We really liked Leo for this next one it's a boy, but DD is Piper and I forgot that on Charmed the characters of Piper and Leo were married. DH and I just can't do that (especially since we are asked if she's named for Charmed, no she's not). Back to the drawing board.
We are having a real hard times with names this go round. Our kids are Everett and Piper. We don't know what we're having (we are team green). DH still likes Henry, which was a contender last time, but I'm not feeling it. We also like Miles. We have nothing for girls.
That's a pretty obscure pop culture reference to worry about. That show has been off the air like 10 years right? I've never seen it so I wouldn't have known but I really wouldn't think twice about it.
DW immediately got the reference, but said she wouldn't let it stop her using the names, since it's not like naming your kids Bella and Edward or Romeo and Juliet.

I got the reference right away too, but its such a 90s reference, i think it will be even more obscure in another 10+ years. Piper wouldnt deter me from using Leo

stahlop, We have an Everett too. If this baby would have been another boy, I think the name would have been Gideon. And since it's a girl, our #1 pick currently is Stella.

Serious question: is Charmed really that popular that it would influence your decision? I've never even seen it.

I immediately got it too. I agree that it isn't a big deal. I watch the show all the time; they just have some great names.

I've never seen it. I can understand your hesitation but I'm going to guess that Piper and your DSs' future classmates will never get the "charmed" connection.
