I don't have a doppler but my friend's sister offer to let me borrow one she had during my last pregnancy. Maybe I'll out myself and ask if she still has it.
My next appointment is January 3, so it's not that long of a wait I guess.

We got to tour my DS future classroom yesterday and it was really nice and his future teacher seemed very kind so I am feeling pretty good that he will be able transition into that setting in January.
that stinks. How many weeks/days were you? I went yesterday at 10 weeks exactly, per the NPs request that I saw (they were just doing all the blood work at once), and the lab tech seemed irked that I was there at 10 weeks on the dot, and said the test might not work if my dates were off. If it's such a big deal they shouldn't have 10 weeks as the minimum.
I was 10w5d. The person who did the draw missed my vein so she just wiggled the needle around. It took 45 minutes to get the 6 viles and she broke the vacuum on the last one and at one point the blood was running down my arm instead of into the tube.
Having done treatment cycles before, I knew it was a bad draw and I miss the lady at my RE!
But now I'm worried that the baby didn't make it past 9 weeks (when I had my last ultrasound) and that's why the DNA wasn't there.
well that sounds like the blood draw from hell. I bet the bad draw had a lot to do with it!
So tired. Xmas shopping not completed...this is going to be interesting. I'm foreseeing a lot of gift cards. It's just my grandfather that I'm completely stumped on. Usually I do baking for him but no energy. He's blind and his main hobby is listening to audio books but I know he's getting a whole bunch of gift certificates/credits for those already. My grandmother is getting a photo of DS with Santa (along with some other stuff) but I can't really give that to both of them. Maybe something charitable....
I always chuckle when people say this. Like girls are fun too, right?
Not trying to call you out, I just see people say these things when they come up. It's interesting to me.
I just meant I have a boy and he's fun. Saying that doesn't mean girls aren't fun.
I get what you were saying, but when I see parents saying "well girls are so much fun" and "boys are the best" it just makes me laugh because it's one of the same.
Like I said, not calling you out. It's something I've always thought as silly.

lol when people asked me what i was having last time the answer is always 'oh, congratulations", or "Oh congratulations, boys/girls are so fun" I feel like people just need a response so they say that.
I got to the point where i kinda wanted to ask what their answer would have been if i'd said the opposite sex - it's an odd thing to congratulate me on, i had no part in determining sex lol.

I get where you are coming from but I mean...what are they supposed to say? I've been at the tail end of pregnancy and super over the questions but at the same time, it's better than a blank stare?
I'd take "cool, I'm sure you'll have so much fun with your little one!"
I'd take "cool, I'm sure you'll have so much fun with your little one!"
This is essentially the same statement. People are just saying that they are happy for you and trying to relate to you (see above when poster said she had a boy too). They'd say the same thing about boys and girls because everyone has known a little boy or girl at some point in their life. But you're allowed to feel what you feel about stuff so koko.
Ok, but if someone says "that's awesome! I have a little boy and he's a blast!", it's sounds better to me and more relatable than "boys are so much fun"! I know it's just semantics, and I'm not losing any sleep over it. I just had an opinion on a comment that is made frequently.
