Happy Monday! I am having a lazy day today. DH isn't working so he is going to be in charge of the toddler. Sounds like they may be leaving the house to run errands. The drywall guy is finishing up the basement this morning, should be done soon I'm guessing.
We are going to see Rogue One this afternoon with my mom's side. Then stopping by a friend's house to see her new baby and heading home. And then somehow trying to get this kid back on schedule over the next week. Bah.
Day of house stuff around here. Organizing and recuperating. Holidays are exhausting. I tried out my new waffle iron and yummmmm so fun! L was a huge fan. I'm still sick but on the mend (I think?) so working tonight. Already looking forward to the weekend Getaway at my BFFs house for NYE! Yay!!

We have step mother in law dinner. I spent 200$ in no time between Carters and RW&co for my new work clothes but I save a ton based on what I bought 138$ at carters for 64$ And $361 for 168$ at RW

Afternoon! We are having a lazy day. H is out moving snow. The kids and I are being mellow. I have a few gifts of DD's to get out of the packaging yet (God I hate kids toy packaging), but then I need to do some damage control on our toy situation. It's ridiculous.
So yesterday we had a huge prime rib and then planned to have a small ham for whoever doesn't like prime rib. We ended up having a 21lb prime rib and an 18lb ham. Huge. Leftovers everywhere. I'll have to make some soup with the ham this week and freeze the rest in cubes I'm thinking for future soup or omelets. What do you do with leftover ham? I already have a bunch of deli ham in the fridge from DS's bday party.

That's SO much meat!! I don't like ham so I'm no help but your situation entertains me
Just kidding. No movie for us. We can't fit that in with packing up and all the things and still get back at a decent time for his folks, soooo fuck it I guess. My mom is pissed. She already feels like the in laws take over when they come to down, so this doesn't help.

chocolate my mom freezes big chunks for quick dinners, and to dice up for eggs, quiches, soups, etc. They do a lot of quiche actually. I LOVE ham. I always wish there was more, haha. I also totally forgot to respond to your cornbread question from the other thread! Ironically it's just the honey one on the cornmeal package And then baked in cast iron skillet, topped with honey butter. So good! I will find the bag and take a pic of the recipe when I can.
My favorite presents: new flexible cutting mats (mine are gross and/or have been tossed), new purse to fit baby things when running errands, and a gift certificate to Plum Paper so I can get a super new awesome fancy planner. Because being an adult rocks.

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a good holidays. DS doesn't seem terribly excited about any of his new toys. I left him with DH this am while I met a friend for coffee for a few hrs. This was the first time I've been able to get out by myself without DH or DS so yay.
DS had a massive dinner. Like I added food 7x after the inital serving and he probably could have kept going but I cut him off at the 30 min mark. Of course, no surprise when an hr later, we had a boob refusal before bed. Oh man I was not prepared for all those tears as I attempted to move onto books and DS was looking at me like I was looney. He did eventually take it so false alarm but oh man. This weaning thing is going to be a doozy for me. I'm so sorry to those currently going through this for real.
rivers and roads, were you able to get DS in to a dr? Has he been any better today?

Omg I should have told you over Black Friday they had a sale!! I totally bought one for 30% off. Follow them on IG and watch for a sale! There might be some on sale now.
DD has pooped a lot over the past couple days. More than her normal (which is 1-2 times every other day lately). This afternoon she had a couple that were kind of looser, not a ton, like no blowout. But then a little blood tinged at the end (like she went a tiny squirt more immediately after I changed her). She hasn't had any more since then and she's been acting totally normal. Small fissure from going a lot??

Yes I'm really hoping they have a new year sale or something. I couldn't justify spending my own money on an expensive planner, but that's what Christmas lists are for.
What's worse: having your baby pull your hair, or, having your baby grab a chunk of your neck and pulling. Either way, it hurts like heck.
I cut DS's nails a couple hours ago and it still feels like he's clawing me.
I took our tree down today. I meant to put our living room back to normal and tidy some of the clutter, but the kids went down so easy for their naps , so I took it as a sign I needed to nap as well.

Actually, now that I think of it, mine was 40% off but it was one of the ready to ship planners, I didn't customize anything. So those had a bigger discount. That was a good idea to put it on your list!

I'd run it by the pedi. Could be that or could be from something more serious.

What a day. Went to step mother in law for dinner. Freezing rain. The absolute worst weather possible. So dangerous. We got home safe but my adrenaline was spiking the whole drive home, not even kidding.

Well she pooped after supper and it was normal consistency and color. I gave her cheese at lunch, which she's never really eaten before. I'm wondering if that's not what bothered her stomach.

Dairy sensitivities can cause blood in stool, that's kind of what I was thinking since you've mentioned it before.

That was my thought too, after I thought about it a bit. I've given her shredded cheese a couple times, but I don't think she's actually eaten any of it. She sort of played with it and maybe didn't like the string texture. Today I chopped up a slice of cheese and she loved it, although she didn't even eat half of the slice, because I was feeding her other foods too. But perhaps it was enough to do it. Bummer.

We left early enough for my in-laws that we beat the worst of it. My windshield kept wanting to ice over at one point, though, so I knew it wasn't going to be pretty. We decided to stay the night rather than risk the 1.5 hour drive home!

This was my first thought too!
👎🏻 Stinkin' dairy. I just remembered she's had pieces of grilled cheese dipped in soup and that never seemed to bother her. Maybe because it was mixed in with other stuff, yesterday was plain cheese. Hell, I don't know.
