We're doing crispy carnitas for dinner. I'll make some guacamole also.
Breakfast is the hardest for me since I don't normally eat it (bad, I know). Yesterday my breakfast was just some random fruits and veggies and a bunch of water.
We didn't make it to the grocery store over the weekend and ended up with McD's for breakfast. But compliant foods have now been stocked so it's on! I'm making this for dinner tonight:
Reading this thread as I really need to jump back on the wagon...
@mrspanpan, do you have curry & garlic? I'd use the coconut milk, the chicken, and the potatoes to make a curry. That was one of my favorite W30 meals and you really can't mess it up.
I am doing Whole 30 ish....just trying to change my lifestyle to a more Paleo way of eating, not necessarily for 30 days.
I had bacon, eggs, sautéed spinach, and one slice of sprouted toast for breakfast. I am still BF a couple times a day so need a bit of carbs, especially in the morning.

I do have those. I haven't had good luck with curry in the past (I'm not sure why, but the few times I've tried it did not taste good). Maybe I will give it another try tonight!
I second the curry idea. I found that I need to add a little salt to mine, and lime juice gives it a bit more depth. I also put vegetables in mine, but curry is a staple here. If you have diced canned tomatoes, I throw those in too. And I often serve it over cauliflower rice.
My kids were insane last night so I had to do my lunch prep this morning, but I also was able to do dinner prep at the same time (crockpot!). So I should do pretty good today, but I have that day 2 foggy feeling. I'm also feeling sore all over, but that may have been from my intense workout yesterday.
Is anyone still tracking their food/calories? I did it for my last round, but I just saw that you're not supposed to. I'm going to try and not track...but it's so hard! Also, has anyone seen that the portion for eggs should be as many as you can fit in 1 hand w/o dropping? For me that's 4. So I had 4 scrambled eggs with veggies and a some diced up ham (which I don't think is actually compliant, but I cut off the outside which would have contained any glaze). It's been 3.5 hours since breakfast, usually I would have needed a snack an hour ago but I'm not hungry yet.
Lunch is salad & leftover shepherds pie, for dinner I have some boneless chicken thighs that I'm going to bake, with roasted potatoes and veggies.
I tracked calories for the first week or so of my W30, @ali7p. I was just curious to see if there were any trends to how much it was taking for me to feel satisfied. I think the lack of calorie counting is one of the most appealing parts of W30 though!
Dumb question time: are white potatoes allowed on W30? I know sweet potatoes are the better choice, but they get boring. I ate white potatoes my last W30 but I just went to check the shopping list and didn't see them on there.
@ali7p , I track in order to check how much protein I am eating. Which is never ever enough. It's interesting about that serving size. I usually only have 2 eggs.

I'm doing taco salad for dinner tonight.
Today was my official day one but I started avoiding sugar yesterday so I had a bit of a head start. It was mostly good except I woke up late for my doctor appointment and didn't get to make a cup of coffee. When I came home my mom had dumped the coffee and cleaned the pot. I ended up getting a coffee with almond milk at Dunkin so I'm sure that wasn't compliant. I also made paleo mayo which is tasty even though the raw egg in it freaks me out a little. Now I want to turn it into ranch.
We had spaghetti squash, chicken sausage and I made a marinara sauce. I was supposed to make that for dinner last night but we had a late lunch and weren't that hungry so had green smoothies instead.
Tomorrow I'm making a skinnytaste chicken and avocado soup (kinda like a tortilla soup) and I'm excited for that. I'm hoping I can get to Wegmans for plantain chips to sprinkle on top 👅
I had Asian style pork over cauliflower rice, topped with shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, cilantro, scallions, and cucumber. It was delicious, easy, and didn't taste "diet".

How do you handle being out all day? I'm taking the kids to the museum today and there's only so much I can bring with in my purse. Do you just do your best to eat compliant, wait until you get home to eat or something else I'm not thinking of?

I generally take a Lara Bar and some almonds then do most of my eating when I'm home. Or I'll get a salad without cheese or dressing, but that isn't much fun.
On my menu today B: pumpkin pie chia pudding L: tuna salad and roasted cauliflower D: I haven't 100% decided yet but maybe Greek burgers (I mix up ground turkey, kalamata olives, oregano, garlic and chopped red onion and cook the patties on my Forman grill. And I make a tzatziki dipping sauce) and some roasted veggie on the side.
Yesterday I drank a cup of tea in the afternoon when I was craving a snack and it really seemed to help.
Good good day today! B: egg & veggie scramble L: leftover shepherds pie & a kiwi S: Apple & cashews D: chicken thighs, roasted sweet potatoes & roasted veggies (chicken & potatoes bake in one pan w/ a Dijon vinaigrette, one of my fave recipes from my last W30).

Recipe, please? I have all those things and that sounds great!
I'm a little late to post, but I am doing a January W30 too. Back in July, I went 21 days. I had a lot of family in town at the time and it was too hard to cook separately for everyone. I felt amazing while I was on it though, but the last few months have been a horrible downward spiral for me of weight gain. I gained back the 25lbs I lost and then gained 5 more. yuck.
I've been doing great, but probably eating too much fruit. With all of the diet changes, I have a tough time controlling my blood sugars at first and tend to have to eat more to fend off the lows until I can adjust my insulin appropriately (I have type 1 diabetes).
