Went to see Santa. That was a dud. She wouldn't even leave my arms. So I ended up in the pic.
I've got lots of housework to catch up on and I need to finish projects for my moms group homemade gift exchange. I'm crocheting a bunch of ornaments. Does that seem stupid? It's suppose to be a $15 limit but since I'm just using yarn I have all I had to buy was some pipe cleaners for an angel. I feel like I should add something else but I'm not sure what.
Chocolate? I feel like that is always appreciated.

I was thinking of getting a cute basket to put them in and can add some other things like chocolates too

We are home from the shopping trip. I got a bunch of gifts which was good. The negative is that G fell asleep in the car on the way home and is now fighting a nap. I am giving it 15 more minutes before I give up. I really need her to nap more than the 10 minutes she did in the car. 😞
Did some shopping w my mom today! DD is a crabby stinker so I'm thankful it's naptime. MIL went against our Facebook photo rules (for pics of DD) so I had to text her about that & just waiting for her response now is making me anxious. I don't like confrontation and she gets her feelings hurt super easily, but I'm being a big girl like DH wants and dealing with things myself rather than asking him to talk to his parents for me. Ugh.
Do we have the same mil?!?! I hope it resolves without drama.

We are having our department white elephant exchange tomorrow and I ordered a gift off Amazon. It was supposed to be here yesterday and now says it's late and make not arrive until the 15th. What?! Noooooooo. Do not want to go out shopping tonight!

Company holiday party tonight = night of socializing with grown ups and staying downtown in a hotel. Alone. And I don't have to go to work until noon tomorrow. You guys. This. Is. Huge.

Add me to the crazy kid club. It's probably because she only napped for 10 minutes all day but oh my god I want to pull my hair out. She is usually so good but today....not so much. It's exhausting.
Then I asked her what's in the microwave now. She said "money" (monkey). I thought she was playing pretend until she pulled Curious George out. She just kept saying "cook, cook!"
We did really well at her appointment. He's concerned about her communication score but is hopeful since she's making new sounds recently. If she's not saying 30 words in 3 months he wants to have her evaluated.
I'm happy with this because I think she's making progress.
Poor DS was coughing so hard last night he threw up all over his crib. DH and I had to change his sheets and pajamas and wipe him off at like 1030. Then I held him in the recliner from 130-3. I know DH got up with him at some point. He only has a cough and runny nose. I think I'm going to get some of the Zarbee's cough syrup to try. I know someone posted about it the other day. Anyone else used it?
Ugh this was us the other night. I steamed up the bathroom, did nose drops a couple times (double duty- made her cry too and drain), had her drink some honey water and gave Tylenol in case her throat hurt (mine does when I cough too much). Then I slathered her chest and feet w/ Vicks. Oh and a humidifier too. It didn't make her stop totally but it helped a lot- I finally did all that at 9pm- she had been in bed for an hour and a half already but just could not stop coughing. It was bad for 2 nights but she hasn't coughed once tonight. FX yours is short lived.

Re: Night coughs
L has been waking up in coughing fits at night for THREE WEEKS now, interrupting everyone's sleep. We took him into the doctor last week and he had a bad ear infection, and that seems to be clearing up but the cough will not go away. I'm tired. He's tired.
We have done: Zarbees, Tylenol, humidifier, hot bath before bed, baby Vicks, saline drops in nose, lots of water, elevating his crib (with a crib wedge)... I have literally tried it all and it's still happening. Sigh.

We did the saline mist in the nose, Vicks on feet plus we have those Vicks scent pads that go in the humidifier, Zarbee's...he seemed a little better today so hopefully tonight will be better. It's going ok so far.

Heat? DS gets a cough if it gets too chilly in his room. Also there's something about different types of humidifiers?
there def is a difference between the cool most and heated steam. The cool mist does nothing for us, but the hot steam works wonders.
sarahchrismck and they STILL won't talk about tubes?!?!
Oh! Forgot to mention that we have a consultation with an ENT tomorrow... FINALLY. I'm actually excited because a) I have the day off and b) Hopefully we can fix the problem! I'm sick of seeing him sick

I never thought about heat - we have been using a cool mist humidifier. I should try a warm one - thanks for the suggestion! I'll try anything at this point.

We have both- I would recommend the warm for sure! The cool one almost makes his bedroom cold/damp. Our warm one has a little spot where you can put the liquid vicks. Awesome!
