That gif brought to you by magic songs that put babies to sleep.
So I found out that when mom and sister were watching the babies last week they were desperate to soothe Adeline.....
My mom started singing
"To the windows, to the walls, til the sweat drop down my balls..."
And she started smiling.
In all fairness my mom has an amazingly soothing voice, great singing voice. But could we have chosen a better choice of song to sing to the one month old?

Got her down by 10:30 last night. Woke at midnight, 4, and 6. She didn't want to eat so I went into the kitchen to get my pump, the walk made her pass back out until 8:30 at which time she got her medicine, nursed, and fell back to sleep. It's almost noon and this is my current situation: I am both relieved that she is catching up on sleep and terrified as to what this means for the rest of the day.

kleigh That's hilarious. Lillian used to pass out listening to Taylor Swift and DH plays/played rock music for them. It almost always works.
sophiegrace Glad you got some sleep finally! Hopefully tonight will be just fine.
waitwhat I know what you mean. I have outfits that I won't even pack up yet. There's a slim chance there will be a #3, but chances are good this is it. I think part of the "will there be 3" discussion is me not wanting to admit this is it.
Hi! We had a rough night here and got a late start to the day. Caroline would not sleep, was super fussy, cried a lot--totally unlike her. DH even took her for a midnight car ride and pushed her around the house in her stroller. No luck. She hadn't gone #2 all day and finally bn 2-3 am she went. It was...explosive. But after that she settled down and finally slept.
Today we are going to get a Roomba!!!! I am more than a little excited.
Here's my sweet, currently napping girl in her bouncy seat yesterday.
Lol keight38. The songs that DS liked were, "i like to move it, move it" (not sure of the actual title) and "Who's that Lady?" (except I'd sing, who's that baby?) I sing very few actual children's songs.
sophiegrace glad y'all got some sleep; hopefully she's just playing catch up and will go down easily tonight
kleigh omg how cute are you? You're going to nail it next week.
Just got back from my haircut a little while ago. DH survived his hour and 45 alone with the 2 kids unscathed! My hair looks awesome and I'm excited to go on a real date tonight. I think I decided on an outfit. May PIP later.
D was wakeful from 8-11 last night but then slept from 11:30-6:30. I feel so much better than I did yesterday.

Here's my little guy ready for Monday night football. For the second week in a row, the Lions have lost and Colin has promptly barfed all over his shirt.
I changed C into a new outfit and he promptly had a massive blow out. Is it normal to have watery poop all the time? He pees a ton too.
It can be. Lillian's was pretty watery and had blowouts once a day for a while. It got thicker later on. Lilah's has always been less watery. I ebf. Dunno if it's normal with formula. Lots of pee is always good. Should be relatively clear or very very pale yellow.

Yea it's just weird because he seems to be trying to poop all day long but when he finally goes, it's watery. I'll just keep an eye on it and bring it to to the pediatrician at our next appointment.
goldenlove3 Alec pees SOOOOOOOO much. I am not exaggerating, on him alone we go through about 15-20 diapers a day.
cheshie6 Mine are out cold right now too, so far 10:45-2:50. I'm afraid of their dispositions if I wake them. Can they do this next week when I'm alone please?
dashook YOU better AW yourself woman. I wanna see date night outfits so I can be jealous.

goldenlove3 I think you FF (may have made that up), but for breastfed they are super watery until solids are introduced. I know it's different formula, but not sure how exactly..But sounds normal to me as long as he's going.
I'm trying to convince H to go out for tacos and margaritas tonight (with the babies). I'm losing.
Consulation prize = his mom and sister are coming over. Yay?
Did I tell you that his sister had strep throat two weeks ago. On Xmas eve I spotted a prescription medicine syrup on the counter with the little cup things beside it with remnants of orange liquid. I didnt want to raise a war bc the week prior I made us leave immediately bc his dad had used the fireplace the night prior and it was smoky AF in there. But I brought it up to H when we got home. MIL swears no one is sick today but I has no trust.

Hi! We were out and about this morning at a mall that was a little depressing and I got antsy that it was too germy. Granted my own family is just as germy, so hoping we don't get sick. N seriously is sleeping up a storm the past 2 days....Like I'm concerned it's too much. Watch her wake up tomorrow and be a size bigger. At least she was awake enough to put on a real outfit and attempt some pictures this morning.
She's in a cute new outfit. I'm hoping she doesn't follow DS's growth curve exactly so we can get some use out of her cute 3m clothes before jumping to 6m. She's going to be well dressed on maternity leave to hang out at home with me!

kleigh Ugh. I hate when people who know they're sick still come around babies. So inconsiderate. On the bright side, it's rare for babies to get strep. DH had a throat infection right after Lillian was born and my mom had strep later that same year. Both had contact with her daily so we asked her pediatrician about it. He told us it wasn't impossible, but very unlikely she'd catch it. Still, if you know you should stay away until you're not contagious anymore.
Am I the only one dealing with clogged tear ducts over here? M had them, too. But I swear they had cleared up by this point. I keep wiping out the gunk & massaging the duct. I feel bad for him.
C has had one pretty much since birth. Some days it is fine and the next he wakes up with a gunky eye. The pedi said that they eventually grow out of it. I believe the pedi can prescribe drops too. I'm team clean and massage until a later date.

He's mostly FF with usually one bottle of breast milk a day. I've always been concerned that there wasn't enough fat in my milk so maybe that's why.
We survived Christmas and are almost done with our revolving door of family visitors. My parents are coming up this weekend for a few days so my Dad can meet C. As nice as it was to see the family, I'm looking forward to having a few weeks with just me and the baby before I go back to work.
For those of you who are moving to 3-6M clothes, have you switched to size 2 diapers? I'm debating if I should buy another box of size 1 or open the box of size 2.

We have one. I feel so bad when he can't open his eye and when I have to wipe his eye he hates it. Asked the pedi because I was curious, they said it's usually by two months but they don't worry about it until a year.
