I'm getting the last few Christmas presents after work today. DH is home with Flint, our older two (9&11) and three 90lb dogs lol. (We're Christmas dog sitting for friends) wish him luck! Lol

Currently pumping them back to work where every customer thinks they are a special snowflake who can skip ahead of all of he other stuff I have to process. I really hate line cutters...
The highway was open but reduced to one lane this morning. They are still cleaning up the semis and chemicals over 24 hours later.

I have a ton of errands to run today that I didn't do yesterday. DS1 is at daycare, so L and I will be out and about most of the day. Going to finish my coffee and then mobilize. The low tire pressure light came on in the van so I'll have to take care of that; not excited about pumping air into my tires when it's -14c out there!
We're doing nothing. Winter is boring. I''d like to just wander around a store but DD1 begs for literally everything. We can't do the mall play area because we need to avoid germs so we can see my FIL.
DD1 has been begging to go to after-school care. I used to blow it off with 'maybe someday'. Lately, she's been more persistent so I explained that after-school care is only for kids whose parents can't pick them up right after school, and no she is not going.
So yesterday she told her teacher she had to go to aftercare , followed the other kids to the aftercare classroom, and was settling in playing with toys while I was standing in the parking lot in the cold with a baby wondering where the heck she was. GRRR.
I need to step away from Facebook. My sister posted about her daughter being bullied. So much teacher and school bashing in the comments. Telling her to go to the supers about it, call the police and charge the kid (gr 4) tell her to hit him back. Such nonsense. I commented with why in my experience as an educator that doesn't work I got a lot of ignorant comments back.

Ugh. I would like to go back to bed and start today over please. Or I guess technically yesterday. Little miss decided to have another up all night party. She was literally WIDE awake from about 2:00 to almost 4:00. Then decided it would be a great day to sleep in, when I really needed to get out the door early to be able to do some stuff at work before having to leave for a dentist appointment. So I had to call my boss and tell him I wouldn't be in until after my appointment... when I already had to leave early yesterday to have a locksmith come to our house because our front door lock stopped working. Luckily, my boss seems genuinely understanding but I still hate needing to be away so much at the start of a new job. NEED. ALL. THE. COFFEE.
We're snowed in again today, this is so unusual for us! My aunt and uncle and coming from FL for a visit and they fly in today. Boy are they in for a shock going from warm, sunny Orlando to Portland where there's snow on the ground, the potential for more this weekend, and a high of 38!
icaughtfire, why the eff would they leave an open cup of coffee in the fridge? What a dumbass.
Ray, it's -10 here with windchill, so I am with you. It SUCKS going outside when it's this cold, I wish it was one of my days off.
I have no idea what to make for dinner. I can't go out to eat again this week, but I hate cooking at night on days I work. I didn't plan ahead so I didn't do a crockpot meal like I usually do. Waah. We've been doing clean eating for a while at home, so everything I have to make takes so. much. effort.

I woke up with DD's stomach bug so I spent 5am on the toilet holding a bowl for vomit. So it's obviously a sick day. Unlimited screen time over here and I slept with the baby 9-11. I was not good this morning. It was so bad I didn't want coffee. I always want coffee.
Did anyone check the Amazon link for the toy sale? There are some really good deals on there for things our babies will be interested in soon. Damn it, and I thought I was done shopping! If you haven't click it, you should.
I just realized that today marks a year since I had to have emergency surgery and now I have all the feels. The thought of Sam not being here with us is heartbreaking, I can't imagine not seeing his little face each day. I'm so glad he's ours

I need to stop looking at those deal announcements because every time I click on one I am so tempted!

Yeah I need to step away haha, I went WAYYYYYY over budget for Christmas this year. And we haven't really bought anything for Moo, I was just going to gift her some of the baby toys in the attic that Addie hasn't seen in a long time. Is that bad?! Haha, I don't really care, it's cheaper!

There was a sale on Green Toys announced a couple days ago and I impulse bought the boat and submarine. I think I'm saving them for birthdays because I know we'll be overwhelmed with Christmas gifts.
I bought Baby R one toy for $4, then wrapped up baby food and a new bib , so no I do not think regifting baby toys is bad

This is me! I was done shopping for DS1, everything wrapped and ready to go. Then I went to Walmart today and ended up buying him two more things.
-21 windchill here, under a snow squall watch. Froze the tips of my fingers pumping air into my tires!
L and I had a glorious time shopping indoors at the mall, though! There's a huge outdoor outlet mall 40 mins from me and for the life of me I can't imagine who would shop there in weather like this. Indoor malls all the way!
Woke up this morning to a water notice. Not a boil notice but a full on water notice. Do not use the water at all - even to bathe in. Apparently I live in a third world country at the moment. We took a bath with baby wipes this morning.....

cabbagecabbage you know it's bad when you don't even want coffee! Hope you all feel better fast.
I've been Christmas shopping all day in the freezing cold. I've only got 2 more things to get now, I just want to be done! We're suppose to get a bunch more snow this weekend too.

This is my view right now... snowing like crazy. Getting anywhere from 10-30cms. DH is already 20 Minutes late. I have some regret about prioritizing Christmas shopping over groceries today! Hope everyone likes soup and kraft dinner!
Ew. I hope that doesn't come north littlesthobo lol
I got the last of our Christmas presents now. I just have to bake the sharpie mug I made for my dad and block the crochet stars I made for my mom. Then I'm done. It feels weird. My dad and I common yo shop for my mom on the 24th.
I'm really proud of our shopping this year.
We bought the boys three new shirts, a sweater, and underwear each. Not terribly exciting but they rarely get brand new clothes at their moms so I'm glad they'll have something nice to wear. We got SS2 a really cool pikachu toque, and some paint and canvas (he likes art a lot) Ss1 got a Jenga game. F got a busy blanket, hat and mitts, and a Canada ABCs book. Our "family gift" from Santa is a 6 in one games set with checkers, chess, Chinese chess set etc.
We didn't get any random gifts for the sake f having something else to open so I am happy with that.
Aside from stocking stuffers. I absolutely hate stockings. I'm crocheting us all new ones for next year that will be considerably smaller for less crap lol
Just double checked - were only supposed to get 3-5" here phew. Don't out if you don't have to littlesthobo!
We're all home and in for the night! No plans for tomorrow either. It's really bad out there, apparently a school bus tipped over and they've pulled the plows off the roads due to poor visibility.
