We got take out last night and put the baby down an hour early because she seemed really tired. But we were tired too and went to bed around nine. Another failed attempt to DTD. Maybe I need to go back to the doctor, because I can't manage full penetration and my scar tissue started bleeding.
I had a hilarious nose frida fail last night, and my baby had no idea why I was laughing at her. But I couldn't stop. What I was trying to get in the little tube got stretched across her cheek....
That happens to us also. I have a tissue in hand ready to snag those. LO hates having her nose cleaned.
I hate the nursing bras I have. Two are unlined Bravado and two are more of a bralet. The unlined ones have a weird pointed cone shape and gets all wrinkled with the Lansinoh breast pads. Looks way too frumpy to go back to work. The bralet ones remind me of a sports bra and are comfy. I had to remove the padded inserts because the shape was weird for me.
I see Target has Gilligan Omalley nursing bras. Does anyone have experience with these? I was in the small 34a club and now have one bigger and one smaller side.
briannea I would certainly call the doctor, at least to double check! I hope you are feeling okay -
gldnbearz My baby used to hate it, but now she doesn't mind so much. Just her eyebrows turn red and it sort of takes her breath away. Man, do you laugh every time? And, I have the Gilligan and O'Malley nursing bras. I like the ones with the lace. They are comfy and not weird-shaped. I also have a plain material one and I do not like it, but i think that's more of a sizing issue. Also, I really like their nursing tanks.

I have 2, they aren't bad if you don't want to spend a ton of money on nursing bras.
We ordered food last night and I had a glass of wine and we put DS to bed at 8 and we watched the hockey game in bed. We did DTD last night, it was only the third time since lo was born. He is 14 weeks today and it is still so painful to have sex. I had an episiotomy and so many stitches! Sex doesn't really interest me these days, it's more scary then anything lol. I do miss it and I feel bad for DH so we did it. Hears hoping it's not always painful!
DS slept for 10 hours straight last night!! First time ever!! He has been waking every two hours lately so that 10 hours was a shock!!!
zengal I'm not using any strict method, just letting him run around with no diaper and looking for signs he needs to go and reminding him to sit on the potty. I've rewarded him with m&ms and new play doh (his favorite thing ever). I was hoping I wouldn't have to bribe him like that, but oh well, we do what we have to do. After a few battles of will we've had a pretty successful day. Two accidents this morning, but several successes and I think he's getting the hang of it.
With regard to postpartum periods, you can all be jealous of me. I haven't had a period since June 2011 because I got pregnant on my first cycle after having DS1 when he was almost 2 years old. But don't feel too jealous because the reason it took so long was because that's when he finally started sleeping through the night.
-45 windchill tonight, we are going to miss Walking Dead night
Why are you going to miss TWD?? And that is soooo frigid! Where do you live? Stay warm!!
Vermont and we don't have cable. We have Netflix and Hulu. We go to my parent's place every Sunday to watch it with a bunch of family. We also have dinner there.

You can buy the season off of Amazon prime. Its how DH and I watch! Its the current season too...you just have to wait til the day after to view!
Omfg !! I told my uncle I would visit some stores for him to check on the merchandising of his products. (He wholesales to major home improvement stores nationwide and he had some in my area). I was in a hurry, but in an effort to help my husband, I tried to deposit cash in the ATM before I left and it wouldn't take it. Waste of time number one.
I said yes before realizing one store was an hour away on its own, (waste of time 2) and there were 4 total. Took me 4 hours to do and of course I missed a pump/feeding. The kicker on this is that my husband asks me to pick up a 5 Guys burger on my way home after I go to the other bank branch in town to try that ATM. The bank ATM keeps giving me an error message just like the last one, (WASTE NUMBER 3) and the burger....took 25 effing minutes!!!!!! I am still pissed! how hard is it to cook 2 thin ass patties and slap some mayo on them? Apparently they wanted to cock block my Chipotle visit because now I'm home, pumping and hungry. (Number 4 if youre keeping track.) Rant over. F#ck.
Eta I ate a handful of lunch meat for dinner last night...because sick kid. RIP Chipotle dreams...
tacocat - sorry about your day! If it makes you feel any better I always have chipotle dreams. The closest one is an hour away...
So I made shiner bock chicken fried steak and gravy tonight and for the first time in my adult life - I nailed the gravy!!! It was so good I could drink it hahaha. Only catch - it took a whole stick of butter....and since we didn't have a basketball game today, looks like that butter is sticking with me for awhile.
H committed us to an all day event in two weekends and I'm wanting to back out. That's a long time to be away from LO and I'm still EBF. Plus it is at Cowboys stadium and where the hell am I gonna pump?? It will prob be a long ass walk to the car to go back and pump? I'm torn, as it will be a fun rodeo with friends, but I just don't know if I'm ready!
Thanks calimomof1 they're forecasting snow tomorrow so all the schools and businesses are closed. Should be a relaxing day if I can get LO feeling better!
tacocat So glad you got your burrito! Hopefully it dissipated the frustration-
millm0m I would also hesitate to go...so funny how this mom stuff has changed priorities.
My mom has just arrived for a visit. She is an angel who is going to help me transition into going back to work. She'll watch the baby for a week before I start to take her to the sitter's. Makes the whole thing slightly less painful. Slightly.

I feel like I live in a tent, my house is so drafty and cold! LO1's room is toasty (small, nice space heater), and once in bed I'm fine, but hanging out w LO1 in his playroom today was awful.

Hey friends! We had a decent day today. 55* and sunny so we went to the zoo. LO did not like the car ride. Screamed for no lie, 35 min of the 45 min drive both ways. It was so painful because nothing I did would calm him.

My mom's house is terribly cold, too. I'm always bundling up to go there!
DH and I went on our Valentines date tonight to my mecca: Olive Garden. It's the second time in a row we've gone on a Sunday night at around 7, and both times it's been PACKED with families and we had to wait for a table.
Anyone else know why Olive Garden is the place to be on sunday nights? I always associated Sunday night dinner as home cooked "family meals".

Thanks HutterFlutter. It seriously sucks, zengal. My arm is going to fall off from the twisty binky shoving that was happening. I need to keep advil in the car.
On another Olive Garden note, HutterFlutter, did you hear about their $100 unlimited pasta special that they had going a while ago? H's coworkers bought into it. $100 for 2 weeks of unlimited pasta dishes with salad, breadsticks, and free soda. Free soda for the entire table. I don't think I'd be able to get $100 worth in just two weeks. Unless it included free dessert. They have a kickass birthday cake.

I got a gift card to a meal box site that delivers fresh ingredients and directions for recipes. We are trying it out next week. If we like it we may do it once a month.
