I'm 17 weeks today with my team blue triplets As of last Wednesday I'm on modified bed rest. I'm trying to lay down as much as possible to keep the weight off my cervix since it was getting dangerously short (2.6). I've been bugging them about a cerclage but both the OB and MFM said not unless I get below 2.5 and seem to think that the risk of infection is not warranted right now. Im trying not to worry and trying to do as little as possible to keep it from being an issue (if I can). Before this I was still working full time and lifting my daughter (though less than before) so it's a big change and hopefully my cervix rebounds in response to this. I go back on Thursday to check it. QOTW: I like Mexican wedding ring cookies and PB cookies. My Mom used to bake these around Christmas. Lately I've been wanting hot chocolate too.
I'm 25 weeks today. Had a bit of a scare last week, ended up in OB triage with contractions 3-5 minutes apart. Thankfully cervix was closed and fetal fibronectin test was negative, dose of terbutaline stopped the regular contractions. Trying to drink A TON of water and sit as much as possible to prevent it from happening in the future, so far only a few Braxton Hicks here and there, follow-up with OB today. I figure every day that passes where it doesn't happen again will make me more comfortable and know it was just a one time thing.

fightersince83, I hope the modified bed rest does the trick! I'm sure it's really hard to take it easy when you have a child to take care of and the holidays are right around the corner. And yes, Hot Chocolate! I had some Friday and Sunday. Yummy!
sms2524,- Sorry you had a scare but glad it seems to be resolved. Hope it's smooth sailing from here on out!
AFM- I will be 16 weeks tomorrow. I can't believe I'm at the 4 month mark! I'm still constantly worrying about everything. I hate that I have to wait so long now between Doctors appointments. I go for a scan on the 29th and that will be over a month without a doctors appointment. I'm also anxiously awaiting to feel movement from the baby.
QOTW- Hot Chocolate is definitely one of my faves during the holiday. I'm not a huge cookie person but my mom makes really good chocolate chip cookies.
Me-36 Hubs-35 TTC for 9 years several failed IUI's stage 1 endometriosis IVF #1 -Long Lupron- cancelled due to poor response. IVF #2- Microdose Flare- 5 eggs retrieved 4 fertilized. put back two "perfect" embryo's on day 3. -Negative IVF #3 on Estrogen Patch Protocol- retrieved 6 eggs, all 6 fertilized By day 3 all 6 were fair or poor quality. Transferred two fair quality embryos on day 3. None to freeze. BFP
sms2524 how scary! Fingers crossed this was just a weird, one time thing. I hope your OB can provide some reassurance.
AFM- 25w2d. We finished the registry this weekend, which was exciting! My mom is also getting us the crib and the dresser for Christmas! Still vomiting, and getting uncomfortable at the end of the day if I'm on my feet a lot or not enough. I had an echocardiogram last Wednesday, and the baby's heart looked perfect so we were released from the high risk doc. I have a regular OB appointment tomorrow- and from here on out I go every 2 weeks! Crazy!
Hello everyone! I'm 15 weeks 1 day today. My next appointment will be my anatomy scan. I will get a type 2 scan because I'm so high risk on so many levels: age, unicornuate ute, and IVF. Go figure who knew IVF would make me high risk.
I can't wait for this semester to be over. I'm the department chair in my department and I'm trying to schedule professors for Fall 2017 and everyone is being such a diva and divo. Ugh! Someone actually asked me if we could change the course day and time to fit her personal preference...wtf. QOTW: I love holiday sugar cookies. Mmmm
fightersince83 I have also been inquiring about the preventative cerclage and my MFM was also against it because of the infection risk. He kind of reassured me that I could also have one inserted if needed. My RE made me feel like I have to get one as soon as I get pregnant. How often are getting your cervix checked?

My MFM is seeing me every 2 weeks but since my OB appts are staggered between I have had appts each week the last 3 weeks. It's good timing right now given my changing cervix situation. After this week I have a 2 week wait till my next OB/MFM appt (unless they see some reason to have me come in sooner).
I'm feeling pretty good. Since the end of last week, I've had a few days of feeling lots of energy, and others where all I want to do is sleep. I'll take it over wanting to sleep all day every day.
Experienced baby people will enjoy this story. We ran out this weekend, and ended up stopping to look at car seats. We tested a few to make sure they fit in my backseat with enough front seat clearance. When we went back in, we were a hot mess trying to get the seats back in the base. Not installing them in the car, but just clicking them into the base inside the store. with no baby or pressure to do so. We were doing it backwards, at the wrong angle, and ended up leaving two of them just resting in the base because we gave up. It was humbling.

Hi ladies! I'm 24w1d. Yay for viability!! We saw the MFM today for a growth scan and both babies are measuring on schedule and weigh 1lb 8oz. They continue to check their hearts at every scan which kind of freaks me out but they assure me everything looks great. I had an episode of high blood pressure at my last OB appointment and had to do labs and a 24 hour urine collection. I am showing some protein but not enough for a preeclampsia diagnosis and my BP has come back down to normal levels. So they have me keeping a lBP og and trying to rest as much as possible. The MFM today said that's fine, everything looks good right now and no need to panic or worry. I see my OB again on the 27th and we will reevaluate.
QOTD: My favorite Christmas treats are peppermint nougats, they are addictive!
