Good morning! I am laying in bed. G is still sleeping which is nice. She will be up soon though. Today I am going to get a mani/pedi and my eyebrows done. I need it so badly and we have a Christmas party for MHs job on Saturday so I want to look good for it. There is usually a ton of people there (500+) and it's a hotel. The food is good and generally the DJ is pretty good too. A major bonus for the party too is that since my dad works for the same company, he and my stepmom will be there too. 😄
It's going to be so cold today but we're going out of town tomorrow and there's some stuff I have to get done. I guess I'm going to have to dress DS up like that kid in A Christmas Story and carry on.
Hi I haven't been round much lately. The time difference is making it hard lately. By the time I get a chance to catch up here you guys are already asleep.
Just usual Xmas craziness here. I spend early mornings trying to do some of my Xmas cooking then after dh wakes up we go out to get things done before he goes to work.
Someone needs to explain to my DH that when you do the same thing 629419378 times and your wife is pissed every time and you apologize, that after about 50 apologies and no change, no one still believes you're actually sorry.

Talked to my mom this morning. Our 15 year old lab hasn't eaten well for about a month and hasn't drank anything in the last few days. My mom said she settled into her usual spot in the yard and hasn't moved in about 24 hours and wouldn't pick her head up this morning.
Since I'm off today, E and I are making the drive to pat her head one last time and tell her it's ok to go. It's bittersweet- we know it's her time but she was such a good dog, it's hard to let go.
Tomorrow is H's birthday so I'm going to attempt to make a cheesecake today.
I was planning on including a date night to go see star wars, which he loves but I don't, in his gift, but he's been a Grade A jerk the lately and I don't want to spend time with him. We haven't gone out since W was 7 weeks old though so it's overdue.

We saw her. Spent about 20 minutes sitting with her. Told her it was ok to take a nice, restful nap. She wagged her tail a couple times and she looks comfortable. I'm glad I had the chance to go see her. Probably better that I had E with me because I could have sat there all day petting her.

It was so windy last night and of course it was garbage night. I felt like I was up half the night listening to garbage cans roll down down the street.
It's our 5 year anniversary on Saturday! Anyone have any cheap and easy ideas of stuff to do? I feel like we should do something but I don't know where to start and I don't have a lot of energy anymore. Maybe I can buy some good ice cream and we can watch a movie or something?

You guise. L didn't ask to breastfeed last night before bed. First day of her life that she didn't have breastmilk. I'm so excited she's growing up! And a little sad because there was no warning for this shift so it feels sudden.

Congrats! Movie trip to see Rogue One? That would be my anniversary date. Lol

So let's just add to my pile on of shit going on in my life. My couch broke and the clutch cable on MHs motorcycle snapped. We have to two his bike to a Harley dealer and buy a new couch at some point. 😞

I have a list titled "Shit my husband says."
Here is one of the entries:
"Raising Canes food is like grandma went through her freezer and was all like "Well. I have some tenders. Oh-and crinkly fries. And how about some Texas toast?"
