I was looking back at old videos of R. It's amazing how different they are now, how much they've grown. And now that I'm used to him as he is now, the old videos all seem so (still adorable but) rudimentary, you know? Almost robotic. And yet, at the time, it was like the most amazing accomplishment in the world - "hunny, look, he cooed, he smiled!" Lol. Anyway...
He's been very iffy about his food. It's starting to seem as though he only approves of "big boy" food; baby food is suddenly beneath him. He will only eat if it's bigger pieces, or on a fork, or straight from our plates. He is especially into taking bites all of a sudden. So last night I cut his avocado into slices instead of mashing or chunking like usual. He took one good bite, and then slid the entire rest of the slice in at once. It was a big piece, idk how he didn't gag himself. But, chipmunk cheeks and all, he chewed it up and swallowed like it was no big deal, then looked at me for more. Sigh.
Taking down the Christmas tree, and getting a few groceries. Otherwise hanging out - H is on vacation so it'll be nice to have downtime.
Yesterday we ran errands until 2 and then various people were at our house/dropped in from 3-11. It was good to see everyone but it made for a long day
Shit. I took my dog in to get his first flu vaccine mid November and then forgot to schedule his second shot later that month (apparently dogs are 2 weeks, not 4 like humans). And now it's been too long so we have to start the whole thing over. Sorry, pup.

I started taking down Christmas things yesterday. Not the tree though because I couldn't do it with both girls awake on my own so I was planning to do it after they both went to bed but S was doing her usual sleep for an hour, wake up to he held, lay down, repeat so I didn't get a chance. Hopefully tonight will be better. Also I'd like to complain about her constantly messing with my face when she's nursing. Super annoying. In other news, my friend is starting to sell LLR and just got her inventory yesterday. I am going over there in a little while (whenever the drywall guy deigns to show up) to help her unwrap it and get a VIP sneak peek. If anyone wants to be in her fb group, let me know. I may do an online party eventually, but I'm not sure yet.

What? Dogs get flu vaccines?
Yep. They're fairly new. And I guess it's been bad around here so all the boarding/day care places now require it.
Not much going on here. I don't think I've mentioned but for the past week-ish we've been struggling to get DS to poop. It's extremely frustrating. So I've been dealing with that this morning. Otherwise a mellow day. We will probably go skating with H's cousins and their kids later this afternoon, they rented the rink out.
I'm sure H will go fishing sometime tomorrow and DS has hockey tomorrow afternoon (right over nap) so he'll have to take him to that. I still haven't talked to H about NYE. I feel bad because I'm always in bed by 10, I can't stay up very late. But H does stay up later than me. I feel like I'll totally be a bore and he's going to want to go hang out with people but I think it'd be shitty for him to go out and us sit at home. I don't really want to invite people over either and have loud drunks while the kids are sleeping (already dealt with that on Christmas). So I'm torn.
Oh, I think I forgot to mention. We gave R some lasagna a couple nights ago to test out the eczema reaction again. And he was totally fine. So.. I have no idea what that crazy flare up was a while back. I wish babies came with a manual, lol.

We are with family tomorrow and then mil will stay the night here. Magoo was up at 630, I baked muffins, did groceries, I have to vacuum the entire house and clean the downstairs bathroom while he naps. And eat somewhere in there.

Oh man that sounds brutal. I also feel like I need to clean up before guests. Which has been impossible ever since baby arrived.
Today has been a low key day. H let me sleep in until almost 9, probably because I was up with DD a few times last night and up at 5:30ish with DS. Then we hit up Walmart for a bit. His grandmother sent a gift card for us, and one for DD, so we took her to pick out a toy for herself. She decided on a baby doll. It was so cute when she was carrying it through the store trying to comfort it (even though it doesn't cry).
No big plans this weekend. H and I will probably be in bed early tomorrow night. MIL is supposed to come over on NYD for a bit, so that should be interesting.
We play the "where's daddy, where's mommy, where's puppy" game quite a bit and he always looks correctly. Until a few days ago. Now he looks at my H for where's daddy with a huge smile, and then when we say where's mommy he continues looking at my H, smiling, and yells DA DA DA DA DA. Fine, kid! Fine. I'll just go cry myself to sleep. Wahhhhh.
Today when I laid DD down for her afternoon nap she started waving at me. I was like yes, sayonara my friend! Have a nice sleep! 👋🏻 She's been such a goof. She also figured out how to get herself on and off DS's little ride on car and loves it so much. Expect obviously she can't make it go yet, so she sits there and yells and bucks her body until you push her around.

It's hilarious how they tell you what they want. Ds points at the tv and shakes his booty. He wants his music on to dance. He has also started pulling the nursing pillow off he couch when he's tired. Like "feed me I want a nap" he's also smacked my boob at the same time. Rude and hysterical.
I'm sitting with my second glass of wine and just dyed my hair because greys. Dh says, well I really don't see them....wise answer sir.
