Whoa I didn't realize Adeline was still so far behind. Alec is in Size 1s but Adeline is still comfortably in Newborn diapers. She just graduated preemie clothes, some newborn stuff is a little big still. Yet Alec can fit some 6 mo clothing already. It's weird carrying him and then carrying her - such a weight difference.
Today I received the best offer without having to ask for anything and I just want to give thanks somewhere.
I've been stressing because with two infants in daycare full time my salary bo longer brings in much and I've had to consider SAH. I'd love to stay at home but it's not like that would actually do that much financially - it's just about even either way (working full time/day care full time VS stay at home and eliminate daycare expense) so it makes sense that I'd choose to stay at home with the babies.
Well, my manager called earlier to check on my return to work which is scheduled for Feb 1. During that call he stressed how much they'd like to work with me to ensure I return and offered for me to work from home 3 days per week for 6-9 months. I am literally freaking thrilled because this is the most lucrative options for us - I'll have to get some college help though but much cheaper than daycare plus I can snuggle at any time !
Wonder if ignoring creepy coworkers phonecall last week gave them the impression that I was running off.
Am I the only one dealing with clogged tear ducts over here? M had them, too. But I swear they had cleared up by this point. I keep wiping out the gunk & massaging the duct. I feel bad for him.
M had a really bad one. It did end up clearing up after two weeks, but the Pedi told me at her one month that the two month shots often do a good job clearing them up because they tend to cry harder than we normally let them. Something about the extra pressure.

If you are then so am I cheshie6. After waking at noon I put M in the Tula to get some stuff done since she was in a good mood and she fell asleep for another three hours. She's now struggling to keep her eyes open again after being awake for only two hours.
You're going to look amazing dashook!!! I'm glad you feel good with your new hair and hope you have the BEST time tonight.
sophiegrace, seriously, then he slept from 5pm -7:45!?! I'm hoping this is a growth spurt and he'll sleep tonight too! Otherwise, I'll be working thru candy crush or my nyt crossword puzzles lol

My MIL flew in today and we've been pretty busy. Took a walk around the lake this morning. Now that we live away from the city we don't go very often. I always think it's such a pretty place. We also had lunch out, made cookies, I organized my baking supplies, we went to the store, and then we had dinner. I also had my pp thyroid check. All is good so yay. Tomorrow we are going to look at the Pilot. I really like it and I think I figured out a way to fit everything so it's back to being my first choice. If it doesn't work for some reason we have a Buick Enclave reserved through next week.
Here is my littlest the other day giving me smiles.
kleigh that is so awesome, I'm excited for you!! tgrimes1980 D had a clogged tear duct basically from birth until a little over a week ago (so, about 4 1/2 weeks). It cleared up suddenly one day after weeks of massaging it, applying breast milk, cleaning daily, etc.
Our night out was THA BEST. The food was incredible, the wine was incredible, and it turns out my ILs picked up the bill too, which is obviously also incredible especially since it was like $250 lol
I am in such a good mood and would be forever grateful if this baby would decide to sleep tonight on top of it. A girl can dream, right?

My little chunker hasn't stopped eating all day today. He's been doing 3-4 oz every 2 hours. According to my tracker app, he's at 32 oz for the day. I just hope he gives us good stretches tonight and doesn't continue this 2 hour thing.
dashook How did you put breast milk in her eye? Did you pump & use a syringe?
Honestly? A lot of times it just sprayed in there by accident lol! Most times though when she'd nurse one side I would take a drop on my finger from the side not being nursed (which always leaks like crazy) and rub it into the corner of her eye and across the lid. I think a syringe could also work but you'd need to be careful because only a teeny bit is needed.
Almost 2am and still up! Anybody up yet? Anyone haven't gone to sleep? L usually ends up asleep at 2am but at 01:53, I'm not hopeful this will occur tonight. Lol. We're due to get 12-16 inches of snow later today so I'm not sure if napping will be possible as I need to plow the driveway!?!

I'm up! It's only 11:20 here so I haven't gone to sleep yet. The baby should be ready to go down soon, I think. I'm hoping for at least a 3 hour stretch of sleep but would really love it if he gave me 4.
I hope you're able to find time to nap tomorrow (today) cheshie6!
danib, it's a long driveway and to get someone else to do it can be expensive considering we're not on contact. It would be tolerable if we contracted someone in September
I have no clue why he called, I let it go to voicemail. He incorporated a Merry Christmas as the guise but I think he wanted to see it/when I was coming back as he called the day after 6 weeks (keeping in mind he always thought I was entitled to 6 weeks - not familiar with FMLA options). I never called him back, rude as that may seem I am on leave and we aren't "buddies".

I don't think it's rude. Even though he thinks he's your manager, you owe him nothing.
