!"
