If I have three 20-30 minutes pump sessions at work and use my 30 minutes lunch break for one of those sessions, do I have to stay and work extra 40-60 minutes to make up the pump time?
depends on your employer. If they make you clock out for the breaks (because legally they don't need to pay you for it) then they may require to make up the time if you are contracted to work x amount of hours for them a week. I'd talk to HR.

I would recommend discussing with HR. I have 3 15 min sessions a day. I lunch while working at my desk and stay an extra 15 min a day. I am required to work atleast 35 hours but work 40 for the extra money until I become salaried.
gldnbearz I'm hourly now since I'm part time. We don't have an HR as we are privately owned and our owner runs the show. What I've done is take two 15 minute sessions pre and post lunch, but find "desk" work while doing it. I ask what needs to be done in back while I sit. Then my clocked-out time is my middle session at lunch. So far my immediate manager is fine with it. I think as long as they see I'm being efficient with it, no harm no foul...every workplace is different but this works for us.
I'm FT hourly and my employer doesn't make me make up the time. I'm honestly not sure my boss is aware that the company doesn't have to pay for my pump breaks though.

I think this depends entirely upon whether you are salaried or hourly. If hourly, then yes, if imagine you need to make up the time (assuming you are doing 0 work while pumping). If your salaried, it likely doesn't matter so long as you get your work done. Your hr should be able to clarify.

I'm FT hourly and get 6 hours a day of facility time. I have to punch out for the two 30 min sessions and end up staying at work for 7 hours but only get paid for 6.
