Wedding rings: H NEVER wore his. His job isn't really safe to wear one and some people have lost fingers because of it. And when he gets home from work he never wanted to put it on. So upon his suggestions, the last tattoo he went and got they tattooed a wedding ring on his finger. After we had spent money on 2 rings, because the first one was too thick for him.
I only take mine off for a few things: to put lotion on, when I'm working with raw meat or anything crazy like that, and using certain cleaning agents.
Awkward moment for Footloose here. You know my friend I see? I just had his ex at work and didn't recognize her at first until I saw her name in the computer and then unknowingly, made some noise of recognition lol.
So, tried to cover this up by blurting out "Oh, I do know you!" to which is met with a blank stare. So, haha, continued talking, "You're Parr- Uh, I met you at Parry's house. How are you?"
At what temperature does your school say it's too cold for outside recess? We're indoors if it's 10°F or colder counting wind chill. But you were taking about outdoor recess duty on a day when high is zero - yikes! I hope you have gotten to thaw out since that lovely experience!
Everyone on my Facebook feed is going to Disney for marathon weekend. I'm so jealous and trying hard not to sign up for any races right now. Must resist...
Someone on my local FB babysitting board posted that they are looking for a sitter because they pulled their kid from DC because she keeps getting sick. Um, welcome to DC? And what do you think will happen when she starts kindergarten?

Tell them all to stay home.
Dear marathoners, please avoid the becole family. Thank you.
ETA they're probably all wearing their race shirts or medals around property/parks... just trip them
My boss and I were just discussing my performance in 2016. He said he is amazed at the amount of work I accomplished, especially with being out on leave for almost 3 months.
Imagine the amount of work I could do if I didn't TCF....

It's too cold for recess at -10 windchill. It was -20 with windchill. The kids couldn't go out.
I have to yell at parents that park in the fire lane, so I had to be out even though it was too cold for students. 🤔
Of course my snowpants don't zip over preggo belly and coat barely zips!

Maybe at -20 it shouldn't matter if people park in the fire lane during drop off.
But -10 rule is impressive - you guys are tough out there!
Georgia is freaking out already about the weekend. Predicted to be highs in the 30's and lows in the high teens. Possible snow. I'm not freaking out - I just don't want to be cold!

I wish my principal thought so. We could watch from the office but no, we must go outside.
It used to be windchill of 0 but last year they went by -10 windchill. I guess they calculated how little long it took to get frostbite. It would take longer than 15 minutes, so it's ok.

Give us back all our cold weather. Today was like 55. It's finally getting cold this weekend but will be back up to 45 by the middle of next week. I'm so annoyed, I want our winters back, I want to wear a hat and gloves, I want to get a chance to go sledding

FIL send the kids a package. They were so excited to have mail from grandpa. Turns out he send them barf bags, in case they get sick in the car (they have never vomited in the car). WTF???
H lost his last year. He thinks he threw it out because sometimes he puts it in his pocket if he's doing something with his hands and then throws out all the garbage in his pockets. It wasn't expensive and we got the same thing on Amazon for cheap.
Yeah his pocket and trash was the other option. We'll see if it turns up but if not we'll be going to amazon too. I never realized how much he took it off (to shower, working in garage, etc). I pretty much never take mine off. Isn't this normal?
DH has a $20 ring from Amazon. He's on ring number 3 I almost never take mine off. Only when I'm touching raw meat.
I just signed DS up for soccer. I wonder how much it will resemble soccer and how much it will resemble a bunch of two year olds running aimlessly with a soccer ball somewhere in the vicinity. I'm thinking the latter... But we need an indoors activity to keep DS busy on weekends in the winter.
DD did the indoor in the fall. It was a bunch of two year olds sorta following along with drills and such they didn't play actual games. She loved it though was so proud of her soccer shirt and it was a good Saturday activity to keep her busy and get her tired.
So Clara has been on a mommy do everything kick. Tonight though, she wants daddy. Where is daddy? Traveling. Epic meltdown until I called him again and she could tell him goodnight and that she loved him.

We do this when H travels. We call when we are doing bedtime and put him.on speaker, seems to help. Sorry she had a meltdown.
