I was hoping they'd close schools but no such luck. I guess they figure we didn't get snow so why close. Times like this I wish ds would ride the bus or I wish I wouldn't have to worry about him on it.

Home from being in the classroom. The 4 kindergarten classrooms were doing gingerbread cookies & using the oven in the preschool room that is semi attached to DS' classroom so it started smelling really good in there even though they are not my favorite. Lol

Also, ds' teacher gave me a gift for my help in the classroom & I'm truly touched. Just some candy in a small planter that I believe she painted to look like a snowman. I'm happy to feel appreciated even though sometimes it feels like I'm not doing much. Lol
I had my IUD placed today. This is my story We have a fancy family practice, where the main doc also practices OB, has an US-machine etc. The doc I got was still learning, apparently. He took a sweet long time and conferred with the main doc to make sure he knew exactly what to do. Better safe than sorry, but way to stress out a patient in stirrup. He figured it out and proceeded by chatting about why I wanted off the BC pills as he went ahead with the speculum. Spoiler: finding words to express that post pregnancy the pills sucked the libido right out of me does not combine will with doc looking at the lady garden and inserting stuff. 'Try and relax' LOL. The measuring/probing part was worse than the actual insertion. Took an ibuprofen just in case, but so far, so good.

DS came home with a gift for me & he wanted to stay in the garage & have me go inside first & go in my room so he can pretend to be Santa & put the gift underneath the tree 😂😂 He then made me open it. Wasn't allowed to wait for christmas. It was a calendar they made which is funny because I just ordered one we usually do every year. His could totally suffice as one we could use. Maybe we'll use his in his playroom since he's obsessed with dates.

Also word on the street with the kindergartners is that they made the cookies & then they "disappeared" (I bet during a time that they were away from their classroom like lunch/recess or an extracurricular class.) So I saw a missing sign by the office. I wonder what the storyline will be about it tomorrow because I know they're doing gingerbread houses tomorrow. They've gotta coincide.
